When Israelis returned after the Briitish Empire conquered the Ottoman Empire, they found that their had been taken over completely. The British created a small patch for Israelis to settle and in 1948 withdraw from the land.

When the British left, Israelis declared State of Israel on their own patch of land refusing to use the name Palestine and instead of the Arabian invaders to declare their own patch of land as State of Palestine, they went to war against Israel with their Arab League brothers and Israel won, taking part of Palestinian portion and refusing to relinguish them.

Remember that Palestinian portion was originally Israeli land before Romans conquered Israel and renamed the land.

Palestinians today are mostly Arabian migrants who settled on ancient Israeli land, and today, they are claiming a land that was more than 2,000 years older than Mohammed.
