Has anyone ever run their Fridge on a modified sine wave satchet inverter before?

How was the experience? Is it advisable?

For more context:
It’s an LG REFRIGERATOR of 199Litres.
I have the 210l capacity of the LG, I've powered it with a very sachet inverter (150W) whenever there hasn't been light for a couple of years now. It works fine, buh I'm not comfortable with it. LG have some rugged electronics as I've seen. I even powered my LG TV with the same inverter but stopped when I was hearing that humming sound from the TV.
Pure sine wave is more advisable, so you go rest. I'm in the market for one myself.

Infrared cooker this one na this same thing as hot plate na. I had it before na two seconds I take sell am quick quick. I have induction cooker but the minimum it draws is about 1000w I will really love that guys own that draws 800 and as low as 200w steady draw
Infrared is not the same as the regular hotplate o, the regular hotplate consumes a lot of power and can't be controlled.
You can select the output power coming from the infrared which makes it much better.
If you kept yours a while longer, you might have seen it's advantages.

Fouani stocked some panels and it didn't last like two days before they were sold out.
I have the feeling that they have customers who purchase their products offline and that's why they don't usually have products in stock.
Since the increase in exchange rate, they are fast becoming an annoying site to visit as about 70 percent of their products are sold out sef and it appears that they might never restock.

both Jinko, Longi, Ja are all good and in same category.

As for price of DC cables, 30m is same as 33Yards same as 99Feet. You either buy brand new or buy USEd or kukuma buy Aluminium cable if you can't afford to save up at all. Either way, ensure you go with a measuring tape, don't let them know you came with measuring tape and allow them sell to you what you tell them. When they are DONE, before payingthem a penny, bring out your measuring tape and measure to confirm it's complete. Those Guys sabi run person street while calling you Oga and Madam. Shine ya eyes.

As for the Solar panels, be sure you getting quality Solar panels.
I appreciate your response.
Please what mm do you suggest I use that can handle 15A consistently over that distance, let me know if I can afford the DC cable. Also, as an alternative, do I just request for aluminum cable without stating a particular price at the shop?
Is the aluminum cable 2 in 1 or I'm getting 66 yards in total to connect separately with positive and negative wires?

Also, regarding your last statement, how can I be sure I'm getting quality panels? Do I go and start testing the output in their shops or there's a method one can use?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by sofdoc1: 10:25am On Mar 07
Hi guys.
I have two questions please:
1. I want to get a 550-600W solar panel, which would be giving about 15A. My issue is the cost the wire I'd need for it as the price of the DC cables quoted are killing and the distance from panel to house is about 30m. What wire alternatives do you suggest?

2. Also jinko panels seem to be recommended on this thread in comparison to longi which I thought is a more superior brand. I have the quote of a 615w longi for about 120k from someone in arena, whereas, jinko is more expensive for same rating. Why is this so? Any ideas?

Sorry for the epistle and thanks in advance for your input.

My bro, you say kindly? Lolz...if I like make I no do am.

On a serious note, I have done some research, I am not saying cworth is great, but from the capacity tests (usually for smaller capacity batteries) I've seen, it has done slightly better than felicity.

Please if you have evidence to dispute this based on your own research, kindly share.
Thank you

I use Felicity in my business and have real-world experience across multiple models: the 5 kVA (4/5) in the past, the 8 kVA (3/5), and their newer 12 kVA (5/5). The 5 kVA unit is actually sufficient and performs well for the average household.

My ratings are based on continuous commercial use—about 9 hours per day, 6 days a week, 50 weeks a year, at roughly 75% load and 3x over panelling , which comes out to ~2,700 operating hours per year. I run very high load consistently so i doubt most home users will run their inverters that high.

One of the most important factors when buying any inverter or battery is having a nearby service center. I learned this the hard way with PowMr (No service centre in Nigeria)

No matter what brand you choose, make sure there’s a service center close to you. You’ll likely need it by year 2 or 3 of operation.
I have 2 5kv at a felicity service centre now. this is after 20 months of use.. I have not used Deye but looking at their specs sheet and build quality, it will be amazing. You have to understand, Nigerians are very price sensitive so companies have to build around what nigerians can afford.
Thanks your response, I wanted to go for Felicity products too, but based on some research, I learn that their batteries do not give out the full capacity as stated on rating.

It appears c worth is doing well in that regard. And as for service centers, I browsed and saw cworth have one in lekki.

Do you have any experience using the product?

Felicity has offices in lagos. I know one around Apple Junction at Ago Palce way, Okota area. if you could use google, should be able to locate if they've got offices in Ibadan or those with such knowledge could share.

Also Felicity ain't really high quality BUT they are at least average enough + have lots of physical presence in the country. Felicity is like HP in computers - they are everyWhere hence repairs and parts readily available. Also with your budget, except going for used Inverters, a quality brand new inverter would gulp a large portion of that your big small budget.

As for the person(s) who might have said or suggested "Cworth" , "SMS" as being more superior to Felicity, I don't wanna outrightly say they're mistaken since personally I haven't used them BUT have installed Cworth for a couple of clients BUT persoanlly, wouldn't recommend either of them.

As for SuKam, they are powerful but a lot of them, especially the older versions ain't as efficient as most of the new versions of felicities you buy in their offices. Don't be mistaken, SuKam is a powerHorse BUT the old versions dey chop battery. Just be aware of that especially buying used inverters. Mind you, there are lots of fake suKam inverters also. in fact seems they have stopped manufacturing them not sure but there was a time I heard something around those lines.

As for the likes of Deye inverters, except opportuned to see a cheap good one, don't forget your budget is just a small Big number.
Hi, why would you not recommend cworth?
I am looking at getting the battery and inverter now, so I'd like to know your reservations.

Maybe it is just prejudice on my part but l wont buy anything Electrical/Electronics from Alaba, even if my Life depends on it.

We see Videos of these guys just STAMPING Logo/Label on all manner of imitation/fake Items, to make it look genuine.
They dont even try to hide it any more, they use Lithography or what is that process of imposing image on T-Shirts and Banners, very easy.
The most recent Video l saw, was these guys "branding" some shyte TV with LG Logo, from the Packaging Box, to the TV itself.
It is a recent thing though, because l remember my my brother and i going along with my Mum, to the same Alaba, to buy a Black & White 14" TV, in the late 70's and it was a very good TV that served us very well, until this red-eyed, get-rich-quickly mentality destroyed the honest Business they do in that Market, in those days.

Now, if anyone one have the ability to produce anything, whether it is TV or Solar Panels, that is fine, just put your own Logo, Name, Label on it, dont try to use the Branding of others on yours, because it indicates that the producer does not trust his own Product and wants to make money off the Branding of others,

This sort of fakery and imitation, kills innovation and actually exposes Buyers to all manners of danger.
Imagine having to use an imitation Break Pad, imitation Engine Oil, imitation/fake Drugs for a sick Child?
Now, it is imitation Panels that give you 200W, when you think it is 500W!
That can have grave implication for Safety and we should all condemn it, assist Government to stamp it out.

Produce your own Products, put your own name on it and it will be your own GENUINE Product.
Okay, l don vent finish.
Why did you have to quote me to vent your vent na.
I mentioned fouani and you're talking about what goes on in alaba

I think we should all come together and create awareness on social media so piggyvest can refund investors back their money, if it's just the capital.
I am with you on this. That is what I intended to do by creating this post. But apparently it didn't get the traction I'd have liked.

The silence is deafening from Piggyvest, that's why it looks like a scam to me. How do they hold unto people's money for so long and are so relaxed about it? Like the investors have no idea of what is going on with their money. And their defense is that it was subtly mentioned to seek advice before investing. So we are automatically at fault for investing?
At least in the case of MMM, it was clearly stated that you should only invest money you are willing to part ways with. So to me, that wasn't a scam.

So, if you have any suggestions on how to go about this solidarity call...I'm all in.

They said the project is not completed. That's the nature of real estate. With the high price of things now, what do you expect?
It's flats/apartments they want to build and you have to wait until they build and put tenants, then you will receive rental income. That's the business. I knew that would be the case so I backed out. I cannot wait for 5-10 years. That's the nature of real estate. If you can wait, you'll reap profits. But if you cannot, just resell it.
Who said the project is not being completed? I'm asking for the source of your information.

Selling those shares I got has been a hassle.

Piggyvest is like a sub of wema bank na. I don't think it is the money that was invested they should be using to build the estate. They can just lend that third party the money then we start buying into the property based on the estimate. I'm not sure price of things should be a reason why we can't access the money or are not getting a ROI, na our money dem wan carry go market before?

I sent a mail and I this is what I got:

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To clarify, the real estate investment does not have a fixed maturity date but rather a projected return timeline. This is because real estate equity investments continue to appreciate over time until investors start receiving rental income or choose to sell their shares.

Here’s how it works:
Once the project is completed, investors will receive dividends from rental income.
Currently, the property value on the app may seem undervalued, but it still delivers an estimated 20-35% ROI annually.
You can cash out anytime by selling your shares at a higher value to other investors.

How to Sell Your Shares:
Go to your investment dashboard and select the SELL option.
Your sell offer will be visible to potential buyers for 14 days. If it doesn’t sell within that time, you can repost it.
Even if you don’t see your listing, rest assured it remains visible to buyers.
Once a buyer purchases your shares, the funds will be credited immediately to your Flex Naira wallet.

We appreciate your patience and hope this explanation helps.
Thanks for messaging them.
It should have been clearly written that the investment would take years for one to see ROI, not just the up to 35% pa returns they put on the ad.
If one gets dividends or whatever yearly. How come we haven't gotten any?

I have tried selling off the shares I got at discounts so many times, buh no one seems to be buying. That's the most annoying part.

Did you buy shares also?
InvestmentRe: Is Piggyvest Investment Option A Low-key CBEX Type Of Scam? by sofdoc1(op): 7:04pm On May 04, 2025
emekad2:
That is why you are advised to seek financial advise before going into any investment. Piggyvest did not scam you. That's the nature of real estate investments especially where piggyvest is acting as a third party.
Yes, I believe I saw something like that when I was about to purchase the shares. But I felt in the worst case scenario, I would sell the shares at an undervalued rate.

I also thought Piggyvest should have made this process seamless, regardless of whether a third party is involved. People should be able to access their funds even if it's undervalued.

The truth is that no scam would actually appear as one. Look at cbex, organized scam is very difficult to detect. How much do we know piggyvest know about these companies?
Is SEC even aware of these types of investment options on piggyvestt?
