It looked like what I've been seeing in movies but this was real, so touching. Some of these cops have no heart, I thought there are tests dey undergo regularly to keep all these psychopathic behaviours in check?
You can't feel safe where some cops are always trying to pin you down.

I saw that video and had a lot going in my mind. In this 21st century, the cops blood is really hot o. Here in a reserved place, the cops blood is cool.
See all the energy he was expending restraining that man, Irishman dont have that to waste. They wont even touch you sef, talk of the additional social distancing that covid brought.
I saw in the news that an officer that was spat on I think in the UK died from the virus, I was really sad. Let anyone try to spit on a Nigerian police or American police. The officer will drop his badge and settle it man to man.

Gist kwa, all the one I'm dropping ko.

Firing is just the first step, I hope. They will most likely face criminal charges (likely both state and federal), and after that civil damages law suits. If they are convicted, they will likely face persecution from the prison population during their entire stay and may have to be in solitary. The system works great when it does, but this nonsense has got to stop.
I hope so

What happened to George Floyd was not just outrageous and inexcusable, it was also illegal as per police procedure. I am glad there is a legal system in place to bring justice to the situation, but this doesn't bring George back. For him, the damage is irreparable. It is appalling that some members of the police force in the US think they can get away with anything, but we thank God that cell phones have brought a lot of injustice to light. I hate to say this, but the current political climate is one reason why a lot of these brazen attacks on minorities is happening now.
But then the murderers were "fired"
That ain't justice, they deserve to rot in jail. But it still won't bring George back.
It's just traumatizing aswear, haven't been able to get it out of my mind. Every time I close my eyes it just keep replaying. RIP to the poor guy
TravelRe: Adventure In Ireland by Sparrow0: 1:36pm On May 28, 2020
I watched a video last night on world star hip-hop where some police men murdered a black man in cold blood in Minneapolis only to scroll down and watch a video where a black guy shot another black guy thrice in the chest over a mere argument in a gas station.

Chiggsglover abeg gist me more about Ireland, I've changed my mind.
Raising a family in such place is scary aswear. I've been seeing 'murder videos' but these ones just got to me, probably because of the mood I was in before watching those tormenting videos.

I know there are safe neighbourhoods in the States but....it's just crazy seeing these shits.

Lol. Lemme give you hints on mine.

US isn't on my list.

Canada isn't on my list. They deny 70% of Nigerians students visa, I can't risk it. Same with USA.

Ireland isn't on my list sef. There is no black race dominance over there and the universities tuitions is kinda high.

Germany is on my list because of the high level of employment for their labour force and their free tuition Universities.

But Last Last na France dey my mind. A good number of blacks are there, the employment rate is high, tuition free universities too, not all though. Some Nigerians there are even illegal immigrants and they haven't been deported. And French seems like a cool language to learn. Lastly a good number of Nigerians are business owners there too.
Yeah well that's your personal decisions and choice so...

Lol. Why would an African American hate a Nigerian? Mehn those people are nuts. They have this displaced aggression on almost everything even black women. So I wouldn't blame them if they hate other Africans too.

I've got several African American friends too but they actually love Nigerians and their aggresssion to succeed. If that dude talks about scamming Nigerians, what about African Americans that are drug Lords and kill their brothers for drug money, isn't that crime?

Why is he even bragging about America, please do remind him that his Ancestors were slaves and nothing more. There is nothing to be proud about that.
An African American friend once told me we sold their ancestors out to the whites, that it's all our fault. To say I was pissed when he said that would be an understatement.

Anyways, let's not derail this great threat grin

This isnt easy I must say.
There were things the average Nigerian parents do even to this day that are totally unacceptable here.
Comedians made us love our parents inspite of all of their faults, by making light of it and cracking our ribs with humor.
This is why Trump many sins are overlooked. His humor is out Of THis WORLD. Some of what he says are Blunders but a good laugh mends alot of things.
If an Irishwoman is to listen carefully to what our comedians joke about our parents, she might roll her head and faint.
If ordinary animals will make dem be doing them like the world has come to an end, talk of human beings.
You'll see Nigerian parents that are too religious, they abuse their kids alot. Some will announce fasting when the child speak up for himself, some will call the child all manner of names even to critical issues like disability, normal youthful exuberance and adolescence behavioral change is already witchcraft.

I knew of one church in my area then, they specialize in casting out all manner of demons, from the one with Kleg to the one that walks like hes dancing Soapy. The prophetess as they call her, ministers with strong cane in her hand. She beats kids of 2yrs, youths, adults. Like a full grown man who works for his money might be sleeping while shes preaching and she'll lift up her cane and rain torment on his head. She calls it sleeping demon. You see
Na you carry your leg come meet am, arent you looking for solutions.
You're wondering how I know, it was when I passed covenant university post ume and I didnt get admission they thought my village people don dey eye me.
My mum dragged me there sha, as I was entering I saw this woman flogging demon out of a teenage girl, lump formed in my throat and I swallowed it. Me that like to sit in front of the pew, i made my way to the back. The look I gave the woman was out of disinterest. I thought it was children church till mature men and women poured in.
When she started looking at me to identify my problem, I headed towards the toilet. As if the canes that broke on my body in secondary school is not enough.

Private schools were thought to be easy to get in as long as you can pay the fees. I was never destined to go there.
Given all these abuse we go through, I knew it wasnt normal, when did Paul the Apostle ever used cane?
The only person that used cane was Jesus, at least we know hes the King of kings.
Mehhhhnn you brought back so many memories I locked away
Growing up with an African parents isn't easy, their olden days mindset and beliefs makes it even more complicated.

TBH, I'd say I trained myself. My parents mode of 'training' made me more dumb. I mean how can you be constantly hitting your child, calling him all sorts of names, threatened to end his life? That's more than 'abuse'

Picture that 13y/o boy going through severe abuse by both parents, he's always afraid in public, in the midst of people, he can't speak out or confront people cus he's afraid they'll hit him like his parents do, he's always afraid and shaking.

That was me few years ago. Took me a while to break free and redeem myself, even after I left them. I read books and watch videos, a lot. Smh
I've been able to form this 'shield' to guard myself against my past, gotta raise a happy family and I don't want any of those sh!ts reflecting in my life or family's.

Nigeria is a failed country and really lacking behind. God help us.

Take care man. I realized something, Nigerians who felt like this country get better are finally regretting staying back here.

My elder brother that doesn't even want to migrate, the way I've convinced him ehn. He is beginning to see how badly Nigeria would turn out soon.

Even my pops don already dey reason am too, after my Nysc I don japaa.
Thanks a lot bro

There's so much going wrong in this country and I'm not going to tell anyone to leave or stay, no, I won't tell you what to do with your future. That's a decision only you can/supposed to make. Leaving the country isn't running away as some people claim, it is fighting for a better future.

Chiggslover your explanation always give me life honestly grin
Nigeria as a country we still have a long long way to go!! Still dnt understand why we are called giant of Africa cry
If you see how hw someone i call a friend dey insult my country on whatsapp chat ehh i was almost crying bt was just forming hard with savage reply grin
After COVID-19 has pack her loads we'll pay Chiggsglover a surprise visit grin

As for Nigeria, for some reason I don't regret being born in this country, like this is a training ground for me.
Everything I've been through in this country, from village to Lagos, has made me the strongest guy I know.

Grew up with dad and stepmom in the village in a large family house. Combine all the children and grandchildren together, I was the most stubborn, so you can imagine the kind of hatred I got, like everyone in the family hates me except my siblings and fellow grandchildren. Shit made me stronger but they didn't know.

My dad twice threatened to kill me, the threat didn't get to me but when he said "after all I have other sons", mehn my brain started leaking, I felt numb at that point and he took advantage of it and hit me as much as he could.

If I want to mention the different types of 'punishments' I got ehh you'll think I was a criminal.

On top of that I still love my parents (even if they never brought me up with love), they just did what they thought was right, no one was there to correct them.

Join that with Nigeria's troubles, bad road, bad healthcare, you go waka look for work tire, constant heat, getting frustrated from other frustrated people, going brook, and the government can't even help you, etc etc.... it's enough for someone to think of just ending it all at once.

But then you have to survive to tell the tale right? It's all about survival. I pray my past never reflect in my life so I can give my family a better life.

I've come to a personal conclusion that Nigeria can't get any better for now so I need to get tf out!

Apologies Chiggsglover grin
