Cooking doesn't make him weak. It simply means he is bold enough to challenge this society that has defined roles for us based on our sexes. Men who can cook are sexy! cool
I KNOW! Haha. Dude, and he cooks REALLY nice. Tee hee.

And yes, Smooth, I watch football while he cooks. I'm also on the computer, on the phone, watching a movie, sleeping, while he cooks.

Does that make him weak? Does that make me a man? If so, so be it. Haha! Nice and painless way to change sex.

lets be frank, i know most ladies and i am sure most of you here, have given excuses that a guy was just too weak, that why you wouldnt date him, some of you go as far as wanting to see some macho physical traits too confirm he is a man.

sion, just consider that pic of your future, where men cook, and women sit watching tv, and the women are ruling in almost all facet of life, they pick a man and propose, pay the dowry and even F%*k him, abeg, is that the kind of future you really all want.

lets be careful what we wish for o.
My boyfriend cooks while I watch TV! BLISS!!

Like I said earlier, I prefer a MAN. But it still doesn't mean I'm inferior to men. I'm not saying we're equal either. We've got our differences.

Actually, I'm in the middle.

It's not murder at an early stage!
-sigh- My point exactly. That is why you can't have an abortion after a certain amount of months!

Cooking, doing house chores, sewing are abilities you acquire. Nor be say because u be woman, then you automatically know how to do these things.

Give me examples of natural areas where men are weak, because there are a lot. I'll say this. men are psychologically weak. They are physically strong but aren't so good at enduring!
Easy to manipulate! VERY EASY!

thats why they are men, the are meant to sit on their fat ass, why you do all the chores naaa!haba, be a woman and take it.
>< I don't understand. Why do I do all the chores? I am not a family woman. At least not yet. I'm a student. What should I take? O_o

Why do you keep looking at the issue from this side alone? Why not also consider men's weakness? You make it seem, men are strong enough to be alone: if so, of what help are we and how can we complete them, when they seem to have it all?

Don't be one sided.
Men are weak. Some men don't know how to cook, they don't know how to do family chores, they suck at sewing, yadi yada. They definitely don't have it all, far from that. But I still don't think it's 50 - 50. At least, so far, I haven't seen why it should be balanced.
Romance / Re: The Sexes Are Equal: Not The Same Abilities, But Equal Weight! by Soin: 3:11pm On Jun 30, 2008
michelin89:

The reason why you think men's abilities would weigh more is because by looking around, men seem to be in charge everywhere. Maybe now it's like that but when we also start realizing we can do equal (not the same) great things, we'd also have our own share or achievments.
Exactly! We're talking of the present.  I am not an ', ist'. I always analyse things. Maybe in the future, women will get stronger, as you say. But for now, from what I've noticed at my early age, men outweigh women. I'm not saying it's right. I'm only stating the obvious (for me).

sexist!

see what i am talking about.

you go old, before you will learn.thank god you at least acknowledge you are weak, probably in sense too.

How about calming down and posting something that has got sense? Yeah? What do you mean by 'You go old, before you'll learn'? Are you asking for my age or what? ><

Anyway, not admitting that you're in a certain way weaker than men is ignorant. That's as much as I'll say to you.
Romance / Re: The Sexes Are Equal: Not The Same Abilities, But Equal Weight! by Soin: 3:01pm On Jun 30, 2008
michelin89:

1. If a woman must complete a man, then it's obvious she has something a man doesn't have. Can you still call her an inferior?
2. Yes, on the same level of abilities. If we were to use a scale, it would be 50-50. Nature is balanced.

The same way men are weak in others. A man can't do everything and you know it!
1. Completing someone doesn't scream equality. It doesn't mean you're inferior either. You can bring 30 % to the table. Note that this is only generalizing.

2. I wouldn't call nature balanced. And if we were to use a scale, I'm pretty much sure men are weighing more. Like you stated earlier, just look around. Observe.
Romance / Re: The Sexes Are Equal: Not The Same Abilities, But Equal Weight! by Soin: 2:52pm On Jun 30, 2008
What is civilized about you when you fail to wake up from your stuck up mentality? I created this thread to invite people like you to focus on the general abilities of both sexes and here you are spitting crap. Just because we are naturally weaker, you have come to conclude that we must be subordinate to men. What an arrant nonsense.

If you haven't understood the purpose of this thread, then kindly keep your fingers to yourself.
I definitely want to see where I talked about being subordinate to men. Assuming much? If you invited 'people like me' to this thread, how about some patience and ACTUALLY trying to show me your point rather than opening your mouth and spitting bull? Hmm?

i think the poster was going i the rigth direction before the detour, anyway women have given a new meaning to female rights in present times, they want to be men, act think, talk and llive like them, thats impossible, they ask for too much liberation and power that will keep men under them and make them the bosses, and that in my opinion is wrong, because even god did not design it t hat way,
women should accept that they are weaker and second only to men, that way all things will run smooooooooooothly.
I don't think we're second to men. Definitely not. This is quite a touchy subject. Hard to bring it down to writing. >< Anyway, I am not and will never be under any man. But I openly admit that we're weaker in most areas and we have to accept it.
Romance / Re: The Sexes Are Equal: Not The Same Abilities, But Equal Weight! by Soin: 2:44pm On Jun 30, 2008
When I say equal I am referring to the weight of their abilities. if it's true that both men and women were created by the same god and that they are both equal before him, I believe that if he has gifted man with an ability he must have gifted the woman with another one, as important as that given to the man, to complement.

That's what I understand by equality. But I am not a xtian but I do have eyes to observe around. And what I have seen is that as much as we try to deny it men and women are different, they aren't the same (typical mistake: being the same is very different from being equal).
I didn't see this. Either you edited, either I skipped it.

If you want to take this religiously, I don't think God created male and female as equals. He created the woman to complete the man. It's somewhere in the Bible. We're equal in the eyes of God ,  I see that as we'll be judged equally. But on human terms, it's the complete opposite.

Equality to me means 'on the same level'. Fine, men (at a certain age) are less mature than women of the same age. Or we comprehend issues easily or tic tac. I can understand that. But it doesn't necessarily mean we're equal. We complement eachother on some levels but we're completely different, ability wise or whatever wise.
Romance / Re: The Sexes Are Equal: Not The Same Abilities, But Equal Weight! by Soin: 2:31pm On Jun 30, 2008
I hope you are just playing dumb. Does your being weaker physically mean you are inferior?

If you still spit this shit, then it's obvious you haven't undertood a fu-ck of what I have been writing so far. Gosh! I hate dummies like you. Get out of this thread immediately!

How's that civilized? O_o

Seun:

Men are bigger, but some women are bigger than most men.

Some men have bigger boobs than most women.

Inequality is not a danger; it's a basic fact of life. No two men are equal.

The real danger is not allowing a man or a woman to achieve what he or she are capable of achieving just because they are men or just because they are women. Whether the victims are men or women, the result is the same - people die without reaching the levels they ought to have reached in life. it's sad.

but ive seen female labourers enough times.

Why would i even want to do hard labour!
Admitting is already a step. Women and men AREN'T equal. I'm sorry to say. I don't believe in the man being the 'head of the family' bullcrap. But I'd rather a husband who's a man, who takes action. Who has autority.

Dumb bleeps won't admit it and keep going around spitting crap about both sexes' equality. Keep bullshitting.

@michelin89: Don't get it twisted. A friend of mine confided in me: When she was about to get hers done. . . an ultrasound was done (I'm sure u know what that is). There and then she decided not to go through with it. But then the considered her options and the consequences of her decision.
She then went a got it done. She cried for months (iMean Months). If not that she knew me and knew the kind of person I was she wouldn't have told me. It goes to show you the extent of how she felt she did wrong and how she hurt. Its all a matter of conscience tho. But then its not just a bunch of cells
It's your friend's fault if she's going through pain. Before aborting, think. I don't feel exactly sorry for her.

StephenP:

therefore you feel justified disrespecting the other Nairalanders who believe in God?
You're daft. You want to talk about disrespect?

Persona82:

I scanned through all the posts and I don't see any thing about the doctor's who perform the "surgery". My sibling worked as an intern in a Hospital (a very good one at that) and he told me that no day passes that at least 10 girls don't come for registration or to perform the process.

Ok now I know that this thing cost at least 15k. That kind of money is not beans especially for the kind of people that come for this process. They are mainly students.

So If you want to accuse the girl of being a murderer what about the doctors, are they not accomplices; accomplices of probably over a 1000 people. Think of that.

Last week A couple were murdered in cold bold in front of their 6year old kid. And another 7month old baby. I'm almost sure that if those people turn to God for forgiveness, truthfully and sincerely they would be forgiven. I myself would want for them to have the most gruesome and painful death imaginable.

Its not what you think. This thread is not realistic. Maybe it sensitizes the one to the issue but not in the best of ways.

There's a parable in Bini that says you can grow big (or scattered) teeth as much as you want but ensure you have Big lips to cover them.

The Priest in my church says that if God decided that we all walk around with a daily sins written on a scroll and worn on us as a dress then his sure that 98% of us will remain indoors. What I'm trying to say is don't judge. Do you actually think that the gals doing this are happy to do it?. . . Before my post becomes to long let me stop.
-claps- Nice post!!

StephenP:

so how does that relate to God and the name calling?
Notice how I said 'Your'. And I'm not a believer either. A God who killed a whole population and who claims to be selfish should find it in his kind kind heart to forgive murderers, seeing as they're in the same boat.

I am opposed to over religious people. Not Christians. ^^

Ok Soin, we get it. You're an atheist. Still, can you please show some respect to the others who believe and worship God? Please?
LOL! I'm not an atheist. I believe that people have re written the bible and have changed its meaning.

If they had been aborted at an early stage, they would not "feel" anything about anything.

Exactly.

noetic:

that way they have been denied a right to live. to a future and a destiny.
put yourself in that scenario, that way there would have been no NAIRALAND

seun, abortion is unjustifiable.
That motherfucker Hitler should have been aborted. NOT ALL CHILDREN ARE PRODUCTIVE. How about a teenager who gets pregnant, gives birth and kills the baby? Why not abort it right away? What is with all these pressure on women?
I'm noticing how pushing stick up in asses has become a trend.

Cayon:

TOSH!! If abotion is not murder then what the hell is it? Our God made it clear "Thou shall not kill" Get well soon!!

Yeah. So? Your God was the one who Killed people in Sodom and whatever 'rah. How justifiable is that? So what if they were homosexuals? I'm sure there were kids in that city too. But your dearest lord was 'irritated'. Bullshit. Again, your God must be a bitch.

alexleo:

I will pay my tithe. ho ha. There is no way my relative will die because i paid God his due rather than take care of him. Is it not God that owns life? Surely, he will, for the sake of my choosing him first, heal my relative and even if my relative dies, then it means his time is up. I will always choose God first. Period. The best way to pay your tithe is to pay it first before making use of the remaining. Thats how i do mine. I keep it safe until when i go to church on sunday or mid week service. For me it is always GOD FIRST, then me second.
ORLY?

Now you're telling your God what to do. What else? Why not command him then? Can't wait to see you guys in hell. We're gonna have wicked funnn [/sarcasm]
I'm hoping this happens to you. But don't worry, there's NO WAY God will let your relative die. Come testify on Nairaland after the event!
Religion / Re: Pay Your Tithe Or Save A Relative's Life? by Soin: 11:24am On Jun 30, 2008
LMAO! Murderers! Have fun killing your relatives. Do you think God gives two hoots about what you give? I'm sure it's more like how you give it. And why does your tithe have to be monetary? So many of you have re written the bible and have spoilt it. You guys wonder why most unbelievers think Christians are fucking nut jobs. Keep proving me right.
Family / Re: Is Abortion The Same As Murder? Is Abortion Forgivable? by Soin: 10:58am On Jun 30, 2008
I haven't read so many ridiculous posts as I just did right now. I wonder how abortion equals murder. One cannot abort after a certain amount of weeks. Until then, the fetus isn't human.

If your God is so 'forgiving and loving' why the hell can't he forgive abortion? Contradiction much? Damn, God must be a whining bitch.
