I don't want to say what's on my mind. However, this is double standards coming from Chimamanda who is a self acclaimed feminist. Is she not supposed to be a voice for women being a feminist?. Surrogacy is a form of slavery, prostitution, exploitation of a woman's body. She knew she didn't practice what she preaches, little wonder she didn't come out earlier. Like it or not, accept it or not, any baby born through surrogacy does not belong to you biologically. No matter how some states or countries might legalize it, biologically, the child isn't yours still. Well, I wish her well. But next time, stay one place, if you want to practice feminism, do it with your full chest, otherwise, commot. Reminds me of Linda Ikeji preaching abstinence but lo and behold, aunty was busy jumping on Uber to go and collect. I hate double standards.

YABA, LAGOS – In a significant breakthrough against cult-related violence, operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have confirmed the arrest of six suspected members of the notorious Buccaneers (BAN) confraternity during a targeted operation in the Yaba area on Tuesday morning.

According to preliminary investigations, the cultists—believed to be part of a specialized "Hit Squad"—were intercepted while allegedly en route to launch an attack on rival cult groups in the area. The police recovered dangerous weapons including a pistol, two machetes, and fetish items believed to be charms from the suspects.

Earlier reports on Wednesday indicated that the squad included high-ranking members of the Buccaneers confraternity. It has now been confirmed that among those arrested are the current number 3 in the BAN hierarchy, a former number 2, and four other senior office holders.

Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court Abuja has struck out a N50 billion suit filed by the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, against the Federal Government.

In a ruling yesterday, Justice Ekwo struck out the suit for lack of diligent prosecution. At the hearing, neither Kanu nor the Federal Government was present in court.

Justice Ekwo noted that the case had been adjourned three times due to lack of representation, with the Federal Government’s legal team attending on the last occasion, but no lawyer present for Kanu.
