Super Falcons star Rinsola Babajide has disclosed that she’s a fan of Nigerian music stars Kizz Daniel, Davido, Asake, and Olamide.

Babjide, who was an integral part of the Super Falcons squad that won the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title in Morocco, told 49th Street that she listens to lots of Afrobeats music.

“I like to listen to Kizz Daniel, Davido, Asake, Olamide… pretty much all of them.

Referencing her pre-match playlist, the Super Falcons star expressed her fondness for love songs to calm her emotions while the upbeat, fast-paced songs get her all pumped up and roaring to go on match days.

“Yeah, I’ve got a bit of everything, even match day and stuff. I love listening to a mix of love songs and upbeat vibes. It’s the perfect match day combination to feel all the feels.”

The Africa Cup of Nations schedule is a major reason why Manchester United did not try to sign Victor Osimhen, according to the club’s former first-team coach Benni McCarthy.

Nigeria striker Osimhen attracted attention from Europe’s elite sides after scoring 26 league goals in 2022-23 to help fire Napoli to a first Italian title in 33 years.

“If you spend £100m on a player, you don’t want to lose him for Afcon,” McCarthy, South Africa legend, told Newsday on the BBC World Service.

“I think he would have been very successful there. But it [Afcon] was a big stumbling block.

“Losing him for so many important matches, the team suffers not having the main striker there.

“So the decision was made. Literally [a] big part was because of the Afcon and Victor Osimhen’s name got scratched off – not a player of interest because of that.”

Victor Osimhen has warned his Galatasaray teammates they must play a perfect game to get the better of Juventus in their UEFA Champions League clash, Completesports.com reports.

Galatasaray and Juventus are battling for a place in the Round of 16.

The first leg of the playoff tie will hold at the RAMS Park tonight.

Galatasaray will travel to Turin for the reverse fixture next week Wednesday.

Osimhen Ready For Juventus Test

The Nigeria international believed facing Juventus will be an exciting challenge, and insisted that they must avoid errors in the game.

“We are trying to grow on the international stage, we have signed other high-level players, and we want to achieve good result in the Champions League,” Osimhen told Gazetta dello Sport.

“We are a well known club in Turkey, but now we want to make our mark in Europe as well.Facing a top level club like Juventus will be exciting.

“We know we can’t afford to be distracted because every mistake against them can be very costly . And I will be facing Spalletti again.”
