Education / Re: 'You Want To Fight, I Will Give You Fight'- Fearless Boy Stands Up To Bully by spiralwedge(m): 5:12pm
My 2nd son is like this but not mere talk, action too. Ironically, it's the loveliest and most intelligent kiddo ever,

When he was 3 year old in kindergarten, i was told how he stood up for himself and beat mercilessly a well known pry 2 bully who was already about twice taller. According to the teachers, the bully changed his ways afterwards.

It seems sometimes that teachers are not well trained to handle bullies. They just feel that kids would sort themselves out.
Politics / Re: ‘Misplaced Priority’ – Obi Questions Lagos-calabar Super Highway Project by spiralwedge(m): 11:16am On Apr 23
EmeeNaka:
Peter Obi is right. The so called coastal highway from Lagos- Calabar is a huge project such as which Nigeria has no history of completing. That is why they started constructing from Lagos axis, just to ensure that Lagos is completed before the 8years or 4 years tenure elapses. We know about East-West Road that had taken ages, yet not completed.
It is important for Federal government to put in place a plan for adequate funding of all uncompleted Federal Road project littered across the country before embarking on another monumental projects.

By the time Tinubu is done with Nigeria, successive governments (which he would influence to emerge) would be building up on roadmaps and visions he would have laid down. He is visionary and you cannot take that from him. In his tenure, he will not build everything, but he will ensure groundwork is done for the future.

This is the major reasons majority of Nigerians who love this country voted for him. People who didn't, had different opinions - religious, tribal, selfish interests... but they are minority. The good will win over evil in this country.

NCC employed over 80% of his staff from SE during GEJ era. That’s a typical example of what happens when these people are given some small political power.
Politics / Re: Atiku And Wike Attend PDP National Caucus Meeting (Pics/Video) by spiralwedge(m): 3:24pm On Apr 18
Wike is wiser for taking the ministerial appointment than Obi. That’s what Obi should have done too.
Wike will be more presidential material than Obi by 2039. Obi is already another Atiku, due to his desperation at the last elections esp after the elections. He shot himself in the foot when he was supposed to be leveraging on his sudden popularity

No oo. Apologies not accepted.
He should be dealt with so that all these Election losers from one tiny dot of the country, who have turned to nuisance online can learn their lessons.

Apologies will be accepted after the lessons have been learnt. If your elders and parents can’t imbibe in you virtues, the Nigeria prisons will make an effort

Romance / Re: One Most Important Thing You Must Not Allow A Girl Do For You by spiralwedge(m): 3:13pm On Mar 27
women can only be there for you in a short while, when prolonged, they get tired. That's how they are wired. They are not meant to be providers. However, i'd say you give that woman her flowers.... she was there for you. She just isn't wired to bear so much responsibilities for too long.

You got the lesson in your story wrong, you leant nothing. There's nothing bad for your woman to help a bit.
The lesson you ought to learn from this is that when your woman steps in, you need to think out of the box quickly to get back on your feet. You probably laid down there for too long and stressed her out to do everything. A good man would go out there and find money to provide for the house by all means.

Lastly, you sound like an ingrate. That things didn't work out for you guys because of financial strains does not mean that you should not be grateful for the period that she stepped in.

I've had ex who supported immensely and though things didn't work out between us, I am grateful for all the care, attention, time and other support they gave when we were together just as I also gave my all when I was with them,

Business / Re: Naira gain: Pressure Mounts On FX Hoarders To Sell Off Dollars by spiralwedge(m): 12:00am On Mar 25
JASONjnr:
Tinubu met dollar at N700 to a single dollar and right before his eyes, it went up to N1,900. But we're praising his incompetence for subsidizing it to fall to N1,400.

Buhari met dollar at N200 and he left it at N700.

APC is all about noise and lies.

Too much ignorance in one post. Glad you have been schooled anyways by NL.

But of course, enemies of Nigeria will continue to cry
Politics / Re: Nigeria Has Become A Killing Field Under Tinubu – Atiku by spiralwedge(m): 9:15am On Mar 23
Thank God this man never became president because he is always playing the divisive card. He so much rely on brainwashing the North to win.

Imagine all the butchering and suicide bombing and banditry going on in his region for years and we never heard anything from him.

Angelfrost:

Don't be shameless... Leave GEJ alone.

When he moved on the counsel of Prof. Iweala to remove subsidy and reposition the economy in 2012, wasn't your current President among those that ganged up with dumb citizens to shut down the nation?!

If subsidy had been allowed to go back then, Naira floated a year or 2 after, would we be here today?!

How long has your current President chosen to side with evil just to satisfy his personal goal of ascending that throne?!!

Tinubu is a key part of the demise of this nation... Facts!!!

You be mumu. So if people ganged up to shut down the nation, a sitting president with his facts and best solution should succumb?

What kind of children are on NL these days with s!ck brains

And who is even talking of subsidy? Read my comment again and tell me you don’t have comprehension problems.

Politics / Re: Utomi: Loans Nigeria Taking To Shore Up Naira Are ‘meaningless’ Arise Exclusives by spiralwedge(m): 3:26pm On Feb 22
The real problem is that people like Utomi and his ilks were dead silent when Buhari was doing this. The foundation of the whole of these problems was from GEJ days. His administration was shortsighted and wasteful despite the abundance during his time.
What we are going through should have been faced squarely immediately after GEJ. But Buhari decided to patch the situation with loans.
It looks like that is what Tinubu will succumb to do now. That’s what our people want, nobody wants to sacrifice. Nobody cares if it’s going to be more difficult for our children in the nearest future.
THIS IS THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF THE WAY THE WHITE PEOPLE THINK.

The Aboki that feed You guys with their farm product

In the SW (i don’t know of other places), aboki is a friendly term used for Hausas, just as you have terms for people from other countries places too. Aboki in hausa means “friends”
If because comedians have made the word look offensive and you take it seriously, that’s your personal problem.

Good idea. Only Lagos govt is doing the right thing all the time.

I implore the LASG, to however, revoke the CofO of non-indigenous Lagosians and convert it to renewable 10 years lease. The State House of Assembly should enact this asap
