ugo4u: This is the sad reality on ground. May God grant them rest. Please take the picture down, b4 mischievous people use it 4 propaganda. Okk sir, u know what happens last SSC C45 NASB when d board secretary was addressing us, that we are going for combatants Role in d Army. That once we r done with d Training we will be deployed to fight insurgency and orher menace, O boy, many guys just give up and start saying I no want do again, some even drop their chest Tag overnight and run away, even from my state 3 guys give up, which is painful cos they have taken other ppls chance and wasted it.. So its just for many here to know what they are going for |

ugo4u: Me think otherwise. It's a privilege to fight and die for your country. How will someone join the army thinking they won't taste action? especially in this trying times. Now posting is on rotational basis(turn by turn) usually 4-5yrs unless such a person has a godfather influencing his posting, but one day na one day, the god father might be sent for a course abroad or retire, that time the person eye go clear.
Some people funny sha! is true sha, is just that Nigerian Government is not ready to compensate you after u laid your soul for others to live peacefully and comfortable, you can imagine some body KIA and within 3 months his Bank account have been frozen, his family will be struggling for his entitlements and been suffering for nothing. So that's just d painful part of fighting and dying in Action, Assuming Nigerian Government will compensate any body who died in Active service a huge sum to his family, cases of cowardice and Desertion will not be happening. So let's just pray for better changes.......... |

OptimistBrain: Is it possible for SSC to reach a general status? Or most SSC stops at Colonel. Oga Reaching Top peak of the military is just about luck, if urs shine mumu-mumu u don dey go till u reach Maj-Gen or Above that, so is all about luck, Just pray for the best. And for those thinking twice about either Dssc go to Battle fields, they should put it in mind that All are trained to fight war from the beginning, so is just a previlege to see your self not going there or you find your self way not to go. I have seen many RC and SSC who never even go NE for one day talkless of to be deployed there. And many DSSC officers paid the supreme price there and many are still there fighting BHTs. May God choose d best for us all... |

intergral: For those of you applying SSC... Hope you know what it means... Your job is to fight war and the war in Nigeria is real... In the North East every month nothing less than 50 soldiers are being killed every month... So if you are applying SSC and you know what it means (Short Service Combatants) and you're determined to die for your country in war then you're good to go... But if you're applying for the sake of the uniform and looking rugged in the eyes of civilians then my advice is forget about it..... SSC screening and training is difficult no doubt.... Just from screening alone you're gonna start having a second thought... As for DSSC it's more of professional work or administrative work.... That doesn't mean you can't fight war ooo, but it is not likely... I wish y'ol the best of luck, I applied for DSSC this year unlike SSC I applied for last year... Before you join anything know what you're getting into... I wish I could secure a good job of 100k+ or even one of the paramilitary like Customs, Civil Defense or Immigration... Which safer for you and me... Disclaimer: I'm not discouraging anybody, am just telling you guys the truth, they will also tell you thesame when you've made the list for the screening.... bitter truth bro......... |

sikowitz17: There is something you guys aren't factoring...according to the 2017 hatcos of the military, I believe promotion to different ranking is now 5 years...for rc, SSC and dssc.. Course 44 guys are still 2nd lieutenants oooo...and its almost been 3 years since they passed out..if they get their promotion now, it should be 5 years interval now...which means majority will be retired as majors.. Upon conversion ehn ehn.. We can now talk lieutenant colonel/colonels...some lucky village men will.make brig.. SSC C44 passed out 2017 September making them 2 years now, and they are to hang Substantive Lt from March 2020 which makes them 2 years 6 months with 2/ Lt. From there it will follows as this Below....

All of you must suffer irrespective of the course, Those at Afaka will nearly die, but they won't die, Even terma1 that will be about three months older than you will chawuz ur skulls. Is that clear?!!!!! . Hmmm. Na wow, wahala go dey for that Afaka, the main thing is that those RC cadets will show mallice to d Collitors as dem dey calls dem....... |

PS: stop thinking about Rank, Promotion, Salary, Conversion, getting juicy positions or even becoming COAS, make the list and get into the system first. Make sure the school you attended is accredited by NUC dont relax because its not Cotonue you went to, their are private Uni in Nigeria that are not recognized, dont even think about forgery, NEVER!!! The Age in your Waec/Neco should tally with that of your BVN, when doing ECG, make sure its not showing abnormal, the moment its shows abormal go to another hospital and re-do again, keep yourself fit, dont worry about 3.2 race, its no criteria for disqualification...but stay fit, Pass medicals first, Ur blood, Urine, sight, dont be too fat unless you are very tall! So they advised me to stand down and be well for my safety. So I accept it with Gud faith. Is better to be alive and see d next generation than others to see it without u. |
