Hello, the framework has in-built chat support, and on the project website at http://www.phpfreedom.org or http://www.e-supportsystems.com/directory/softandsmart Better still, you could create a Uniform Messenger account and and info@phpfreedom.org as your friend. You could chat with a live support person to get assistance, but as you may know the project is just starting and we do not have many support persons at the moment, in case you would want to help out you may send a mail in. Thank you, and how is it so far? |
Hi all. Is anyone having problems, using the framework, this may be the case as there is no real documentation at the moment, please bear with us on this circumstance. But for now do not hesitate asking any kind of question, even if it is "What is PHP?" Thank you. |
Hello all, PHP Freedom is a Nigerian made rapid web development technology, the project website is developed by the framework, check it out at: http://www.phpfreedom.org E-Support Systems are live online customer support solutions, also made in Nigeria. The service website and the core application are developed with the PHP Freedom Framework, you could also check it out at: http://www.e-supportsystems.com |
This is to inform everyone who cares about P2F that the website of E-Support Systems has been redeveloped with PHP Freedom Framework, you might want to have a look at http://www.e-supportsystems.com Thank you all. |
Thanks again, to be a part of the project please send a mail to info@phpfreedom.org preferably with with a Gmail account, you will the have access to SVN (Subversion Server) for the project at google. Please post the BUGS to http://code.google.com/p/phpfreedom/issues/list so that we'd look at it, together. |
@Dual Core Yeah, I definitely would be glad to have you do, even anything, there is a lot of work to do. My biggest challenge at the moment is the documentation, something that would at least show people the way around the stuff. I was looking at an interactive kind of stuff where questions are asked and while answering there would be more information for other stuffs. Well, let me ask, what is your experience so far? Hope you have not be too disappointed. Thanks. |
God bless you! That is the first real comment gotten. You are absolutely right about the conf stuff, and I need people who have you kind of heart on the project. Thank you. |
@biggjoe Once again, I am sorry for getting you infuriated, it was not unexpected, though. But I wish to say that I felt that this is the best place to reach Nigerian web developers who might be interested in new developments in the Nigerian technology sector. It was meant for information purpose and not to seek for patronage. And again, I wish to say that the project is free and open source. So I would not think it was an advert, and I am not some who likes controversies that is why I apologized, and I hope you would understand and I sincerely hope that the moderator does as well. |
I am sorry to interrupt your blog but I wish to inform you about the new Nigerian made Web Development Framework, PHP Freedom Framework. It is a MVC based framework written in object oriented PHP5. I always like saying that you could develop a full database driven website in 15 minute, please pardon me but it is true. It is flexible and allows developers to imagine more and do much more. I have worked with some frameworks for a few years, this include Zend Framework and Seagull. And lately I have been working with Oracle JDeveloper(ADF etc for JAVA). My favorite framework regardless of the language is ZF. But I always ask my colleagues if these frameworks are what we really needed. We need a framework that would help us understand the reasons for using a framework and the real concepts behind frameworks. PHP Freedom Framework takes you straight to business and will, with time, make you a framework developer. I wish that Nigerian PHP programmers would like to collaborate on this project. |
I wish to introduce you to PHP Freedom Framework. this framework is the fastest know web development framework. You could develop a fully database driven website/application in 15 minutes without writing a code. It's quite flexible and amazing to use. And further more it is made in Nigeria. PHP Freedom Framework is a MVC and object oriented framework. The 100% Nigerian and open source web development technology is targeted at users with nothing more than HTML and CSS knowledge. It is also developed to help this category of people started and running with object oriented programming and MVC concept in any language and from any background. Anyone can set up a 100% database driven website in 15 minutes or less! That is not just a number, but a proven fact. It is by far the fastest RAD framework I have worked with. It also gives experienced developers the freedom to imagine more and , do more. You are, humbly, invited to be a part of this very young project, which a number of Nigerian developers have chosen in place of popular frameworks like Seagull, Zend Framework and CakePHP - Definitely, these frameworks would have more modules and functionality, most of which we really never needed. PHP Freedom Framework is lightweight, well structured and would give you the chance to be a better developer and not just a framework user. Downloads: http://code.google.com/p/phpfreedom/downloads/list Website: http://www.phpfreedom.org Highlights #Object Oriented Programming #MVC Development Pattern #Flexible Display Blocks #Content Management #Generalized and extensible CRUD + Search for all DB tables #No Template Engines - Just Smart PHTMLs #Roles, Resources and Security Management #Multiple in-built Navigation Systems #Live Chat and E-Support #No jargons #Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS & PHP control structures may be useful You are needed on this project to help us identify essential stuffs that we would have naturally overlooked. Thank you. ADEFOKUN Tomiwa Michael, For PHP Freedom Project |
Hi, After $matNo = $_POST['Matric_no'] add ';' i.e $matNo = $_POST['Matric_no']; Cheers |
@royalicon If you have a form with method="post" and an input with name "text_StudentID" use this: $text_StudentID = $_POST['text_StudentID']; else if you have a form with method="get" and an input with name "text_StudentID" use this: $text_StudentID = $_GET['text_StudentID']; Calling $text_StudentID directly will not work when your php ini sets register_globals = Off this is good for security reasons, do not turn it on. Cheers. |
@ruddie Nothing is wrong with the code itself, really. I guess you copied the code from somewhere but somehow you copied the text formats. Try this, it'd work, I have edited it. <?phpIf it did not work, make sure you're pointing to the right database table, and that there are records in the table. Also make sure you have a database "onlineDating" with username "root" and if it requires a password provide it, else leave it as it is. Also make sure that you have the colums "username" and "password" on the "tbl_userlogin" table. Kindly let me know if it worked. |
Hi all, Hope this could charge Nigerian developers to pay more attention to JavaScript. Some feel that the language is less that a programming language, but I think it is equally powerful and is the strength of a creative programmer. Just take a look at a demo I have at: http://softandsmart.com/labs/js/calculator.html The scripts are attached to this post. It describes how you could create several instances of a Calculator object and use them independently in a single browser instance. The demo is entirely written in JavaScript. Cheers. |
Talking about AJAX in Nigeria, like it has finally arived. Check out www.uniformmessenger.com, it is unbelievable. It is a personal contact management tool on the web, developed in Nigeria. It allows keep your contact with you everywhere you go, and you can always chat with your friends no matter their email address, and lot's more. Tell Nigerian what you think about this innovation. |
