Business / Re: Lagos To Convert Computer Village, Ikeja To Residential Area by spiralwedge(m): 9:03pm On Feb 21
Good idea. Only Lagos govt is doing the right thing all the time.

I implore the LASG, to however, revoke the CofO of non-indigenous Lagosians and convert it to renewable 10 years lease. The State House of Assembly should enact this asap

Family / Re: Which African Countries Can I Relocate Too With This Current Hardship by spiralwedge(m): 12:24am On Feb 17
Every country is going through hard time. The UK economy, for instance, is in recession.
Fuel in Ghana is about N1500 per litre. Accommodation in Benin Rep, Togo, Ghana and CIV are about twice/thrice of what we pay here and they pay monthly.

Nigeria is still one of the cheapest countries to live in. The Naira has been on a false value because the past administration politically made it so. The naira is presently having its real value and we have no choice but to adapt and adjust.

When the naira and our economy stabilise, we will have a long period of prosperity.

Honestly, America is careless about the safety of its domestic flights. I took a plane from Philadelphia to another part of Philadelphia, and it was prayers throughout. The thing looks terrible; the inside was rickety!

Domestic flights have relaxed regulations.

I dread domestic flights in Nigeria too

I use Lenco. Though not perfect, I like the cashback, and the personalised and approachable customer service either through whatsapp or through their app's intercomm
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Angola: AFCON 2023 Quarter Finals. (1 - 0) On 2nd February 2024 by spiralwedge(m): 9:32am On Jan 28
Please note that Angolans don’t stop at 1 goal. They score at least 3 goals in each match.
If we are to win them, we must utilise well every scoring opportunity. I don’t see why Osimhen and Lookman can’t score a hattrick each in this coming match.

Learn from me. At 6.3 feet, handsome and somewhat feeding well, I could have every woman I want but No! It's about my principles as a man.

After going on trip for business purposes for like a month or two, wife constantly demand for lab test that she don’t trust anyone. What can someone do in this situation. No cheating is involved.

She is a wise woman. If both of you are incapacitated with STDs, who would take care of the kids?

So you want to tell me that after a month or 2 away, you still want it raw? No, nah! If you don’t want to run a lab test, just use CD

Abeg Let Tinubu bring back GEJ "damaged govt" where things were extremely cheap and Nigerians were happy.

8 years after GEJ era, you Tinubu supporters are still blaming GEJ after praising buhari. Now that Tinubu is in charge, the blame game continues. That is to tell you Tinubu is a monumental failure

Lol… this discuss is not for children or for beer parlour banters. You clearly have no idea how things work. grin

I'hv being trying to stop my mum from consuming excess beef in her food including her addiction to indomie, but to no avail she is not gonna stop. She can eat five pieces of beef in a small plate of rice at a time. And she is not the type that use to stress herself or engage in any exercise, too much of indomie and beef is excess fat. How do i advice her as her child?

She needs a lot of protein. Indomie is not usually much, i would have said excess carb/sugar.

Leave her, she’s doing well… except the meats are as big as those massive party meats.

If Nigeria was working, this man would have since been in jail by now. Werèy said a serious government would fixed electricity in 6 months. He was made a Minister, the clown said it is rocket science 🔭 clown

Ignorant af.

If only you knew the extent of damage of GEJ govt. A golden time/chance for this country to move forward, but had a chicken at the helms.

Most of what we are seeing experiencing today stemmed from a lot of useless contracts and mismanagement from that time. These ones are just continuing.

The modus operandi of that ministry before she took over should be questioned. If that is what the hijab-wearing predecessor handed over to her, she should be nabbed too. That woman looted Nigeria dry along with Emefiele during the COVID period.

Family / Re: My Mum Wants Me To Sack My Househelp by spiralwedge(m): 7:13pm On Jan 10
What has her work in your house got to do with her desire to marry? You think it's only househelps that can snatch your husband? What about colleagues, neighbours, clubs, church sisters etc?
If I were your husband, this would be regarded as the highest of all insults. Why then did you marry your man when you would be policing who can be around him?
I'm beginning to think your mother might be a bad influence in your life. What you would have done was to reiterate to your mom that you married a respected man with solid integrity and quickly let your mom out of the house. That way she would get the message. Instead, you let her sow seed of distrust in your home. smh

I'm already sorry for you. Get your mom out of the house and limit her advice to ante-natal and mostly women things.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: My Aunty Wants To Quit Her Job by spiralwedge(m): 2:29pm On Jan 10
Iamjobless:
Pls pardon all errors.

I will try and keep this short, I have an aunty who works with one of the FG parastatals but she is contemplating on resigning. Reasons being:
1) the transport fare takes more than 50% of her monthly earnings as the distance between her house and workplace is far (ikorodu to CMS)
2) due to the distance she does not have the time to take care of her children as she has to leave very early and return late at night.

Ever since she told me, I tried to convince her to just hold on as i strongly believe that the minimum payment will be reviewed soon which will address the issue of salary but she stated that my solution does not address the other challenge of negligence of children.

Please i need advice on what she can do to get to work faster amd return home faster

Also, the husband is a business man that owns a business in the CMS area, I will be in the comments.

They should relocate to Ajah area or Igbon Efon where accommodation is cheaper.

They should look for a temporary accommodation Mon-Fri and go home to Ikorodu if that is their house. And find a family member to take the kids to school.

OR

if the house in Ikorodu is theirs, they can rent everything out and rent a smaller place close to CMS such as Ajah, Ebute Metta, Iwaya, Oworonshoki etc. They can easily have time for the kids as there are good schools in these areas.

She should not quit her job
