If you have actively used your hp6735s close to 3months and still working,do yourself this good to keep it going.If you are sure enough to uncouple this system,loose out the motherboard from the carcase,remove its heat-sink,check the coolant pad on its graphics chip,IF TOTALLY FLAT AND YOU CAN SEE THE GRAPHIC CHIP CORE DIRECTLY[due to heat],replace the bad coolant pad and you have successfully extended your system life-span.Couple the system back and on you go!!!.It is one of my controls on the system,Cheers,

Sincere friends who had met with me and got convinced based on this post,could you just testify?   

@ chux76 the INVIDIA graphics chip on dv2000 is complex so,difficult to fix but if you have not worked on the board before,a reflow can be done on the chip but if otherwise just change the motherboard.Moreover by experience,Intel boards VGA error hardly respond to repairs except if handled by a more technical person.Cheers.

Your system has got a VGA problem.If its a AMD system you might be lucky to get solution but this depends on the level of the VGA error.A reflow of the graphic chip might just work out fine.
Secondly about the excessive hotness,i hope the cooling fan is running well enough and coolant paste is applied to your processor? if so,then its a more technical error needing technical attempt.

It is important you know that the functionality and longevity of electronics largely depends on the stability of its power supply.The same goes for laptops so,be sure your laptop power-pack supply is stable.DO NOT PLUG IT TO THE SMALL GEN-SETS ALL AROUND,they are prone to irregular power supply when they are ageing.
A wrong power-pack(even when rated output voltage is marked as same with the original) is also likely to damage your system.In most cases,original power-packs that comes with systems are light-weight.Systems such as dv3,dv4,dv7,hp pro book,e.t.c. have low tolerance for irregular power supply.

@ Hrh igwe C let me first ask you if you had a likely choice;then i would be able to guide you on your choice;on the benefits, likely faults it may develop and solutions presently available.Cheers.

When next you are to make a choice of purchasing a laptop with economic consideration in terms of repairable or easily replaceable motherboard,certain common systems with attractive outlook but fragile inside should be out of your choice.I am giving this expert advise based on my wealth of daily experience in this aspect as a chip-level motherboard(PCB)expert.

I kept wandering why Nigerians don't just like to talk and give rightful and hopeful expression to the future of our "inventive technolog".I mean to say our present and future economic liberty will be nothing short of our tangible investment in formulating "our own"modality of science and  technological terrain to move ahead with as,this has always been the case of any advancing nation of the world.
But look around us;all you see is everybody wanting to sing,dance,act,present programme or play football.Funny enough at all cost.To worsen the matter,big coporations are even the sponsors just to keep the people especially the youth perpetually mentally bankrupt.I know that there are few numbers of seminars going on but more is still needed to be done.Even our school curriculum must be re framed to suit more of science and technology.Too much grammar is not needed to be creative and inventive.Remember; to have a say in the community of nations is as a result of ones economic power so,let's be technologically minded.It is paying off for me in my little life so i know what i am talking about.

when laptop's screen displays images faintly how could this be resolved?any idea guys?
