I've noticed that the Nigerian stock market seems to have picked up over the last week. Does anyone have any information/ explanation as to why this is happening? I'm glad that things are looking up, I'm just curious as to the reason behind the upward trend. Perhaps the market is responding to some news from the govt or elsewhere,

The BBC has published a couple of reports stating that there are more men than women in Nigeria.


Quote: "The 2006 census, recording a population of 140m, suggests there are 3.5m more men than women. "


So where do people always assume and say that there are more women than men

I would understand if my email address was visible to users but its 'hidden' on my profile, 

Has anyone experienced an increase in the no of 419 emails received recently? I recently joined Nairaland. Before then I had no contact with any nigerian websites. There has been a notable no of 419 emails sent to my personal mailbox - at least 5 a week. Has anyone had a similar experience? Not meaning to cast aspersions on Nairaland, I just don't understand where they've all suddenly come from and I'm trying to get to the bottom of the problem. (I have no links with any other nigerian websites)
