Icecomrade:

The Last time i checked ardent Buhari supporters told me the economic hardship will go away as soon as the budget is passed. I requested for concise changes to expect, as usual they get give any. All they can offer is to keep faith foolishly in Buhari

The budget passage has come and gone.

Am still waiting for something to show that Buhari has capacity to rule this country.

What I see daily in his economic policies is a man ignorantly driving the populace of this country to abject poverty.
The naira will never be as strong as it can be so long as naija relies on oil as its most valuable export.. global valuation of currency depends directly on the strength of a country's wealth.. Naija's wealth is weak and getting weaker because its major export (petroleum) is economically volatile.. Foreign companies are actively finding alternative sources while naija lacks the leadership to expand its economy... Best thing Buhari can do is put money into education (especially science and engineering education) and infrastructure(improved roads, bridges, water systems).

Naija needs to focus on internal development (manufacturing) or there will never be sustained economic growth... Continued short-term suffering is unavoidable at this point but much longer-term suffering is still very very much avoidable.

this is far better than the man (Alhaji indimi ) who donated 4.2 billion naira to a foreign university ...we just need to start producing things we use in this country..
I could not agree more.. Naija has vast natural resources and instead of politicians focusing on education in science and engineering they just look to fatten their pockets by selling to anglo-countries.. without serious investment in education, without serious investment in learning how to turn our natural resources(cough oil cough) into valuable materials (plastics, textiles, advanced chemicals..), highly valuable exports, naija will just continue to be dependent on foreigners for power, energy and money...

PoliticsRe: MEND breaks silence, tackles ‘Niger Delta Avengers’ - Premium Times by solvayprocess: 2:07am On May 23, 2016
As a naija-born american I definitely sympathize with MEND.. the govt and crooked politicians don't seem to realize anglo companies are just giving naija pieces of fish(petty cash) while actively obstructing us from learning to fish - learning the chemistry and physics used to make our own minerals and resources into power, energy and valuable exports...
