RealGandalf: Tinubu, Reps Condemn Plateau Massacres, Vow Justice for Victims
Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the House of Representatives have both strongly condemned the recent deadly attacks on communities in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, which claimed several lives and left many homes in ruins, The Bureau Newspaper report.
The coordinated attacks, reportedly carried out by gunmen, affected communities including Ruwi, Hurti, Tadai, Manguna, Dafo, and Josho, resulting in significant loss of lives, displacement of residents, and widespread destruction of properties.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, the people of Plateau State, and Governor Caleb Mutfwang, urging residents of the affected communities to support law enforcement with credible intelligence that could lead to the apprehension of the perpetrators.
In a swift humanitarian response, President Tinubu directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to immediately collaborate with Plateau State authorities to provide relief materials and rehabilitation support to the victims and their communities.
The President further stressed that his administration remains resolute in its commitment to restoring peace and stability across the country, adding that such acts of terror must never be normalized or allowed to continue.
Reps Demand Swift Action Against Killers
Meanwhile, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, also issued a stern condemnation of the attacks, describing them as “senseless and barbaric.”
In a statement released through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, the Speaker lamented the recurring violence in Plateau State and emphasized the urgent need for government intervention to prevent further bloodshed.
He extended the House’s condolences to the affected families and the government of Plateau State, while calling on security agencies to accelerate investigations, arrest the attackers, and ensure they face the full weight of the law.
The Speaker warned that allowing such acts of violence to go unpunished would only embolden criminals and deepen the insecurity crisis across the country.
The joint outcry by the Executive and Legislative arms of government signals a renewed resolve to confront violent extremism and restore normalcy in troubled regions of the country.
As Nigeria grapples with pockets of violence in various states, the nation watches closely to see how swiftly the promises of justice and relief for the victims of the Bokkos massacre will be actualized.

Zlatan is known for making music that connects with the streets. Sometimes, his songs are just for enjoyment, full of energy and dance. Other times, he slows things down and speaks about real-life struggles. “Get Better”, his new song featuring FOLA, is one of those songs that mix motivation with melody. It carries a strong message about hustle, life’s ups and downs, and the hope for a better tomorrow. But despite its deep meaning, the song is still enjoyable, with a smooth beat and catchy delivery that make you want to keep playing it.
Zlatan starts his first rap verse with a heavy message: “Dangote still striking deals Adeleke just buy a new private jet, And you say make my grind reduce? I don see who get before wey no get again”. This part of the song teaches a profound lesson about life. Zlatan is pointing out that even the wealthiest men are still working. Dangote is a billionaire, but he is still making moves. Adeleke, a rich businessman who doubles as Davido's father, just bought a private jet, meaning he still grows his wealth. If people like this are not slowing down, why should Zlatan stop working hard?
The last line is especially powerful. Zlatan reminds us that wealth is not permanent. Some people had money before but lost it all because they chose to stay in that Comfort zone. He has seen people go from rich to poor, so he knows anything can happen. This is why he cannot afford to relax, and he is passing that same message to his listeners. No matter how much you have, life can take a turn if you stop grinding.
This is something many Nigerians can relate to. Everyone wants to make it in life, but Zlatan reminds us that making money is one thing, keeping it is another. If billionaires are still working, nobody should think they have "arrived" and stop putting in the effort. Another essential part of the song is where Zlatan talks about people who leave Nigeria, thinking life will be better. There is a reality check when he sings "No be everyone for UK na him dey okay, 9 to 5 want to make them paralyze.”
Many Nigerians believe that as soon as they leave the country, life will become easy. Zlatan is saying that this is not always true. Not everyone in the UK is doing well. Some people work stressful 9-to-5 jobs that leave them drained, to survive. This is a message to those who think traveling out is the only solution to life’s problems. Zlatan is not saying people should not "Japa" (relocate), but he is clarifying that hard work does not disappear just because you have left Nigeria. Even abroad, you still have to hustle to survive.
What makes Get Better special is that although it talks about real struggles, it does not feel heavy. The production is smooth, blending emotional piano chords with a street-pop rhythm that keeps the song moving. It is not a party track, but it still has that bounce that makes you want to nod your head or move to the beat.
FOLA’s chorus is another highlight of the song. His voice carries both pain and hope when he sings, "I just want things to get better, ko po ko dun pa.” This line is something every Nigerian can understand. Everybody wants life to be better. Nobody wants to suffer. The way FOLA delivers its message makes it even stronger, and you can hear the emotion in his voice. It sounds like a prayer, the thing you say when you are tired of struggling and want a breakthrough. Another influential line in FOLA’s chorus is “Make Lucky Udu no go whine me for old age.” Lucky Udu is a Nigerian videographer and YouTuber who tells the stories of people who used to be successful but fell off for one reason or another. Some were once rich, famous, or great at what they did, but life happened, and now they are struggling.
By mentioning Lucky Udu, FOLA is saying, God, please don’t let me become one of those people who had it all and lost everything. It’s a real fear for many Nigerians—nobody wants to blow today and then fade away tomorrow. At the end of the day, “Get Better” is one of the best songs that has been released in 2025. As the country is rugged and people are complaining, Zlatan and FOLA remind us that life is truly hard, but we cannot stop pushing. It is a song that teaches, inspires, and entertains simultaneously.

GistMedia0: A company driver was unknowingly filmed engaging in intimate activity with a call girl in a company vehicle, which was secretly equipped with a hidden camera. While the driver had no idea that he was being watched, back at the office, other workers were viewing the footage on a monitor, laughing and making fun of him as his private moment was broadcasted for their entertainment
The driver, thinking he was using the company vehicle for personal reasons to "relieve some stress," had no knowledge that the vehicle was fitted with a hidden camera. Meanwhile, in the office, employees—including the manager—gathered around the monitor to watch the intimate footage as it unfolded. The situation quickly became a source of ridicule, with workers laughing and mocking the driver as the video played, unaware that their actions would lead to public outrage.
Legal experts and members of the public are calling for the driver to sue the company for invasion of privacy, arguing that the driver’s intimate actions were recorded without consent. Many are also citing a clear breach of trust, as the company did not inform the driver that there were surveillance cameras in the vehicle.

GistMedia0: A deeply emotional and chilling scene played out during a burial ceremony as a grieving mother made a heartbreaking yet unusual plea to her deceased son. In a viral video that has since stirred conversations online, the mother can be seen placing a knife and a broom inside her son's coffin, issuing a tearful instruction for him to avenge his death from beyond the grave.
Surrounded by mourners and sympathizers, the woman—visibly shattered by the loss—stood over the lifeless body of her son, who laid quietly in his casket. With each word, pain echoed in her voice as she called on his spirit to rise and deal with whoever might be responsible for his untimely passing.
According to the report, the mother strongly believes that her son did not die a natural death and suspects foul play. Her symbolic act—placing the knife and broom—has deep traditional roots in certain African cultures, where such items are believed to aid the spirit in carrying out posthumous justice.

GistMedia0: A photos showing Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Community Engagement, North East Region, distributing water to residents of Bauchi LGA via a tanker has sparked heated reactions.
The community members were seen lining up with buckets to fetch water from the tanker, an act that many Nigerians found troubling. Social media users questioned why the SSA opted for a temporary solution instead of funding a borehole that would provide sustainable access to clean water.
Critics argue that such water distribution methods only highlight the government's failure to provide basic infrastructure. Some residents expressed frustration, saying they need a permanent water supply, not periodic tanker distributions.
