On the 8th of June, 2017 one of my Facebook friend by the name Muhammad Babandede claiming to be the Comptroller General in Nigeria Immigration Service, chatted me on Facebook, asking me to register in the ongoing Nigeria immigration service recruitment, that he will help me after I might have registered. Me being a job seeker, I complied and went straight to the cafe for registration. After the registration, I chatted with him and he asked me to photocopy my credentials to him through email, he sent me his email and phone number. He told me that I will receive a message in my phone after everything, that he have forwarded my name to the Abuja Specialist. After two days, I received a message in my phone from N.I.S. See the message below:
Dear applicant,this is to notify you that your document has been recieved under the Nigeria immigration service specialist office,head-quarter,abuja.contact the processing officer for more informations on how to process your document:08144413096
I later called the number and the guy that picked the call asked me to pay the sum of #30,000 so that they can register my name under the Abuja Specialist. Scam alert. |
