huptin: This false information has been allowed to linger for too long. It wasn't Obasanjo that ceded Bakassi for the sake of Christ. He wasnt the one who offered the land to Cameroon during the civil war, it was Gowon. He wasnt even the one who took the case to the world court, it was Abacha. The judgement was delivered during his tenure, and he initially was reluctant to cede it. He eventually set up a committe to implement the judgement, but the committee did not conclude its assignment before the expiration of Obasanjo's administration. It was Yar'adua that eventually handed Bakassi to Cameroon.
