I'm considering buying a car from abroad so had a look on Nigeria Custom Service to see how much a car clearance costs these days. I realised its 70% of purchase fee.

Now I'm a bit confused. Does this mean if I get a car for 2000 euros, I'm going to pay 70% of that? Or do I pay 70% of what the car worths in Naija market?.


Can someone tell me how it works please.

clearing of car in Nigeria is not determined by the price of the car
the are factors that determines the cost of duty being paid

1 year of the car
2 size I.e SUV or sedane
3 the car itself I.e luxury or normal car
4 shipping line I.e is it grimadil, five star or others.
