goshen360: @ i_DO, Tenkobe, musKeeto, 9icelag, dagboss, Hustle, RealTruth, Lecanno, Cautious, Sovpounds, saxywale, felifeli, debrief08, hercules07, numo86, Tunjman, karpenter YOU ARE ALL BLESSED NOT ONLY WITH TRUTH AND REVELATION OF GOD'S WORD BUT ALSO WITH THE MIND OF CHRIST. And to our other christian brothers and sisters who doesn't share same view with us, YOU ARE ALL BLESSED TOO.
I will like to point out here that none of the people mentioned above including me are anti-Christ nor are we anti church as church is Christ's institution and place of worship to the Most High God who had redeemed our sinful nature through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ; but we are anti-religion(True religion to God does not neglect the poor, orphans, those who are hungry, judgment and love as Christ loved us) and religious people who, having the form of godliness but denying the power thereof and obviously thinks that when we give our lives to Christ, that we lost our minds, thinking God will descend down to come solve the problems we can solve by ourselves. Americans developed America and so other developed countries. We share the light of the biblical truth. When the word of God says: Romans 12:2: Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will (New International Version), it’s talking about the same thing in Philippians 2:5, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. It's talking about attitudes and same character as if it were Jesus Christ. We can read other translations for more understand. I HOPE WE START BIBLICAL STUDY OF TRUTH HERE ON NAIRALAND SOON SO AS TO LIBERATE THE MINDS OF OUR FELLOW CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN LOVE.
I just read what Adeboye himself said: I quote and amplify
http://www.thenationonlineng.net/2011/index.php/news/29721-adeboye-urges-nigerians-to-seek-god%E2%80%99s-face.html
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. It is amazing that the so called God’s people (religious people) are the same wicked people in wicked ways and activities. God respects His word and principles, not persons. He loved us as sinners but hate our sins and wickedness that has plagued our land Nigeria.
Now in the light of Adeboye’s word, I guess we should question or will love to start reading about Redeemed Christian Church of God and other big churches in Nigeria taking responsibilities along side with the government. They should also start sacrificing for the orphans, poor, unemployed rather than flying in private jets and also taking responsibilities to participate in moving our dear country forward rather than all this yearly gathering and noise, am not condemning these gatherings, they are good as I also attend here in United States where I reside. But we should also start to see actions as to how their large congregation contributes to national development. Religious people obviously thinks that when we give our lives to Christ, that we lost our minds, thinking God will descend down to come solve the problems we can solve by ourselves. Americans developed America and so other developed countries. God will help those who help themselves, meaning we all, including these churches and so called men of God have to take responsibilities, sacrifice, work hard and think right as the preacher (Adeboye) had said. Thanks for declaring me as BLESSED. |

musKeeto: All nicely said.
BE CAREFUL: Even drug dealers help their community. That's why on the 1st page I said we should ignore the private jets and poor people. There will always be poor people.
You claim to be close to the leadership of the RCCG. I'm a member of the finance department in my local parish(RCCG). I would like you to state openly on this thread how money goes from a local parish in a remote village all the way to the national secretariat: how much percentage of tithes is submitted, money from the different fellowships etc. If you are what you claim to be, you should be privy to such information.
The focus of most my posts here has been on improving human's ability to think and solve problems on their own. After God created Adam, it was his job to name the animals. Would we in the name of miracles throw research down the drain? Would we in the name of financial breakthrough become sluggards? musKeeto is still on this thread after more than 15 hours!!!!! Have you contributed on any other thread besides this?? |

REAL TRUTH: RCCG as it is presently constituted and operated is nothing but a joke,,,,pay attention very deeply, get involve with them,,,you noticed the inconsistencies,,,,The church actually started well,,,,but in the last 20years,,,,it has lost its values,,, There is no church on earth where all the members would go to Heaven. Every church is made up of the good, the bad and the ugly. |

st Corinthains 5 9-13: I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister[c] but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you Read your bible well my friend. The Bible clearly tells us to Judge one another so that the body of Christ can be clean, it only says we shouldnt judge outsiders we shopuld let God Judge them. It also states we should publiclly rebuke Church elders and Pastors who do wrong so others can learn> Why are yoou crying about being insulted, you are nthe one that started with silly curses I love the word of God. musKeeto: Haha, lmao.
Let the Lord be the judge of every man.
Do you believe in courts? Are they biblical?
Why didn't you say the Lord bless me too? Why only Sovpounds? Have you subconsciously JUDGED me to be an enemy of the TRUTH? I'd advise you to study Jesus' life and see how he went against the norm and practises of the Saducees and Pharisees of those days. Look at their reactions whenever he hit them and see if they do not mirror what most of our churches preach and do today.
Read the sermon on the mount, the parable of the Good Samaritan, and tell me you'd not be able to discern/judge.
I judge everyday and I'm not ashamed. What I do not do is condemn. If I open my home and find a stranger in it, I'd label him a thief without even thinking twice. If I find something wrong in my sibling, I tell him straight up how I feel and work with him to help him overcome. This idea of 'not judging' fosters a dangerous environment: one in which the truth is hushed no matter how glaring in the hope of going against the Most High May the Lord of Hosts bless musKeeto and the other 827,066 nairalanders (wow the number of nairalanders has increased from 827,032 to 827,067) May the Lord of Hosts bless the work of your hands. Let the Lord be the judge of every man, no man is in a position to judge the other. I have realised one thing, the wisdom of God is foolishness to man. Thank you. musKeeto: This is one issue I have with this title 'man of God'. If Adeboye is a man of God, what does that make everyone else? Men of the devil?
If you believe in the Bible, you ought to know that we are all children of God. Even if I were to go by your 'title', he is first a MAN before he is a MAN of God. No man, no matter how righteous, is above mistakes and fallacies. NO man is perfect.
Everything that's going on in Nigerian churches today is called 'Hero' worship. The billboards, the guards, the megastar status, the untouchablility, the devotees, even drugdealers and politicians can't help but to be impressed. I agree with you, no man is above mistakes and no man on earth is perfect. |

GenBuhari: Which Head of State devalued Naira by over 2000% (two thousand percent)? And in the process plunged the Nigerian masses into poverty almost overnight. In you other post https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-823498.0.htmlyou claimed Gen Abacha pegged the naira at 22 to a dollar through out his tenure. You conveniently left out that the naira was going for 85 to a dollar in the black market. Importers and manufacturers and the common man were buying dollars at 85 to a dollar, only government cronies were buying at 22 to the dollar. It is no secret that these government cronies after buying at 22 to the dollar engaged in round tripping and selling in the black market at 85 thereby making a huge profit over night. You conveniently left this out of that post. I believe you have been paid by someone and you are acting out a script or you are acting out this script hoping to be recognised and paid by someone for your efforts. In a way you have tried because that weird thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-823498.0.html is now on the nairaland homepage. How much were you paid ?? |

Personally I believe Pastor E. A. Adeboye is a man of God. Anybody who believes he is not a man of God or he is fraudulent is entitled to his or her opinion.
I am so happy that is not what we think about Pastor E. A. Adeboye that matters but what God thinks of him. Let me make this clear I do not know what God thinks of him or of anybody, it is God that knows. Even if I believe Pastor Adeboye or any other person for that matter is a man of God but God thinks otherwise it is God's opinion that matters. Even if the 827,032 members (as at this morning) of nairaland believe Pastor Adeboye or any other individual is fake but God thinks otherwise it is God's opinion that would stand.
I take solace in 2 verses from the bible.
Romans 3:4 says "Let God be true, but every man a liar" (meaning it is God's opinion on any man that matters not my opinion or the opinion of the other 827,031 nairalanders)
2 Timothy 2: 19 says "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity". (confirming that it is God's opinion that matters not my opinion not the opinion of the other 827,031 nairalanders not the opinion of the estimated 7 billion people on earth) |

realvenc: My company (a small IT Firm) has a running contract with a Servicing company for support services. Anytime i send in my Invoice for payment for services, i usually add VAT of 5% to the total amount on the invoice. But they will pay me less the VAT and also minus withholding TAX from the Sub Total.
So in essense, they pay me less VAT and Less with holding Tax.
Is this the right thing thing. What am i supposed to do about this.
Your responses will be highly appreciated. Also other related issues with regards to running a small coy like mine can be included.
Thanks maybe the company does not trust you to remit the VAT and the withholding tax to the appropriate authorities so they have decided to do it themselves. its still wrong. |
