Politics / Re: Bola Tinubu Appoints Nurudeen Yusuf As New ADC by spiralwedge(m): 2:31pm On Apr 28, 2023 |
My Gawd. Tinubu knows how to hunt talents. One major reason i voted for him was for this reason. Another reason was for his ability to cast long term visions. A direction. Exactly what this country needs. Another one is to give others platform to thrive, especially younger ones. He puts round pegs in round holes, give you a map and allows you to flourish on your own. So, i see a new dispension of younger Nigerian politicians arising across all tribes. But after Tinubu’s 8 years, Kwankwanso will be next. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Career / Re: I Am Approaching 40 And Am Scared My Dreams Are Not Realistic by spiralwedge(m): 1:59pm On Apr 28, 2023 |
You are experiencing mid-life crisis and this is just the start of it. It will take years before you can come out of it, some don’t (either alive or kpai). To win this, you need to be as realistic as possible all the time. Your post shows you are in the first stage - that is accepting what it is and coming out of childish fantasy about life. You will go through many processes. One of such is truly pursuing what makes you happy by leaving all life’s attachments- sometimes marriage, toxic family & friends, and even career. Environment too. You will assess what you can truly and practically achieve and you will go for it damning the shame that you once wouldn’t consider. You will be more specific about your life choices - partner, friends, nutrition, fun etc. Even your outlook would be more permanent… your facial look, grooming, fashion sense etc. In summary, You are resigning to fate, but you are going for what you are capable of doing to make you happy without minding the consequences any longer. It is at this point you are burying your regrets and leveraging on them to be a better version. 8 Likes 3 Shares |

Politics / Re: May 29 Committee: Tinubu Inherited Igbo Hatred From Buhari – Ohanaeze by spiralwedge(m): 4:40pm On Apr 26, 2023 |
The whole country is igbophobic, even themselves are, that is why they are refugees in their own country. Please, I’m much more concerned about Lagos house of Assembly being more ignophobic in the next house. There should be more igbophobic laws and law enforcers like Kano’s Hizbah police. 4 Likes |

They will get what they deserved. Nobody will give anybody any free food. You want to eat, then work for it, form alliance, respect others. You will then be invited to the table to eat. This how they talk when they lost out. He didnt talk since ooo. See their typical behavioural pattern - play victim card, wail and manipulate. Why would anyone trust any Igbo man in politics, power or governance? Not after what the whole nation has seen in the past few weeks. Nahhh, Tinubu would have disappointed me if he had slotted in an Igbo in his committee. But he is a wise man that i know he is. Just the right man the nation needs to take us forward. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

broadman20: Hahaha you want to educate me who ob!diots are. I wasn’t born yesterday, kid! I know who they are for what they are. I smell their motives from far. Even in my day to day life, i stay far. They are cunning and it appears you are one of the gullible or perhaps, as usual you are one, trying to sell a narrative to me that is different from your real agenda. Ob!diots are !pobs. Simple! They are the wailing wailers who never want any good for this country but disguise that they are fighting a cause. Don’t be a gullible. They are bigoted and primitively tribalist. EndSars was an example of such camouflage. Go to twitter, they are comparing their creatives with others and insulting others, believing they are the best thing. And in case, you don’t know, an average !pob will never vote for a Yoruba unless they don’t have a choice. When it is obvious a Yoruba is going to be a leader, they would do anything to scuttle it. Examples: Awolowo vs Shagari 1979, MKO Abiola’s election annulment, and now. I just saw a video on FB of Ojukwu campaigning for Shagari in the SE in 1979. As in, wow!!!! That’s to tell you how they (maybe you too) are. You knew Awolowo was better to move the country forward, but his people decided to vote the other way to spite Awo in a revengeful mission. Amazingly how they listened to someone who plunged them to war and made them refugees in few years away from then. Smh This revengeful and emotional thing to always support evil if they don’t get what they want is what is still happening now. It is running from generation to generations. I intentionally left out Zik and the military coups of the 1960s. They were also all patterned the same way. So, what Obidient movement are you about to educate me on? Be ware of camouflaged intentions. Be clever. My child, don’t be gullible. 4 Likes 1 Share |

This is where ob!diots are lost. They think politics is christmas gift. It’s a game and you play it. Look at Obi with all the gragra, not knowing that he is shooting himself in the foot. He would have had better chances in the future if he had congratulated Tinubu immediately and then secretly seal a deal with him. But instead as it is common with people from that side, he threw all cautions to the wind and started feeling like he is a messiah. It was obvious the game Tinubu and Kwankwanso played in Kano. It was a masterpiece. Atiku/Obi would have easily won this election. Obi unwittingly even made it even more difficult for Atiku. Kwakwanso will remain in NNPP and spread its tenacle in the 2027 elections. Then after that, he will either move to APC or continue to grow NNPP. Whichever he will be, he will win the 2031 elections winning SW, NC, NE and NW convincingly. SE will continue to lament. He will have a SS or NC as his deputy. He will lose if he romances with SE like Atiku did. SE can never ever be trusted. Everytime they keep reminding us not to trust them. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

It’s not hard to build such. The problem is getting basic things and systems right. Electricity, waste mgt, road mgt, sticking to plans, policing, etc. Why would you build skyscrapers when there is no light to power the lifts and no cranes and helicopters for fire services and rescue missions? And you have such beautiful roads and yet allow ob!diots gala hawkers during traffic who in turn bring out guns to rob you in daylight. Etc etc 5 Likes |

“Expectedly, they fell so terribly for the bait. Being folks of low moral standards, they seem to view everyone from their own depraved universe. Given same position of public trust and authority, I bet they would easily compromise. So, they assume everyone will wallow in the same moral squalor like them.” This sums up the character of Ob!diots and their kinsmen. I am hoping Lagos is using the next 4 years to push them back heavily to their erosive states. Nigerians as a whole now know their character and should be very wary. Let them be far from the top 3 positions and military, esp military. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Forest cobra. Killed a very long one in 2020. Fear overwhelmed me when i saw it. Yes, this snake stands up too and it stood up so tall and was about to reach the top of the fence when i chased it and it hid behind something in the compound. I made several noise at both ends of where it was hiding to confuse it. Then i ran to call some workers working on the road outside. We were lucky the snake was still behind the thing. The men shook the other end while i stayed quiet on the other but ready to strike. Suddenly, it came out fast and i struck it in the middle. It wringled and i struck again on its head. It was very very long with little yellow stripes at the bottom near the head like in the op’s picture. 2 Likes |
