We need people like papa Ejima to enlighten Nigerians, The man has just typed the truest statement I've ever read on here for a long time, I just want to add that Yobo, played for Amateur team Mechelin fc as a teenage high school leaver and also played for SSk and bright stars, the last coach was coach Zico amongst other local coaches he trained with but the boy is 30yrs old for real cuz I played with him alongside George Abbey who was only a yr or 2 older than us. I coudn't make it to the top level but I must tell d truth as much as I know. Gideon, Joseph, Edwin and Albert in ascending other were the 4 footballing brothers in Igboukwu street D/line.
Joseph is our best and most reliable and experience defender, what a skipper nxt world cup shud be ok 4 him

Yobo and shittu must continue the pairing after this wc, thot they did okay cuz yu need their experience at d back.
Nigerians are very sporadic in their decisions and very impatient too, We need the core of the team and CONTINUITY IS THE KEY WORD, I trust Lagerback anyways, He knows his job n will never listen to internet coaches, go on SE 2014 n CAN to come

Aguero is my dark horse, However, if we play as a team as Yobo the SE skipper said then we have a chance of limiting them n then we take d few chances we might have,

yak has more goals than the rest on d present team,
yak has scored over q 100 goals in EPL,
Martins has the best goal per game ratio (all time)
Still not aggresive enuf for physical games in mine opinion but seems the most experience n most intelligent forward bar Kanu at d moment but

shocked Re Chidi Nwanu
LOOK AT THIS AGAMA GBA GBA, Chidi what NWANA? YOU ARE THE BIGGEST FOOOOOL IN OUR GENERATION, USELESS WASTE OF SPACE, WHAT DID YOU DO FOR NIGERIA AS A PROFESSIONAL, ANY REASONABLE MAN WOULD READ BETWEEN THE LINE AND GRASP WHAT YOBO IS SAYING, THAT WE DON’T HAVE A TEAM PERIOD, WE NEED A SOUND TACTICIAN TO MOULD THESE BOYS, BTW IT WAS ONLY YOBO THAT WAS BLAMELESS IN THAT DEFENSE-LINE, TAIYE TAIWO? NWANERI? PEOPLE THINK FOOTBALL IS WON BY AN INDIVIDUAL. NIGERIANS ARE BACKWARD IN THEIR THINKING, THE PLAYERS WERE NOT MOTIVATED TO HOLD UNTO THEIR LEAD BY ATTACKING AND SCORING MORE, 1 GOAL LEAD IS NEVER A SAFE ONE ASK CAPELLO. WE HAD NO TRANSITION FROM THE MIDFIELD TO THE ATTACK, THE ONLY GOAL WE SCORED WAS JUS AN INDIVIDUAL BRILLIANCE FROM OBASI. WE HAD POSSESSION BUT DID NOTHING WITH IT, ONLY YOBO WAS A BETTER PLAYER ALONGSIDE OBASI YOU ALL ARE SHORT SIGHTED TO HAVE INTERPRETED WHAT YOBO SAID, TECHNICALLY THESE KING OF GAMES ARE WON FROM THE BENCH AND EGYPT ARE BETTER THAN US FROM THE BENCH. WHO SAYS A PRESSURIZED CENTRAL DEFENDER WOULD BE THE ONE TO TEACH ALL HIS OTHER MATES HOW TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY? EVEN IF HE IS THE CAPTAIN, HE MUST 1ST DO HIS JOB AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS BUT THE BIGGEST MOTIVATION AND CHARGE COMES FROM THE MANAGER BUT UNFORTUNATELY WE ONLY HAVE A CEREMONIAL COACH WHAT A SHAME NFF IS TO BE BLAME POOR ADMINISTRATION AND IGNORANCE FROM THE MASSES IS NIGERIANS GREATEST PROBLEM.

Sports / Re: It's The Fault Of The Fans We Lost: Joseph Yobo by SPARROWJA(m): 4:16pm On Sep 12, 2009
Ya'll need prayers! d guy hasn't said anything to warrant all these unecessary curses. He said at d end of d the day if we fans perhaps wants the team to win mesmerizingly they the players should have been professional enough to put winning first thus its their fault. what is wrong in that statement. u guys are all sick in needs deliverance. Jesus
Sports / Re: It's The Fault Of The Fans We Lost: Joseph Yobo by SPARROWJA(m): 11:43am On Sep 10, 2009
@ TK41? U go night school?? YOBO's stament was not accusing the fans, fans can have their wishes like wlet our team outplay their opponent and win in style while some might jus want d 3 points which is paramount and a collective desire of every Nigerian right. Yes Yobo said some foolish team mates "TRIED" to maneuver and dazzle to please the fans and thus lost possession as if that wasn't enuf they never tracked back to support d defence and its A SHAME HW 2 GROWN PROFESSIONAL DEFENDERS,  TAIWO N ADELEYE were outpaced by 1 tunisian while Yobo was in d middle holding down another tunisian in d last ditch equalizer.
Now you understand the meaning of players trying to play to entertaing and forgetting their primary assignment?? that is the unprofessionalism yobo was on about n then brilla now carve a bold headline saying because yobo meant the fans was to blame for the result and you expect real scholars that heard yobo n grasp his points to castigate the young man?? not me or any reasonable diplomat would do such,  I'm as mad as anyone since 2006 but I WOULD NEVER CRUCIFY 1 MAN especially when he's done little wrong if at all any wrong. PATHETIC,  typical Nigerian. GOD HELP US. IF I HAVE ANY ISSUE WITH ANY PARTY FOR OUR POOR RUN SINCE 94 I WOULD SAY THE NFF.
WAY FORWARD.
Give odegbami n other credible, learned and ex internation the country's forrtbal administration and they'd get d best of manager that has d ability, charisma, will and power to not just chose the best we can offer but also cut them to size n deal with their (players) UNPROFESSIONALISM Yobo noted.
God bless you all as you reason well.
Sparrow. da worthless man in d eyes of GOD
Sports / Re: It's The Fault Of The Fans We Lost: Joseph Yobo by SPARROWJA(m): 3:23pm On Sep 09, 2009
YOBO WAS QUOTED AS SAYING THESE;

“You all want entertaining football but, from where I work and what I know, sometimes you have to be very professional to win the game.

“We tried to satisfy the fans, but it’s our fault that we didn’t take the full points,”
READ BETWEEN THE LINES AND DON'T ALLOW THE MEDIA THAT TURNS EVERYBODY TO BELIEVE WHAT THEY SAY. HARVARD referencing thought me that you should pick up d exact words of the person in question and leave out d prejudicial words of d writer or editor for they are only humans with emotions too, they carve it out wit a mindblowing headline. they think they are som mini GOD. Nigerian Journalism is a big culprit tho its a general issue wit journalism.

I can twist these words of MR Joseph Yobo and form 10 different headlines and peeps would just jump to reaction, I would never to mislead by writer's persuasive preambles but d actual words of d speaker. I like being civil. plz I urge u all to think twice before making decisions for d bible even says such of wise men n prudence goes together but foolishness is opposite n repulsive to it.
Cheers.

its an eye opener for those that tried to play theirselves to d heart of d fans but all fans want is 3 points n I guess YOBO jus explained that in his self explanatory statement.
fans have different wishes I prefare my team to win ugly but some would like an icing on d cake by sayin they should win in style but at d end of d game me n your wishes doesn't count its all about d NATION. the players deserve d blame n YOBO has taken responsibility using d fans as illustration to those his mates that tried to impress them by hanging on d ball n never tracked bck to support d defense. that cost us all d 3 points. YOBO isn't literally blaming us d fans but those professionals that felt so n 4got their jobs PERIOD. READ BTW D LINES GUYS CHAI.
nIGERIANS LIKE TRANSFERRING AGGRESSION SHAA LETS FACE D ISSUE AND LEAVE ALL THESE BASELESS SAYING. SOME HERE ARE JUS HATERS FOR LIFE. ADELEYE, TAIWO, OLOFINJANA, MIKEL AND CHIEF COACH AMODU DESERVES THIS ATTENTION BUT IF U ASK ME, ITS UNNECESSARY

its my GIRLFRIEND'S BIRTHDAY n she's in NIgeria while am in d UK for bout 8 months now she's missin me. What do i give her for this SPECIAL DAY OF HERS??
Sports / Re: It's The Fault Of The Fans We Lost: Joseph Yobo by SPARROWJA(m): 11:26pm On Sep 08, 2009
Incredible hw peeps turn d masses on a player that was outstanding in dat defence line chai naija na  wa,  dis man was already quoted as absolving d blame on his mates' lack of commitment n professionalism which is not tolorated in their clubs he said.
He couldn't have change his point jus like that,  he said that to qualify the fact that he blame d players that tried to impress the typical nigerian fans than likes to see their team play like brazil, including me lol
lets face reality, its d midfielders that were not discipline enuf to return n cover after losing possession to a fast attacking tunisian side. Adeleye's inclusion ahead of shittu was criminal in my opinion n Taiwo doesn't knw his priority, he  cant just defend.
Brila fm and many journos are known for twisting and carvin their headlines from one's coment. Yobo is as fraustrated as any other Nigerian an has the right to be angry and He did his job very well on d pitch. He cant b shouting on professionals when even d coach wo has d power of hire n fire couldn't instruct or caution his lads to order. I am very sad as I havn't recovered frm d shock of missin out on 2006 worldcup,  God help us. lets deal wit d issue and leave d tissue,  Yobo is misunderstood d tissue; Amodu n NFF n some players are not worth their respective positions. bring on sia sia n oliseh  I bet d best of d team would suffice + give Odegbami n Adokiye d NFF to run n we'd all spot d difference, GOD BLESS NIGERIA MY COUNTRY N RAISE REAL MEN THAT LOVES JESUS TO RULE. AMEN
