codemaniacs: Nigeria did not let go of Agriculture...
it was the regions that were making money from Agriculture and funding agriculture in their regions..
once regionalism was abolished and oil became more established and the FG now controlled the former regions revenues from agriculture then the regions could no longer fund the agriculture that made them money because the FG started giving them a small percentage of the revenues they were making from agriculture..
if you own a farm and were investing ₦5 billion into the farm yearly then someone comes and takes control of your revenues and that someone starts giving you ₦50 million yearly to invest in your farm won't it affect your farming business...
would you say you have mis-managed your farm? With all due respect it still boils down to mismanagement by the FG who couldn't carry along with them an efficient productive agriculture in a more systematic way that will even yield more. |

codemaniacs: it was less than 6 ethnic nations before 1966..
After 1966 until crude oil was well established.. it was main wealth from Western Region and Calabar/Akwa-ibom that was shared to over 200 ethnic nations so both the Western Region and Calabar/Akwa-ibom could not use their wealth to spread developments across their regions .
As at when cru:de oil was found in other places... crude oil in Bayelsa, Delta, Rivers, Akwa-ibom, Edo, Ondo is shared to every state in Nigeria..
so money meant to develop one state is been used to develop 36 states... I get your point which still resolves around mismanagement. A good manager won't let go of their means which was Agriculture just because they discovered crude oil. |

codemaniacs: After the abolishment of regionalism, the resources meant for about only 6 ethnic nations had to be shared between 200 ethnic nations... so the sharing of the money from 1966 till date is the cause of things been mis-managed and the fact that most of the leaders work for whyte supremacysts who don't want to black people prosper.. Can you put more light to the bolded. Thank you. |

This is how to get back at people who dislike and disrespect you.
Reminds me of how Pep Goadiola treated Eto when he managed Barcelona. He disliked Eto so much but Eto made sure he continued scoring goals left, right and center. He scored the winning goal for Barcelona at the 2009 champions League. Still yet Pep replaced Eto with Zalatan while Eto move to Inter Milan. Eto scored the winning goal against Pep's Barcelona at the 2010 champions League final to give Inter their triple.
Let their bitterness and hatred power your strength to become extraordinarily successful.
In the end the will have no choice than bow in shame, crawl into a cave with their tails between their legs or embrace you with love and total loyalty full of confidence, full of hope without an atom of doubt and skepticism. |

codemaniacs: the major cause of Nigeria's poverty and under-development is the Western institutions that don't want to see any black nation prosper..
It is western influence that made t:inuboooo to devalue the naira which spoilt the purchasing power of every Nigerian.
you guys don't understand their hatred for black people globally especially those in Africa..
india annual budget is ₹48 trillion which is equal to $560 billion ( with a population over 1.4billion people
while Nigeria annual budget is ₦28 trillion which is equal to $36 billion ( with a population of 200million people )..
my point is Western powers claim Nigeria's population is the reason for ₦ Naira's bad currency conversion to the dollar..
but India with a population 7 seven times Nigeria's own is not affected by the same bad currency conversion to the dollar..
if you reduce india annual budget to ₹28 trillion similar to Nigeria ₦28 trillion..
india's ₹28 trillion is still equal to $326 billion...
the Naira is a weapon fashioned against Nigeria and Nigerians by the Western powers. You may have a point but that doesn't disprove the kind of mismanagement of resources over many decades in this country by privileged individuals. |

ivandragon: Clowns. Justifying nonsense.
Why did BAT protest against the removal of subsidy in 2012 since that was the right decision?
Why did BAT protest against pms at N145 after subsidy removal in 2012 but is proud today that pms sells at N1000?
Why did BAT say the exchange rate of N217:$1 in 2014 was too high but is proud of the rate at N1600:$1 today?
Why did BAT promise to bring down the exchange rate to N300:$1 but his sycophants now want Nigerians to believe N1600 is a 'good' rate?
BAT has never had the interest of Nigeria at heart, but his own selfish agenda.
Imagine him romancing chaugory, abacha's bagman and confidante. That just shows that even his nadeco agitations was all smoke and mirrors. That is what Kalu is saying. Tinubu is a man of steel while Kalu would have behaved like Jonathan. 😂😂😂😂😁😁😁 |

nairalanda1: Indigenisation or not, we were always going to be underdeveloped, because the basis of our economy was resource dependency, not exporting industrial products.
As for mission schools hospitals, etc, government took over too many schools and hospitals, and built too many more. The education budget has not been able to cope since then. Result..mess. Resource dependency or not the basis of our underdevelopment lies in mismanagement. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: "French Troops To Leave Ivory Coast" - President Alassane Ouattara. by Softmirror: 1:16pm On Jan 03, 2025 |
nairalanda1: Outside Abidjan, most people live like Nigerians self. (except for prolly Yamasukoro). Yeah, they have good power supply, but that's because they throughly privatized power, and made every Ivorien pay for power like they were on their equivalent of band A.
Bad roads, poverty, etc.
Never judge a nation by its capital.
And in Abuja and Lagos there are whites, Asians and other foreigners who live and do business in a conducive atmosphere self. You missed the point in my post. The point is, the after effect of the indigenisation degree had a very negative impact on Nigeria. Not just in terms of economy as per industrialization but education, health and so on. Schools being run by Missionaries were taken away, hospitals and so on and so forth which later on became mismanaged. |

Charly68: The case of France and Her colonies is like that of Jacob and Esau . Now that the colonies are bent to take over their territorial rights and liberty ,the master will soon be left in limbo. It is the French colonies that feed their master ,kept their reserve with them and pay interest whenever they want to do any withdrawal from their reserve... This type of relationship is saddistic and egregious . Now that Bokinafaso and other Sahel nations are rejecting the disorder ,France should better wake up to the reality because Putin is ready to their colonies to regain their liberty in full . Theirs is better. Go and do a case study on Nigeria's indigenisation decree of the 70s that is when you will understand when our economy started summersaulting. Abijan, in ivory Coast is another city in Africa where you find a lot of foreigners 'whites' living and doing business in a very conducive atmosphere. A very beautiful city. |
