I think the Doctors might be correct as regards the exercise as a TEDx video I watched was where a researcher explained that exercising, jogging in particular results in the production of new brain neurones.

2 hamsters were used. One was placed in a cage with a wheel and the other, a cage without a wheel. It was observed that the one with the wheel in it's cage had produced lots of new brain neurones as compared with the hamster without a wheel in it's cage.

As regards Botany and Medicine, finish your Botany then reappraise your situation as regards Medicine and how you'd be sorting yourself financial wise after school since the dynamics are now different as you cannot ask for money from home the way you used to while studying Botany. I hope you're on medications too.

Overall, I wish you the very best.
Thanks Boss, I don't really understand your third paragraph, do you mean I should finish my Botany program before applying for medicine?

NDU accepts

a) ‘A’ level passes in Chemistry, Biology and Physics with a minimum of 10 points at not more than two (2) sittings.

b) a B.Sc. with a minimum of second class upper division in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Botany.

UNIBEN accepts

a) at least three (3) ‘A’ level passes not more than C or a minimum of 12 points in Biology or Zoology, Physics and Chemistry at not more than one (1) sitting.

b) at least a Second Class Upper Division from a recognised University in either B.Sc Biological Sciences or B.Sc. Medical Sciences. (UNIBEN does not state the disciplines, but I think biological sciences should include botany).

thanks bro, which uni is NDU? and are these the only universities that accept?

Sorry to hear about your condition, brother

These are my takes

1. Retention issues are best handled by repetition. Read the material over and over again.

2. Take breaks in between study to consolidate knowledge, and try to get enough sleep.

3. Take your doctor's advice. Exercise actually does a lot for the body than we think.

4. In prepping for UTME and handling your school works, have a working time table, and make sure you follow it consistently. If you start now, you have more than ample time to go through the UTME syllabus.

God help you in everything you do.
Merci.
Amen boss, thanks.
Like which schools accept Botany for D.E into medicine?

Hello bro,
I might not be in the best position to advise you as I am also an aspirant and I need advice too. But nevertheless I will give you my honest advice.

1. Do not quit your current program until you have your Medicine admission letter in your hands.
2. Take UTME next year. Pray to God for a Good score. If you get the admission, then it is up to you to either defer the admission and complete your current program or, Abandon your current program and begin Medicine.

Or,

3. Finish your current program, strive to get a good grade(first class or 2.1), There are schools that accept Botany for D.E into medicine.

4. As for finance, I believe it is God that provides. He will surely come through for you

In all, never forget the God factor, pray to Him for guidance and I believe He will direct you on the right path to follow.

See you at the top.
God bless you.
Boss, what do you suggest I do to get rid of brain fog, considering the fact that I might sit for Jamb and to be able to also graduate with good grades. I have difficulty concentrating while reading and also retention problem, It could be due to the prescribed medication I am on. My doctors suggest I should excercise what do you suggest Boss? And do you think I can cope with the Jamb and putme preps?
PS: I was diagnosed to have schizophrenia when I was 18.

*My candid advice*

Don't quit what you are already doing. Afterall you are almost through.

However, you could still sit for Jamb now, if luckily you gain admission, then you could defer the admission till you are ready.

I don't think you should consider quitting anything.

The God who have seen you through all these years won't allow you fall.

Hello good day Docs. I really need your advice on this. I will be starting 300 level next year January in my Botany program, but I have this passion to sit for jamb again and go for medicine. I was recently advised to complete this current degree of mine but due to me not loving this course and also the notion that when you want something so bad you should go for it at the moment, what do you guys think?
PS: I will be 27 next year, I have spent 5 years already due to a reoccurring illness of mine which made me to defer a semester, and also due to the strike and covid
2. I have financial issues at the moment, as I don't have a source of income.
Guys to be frank I really need advice on what should be my next line of action. Cause I always tell my self to focus on my current program but always finding my self wanting to go for medicine again.

Sorry for your predicament. I vividly recall my sister’s own . Once she start misbehaving in school , my parents will call me on phone, as my dad can’t stand seeing her display such behavior.
Can’t say you have to reduce how you feed as is not possible. If you have relatives to help you out of this country, talk with them .

NB : My sister was very rebellious during her own time . She can walk into their H.O.D office and call him a fool, even the person will be wondering what gave her this morale . She was very intelligent but this issue made her forget everything she knew . Someone that do teach people, now scared of reading.
She’s in South Africa presently in her final year Pharmacy which is her second degree . She got admission to study Medicine when the issue started in her 200 level, she deferred her admission for a year , when she resumed she changed to Botany.
Thanks boss, my relatives are not such oo.

hope your sister third eyes chakra isn't open ? like she can see what ordinary eyes can't see and hear what ordinary ears can't hear.

mostly that thing occur often at night whereby she won't be able to sleep but will be hearing things from other realms.

if that is the case then you need to find healer who can assist and close the third eyes for her
you sound very right man, I've onced seen a strange spirit during an episode of my illness, he entered my room, wore long black gown and had long black hair, his legs were inside the ground, came close to my net and poured something on it, till today I am still wondering what was that, or could it be just my imagination, but na, it was so real.

We have been doing this. I have Sudais, Minshari, Abdulbasit, Abdullahi abba etc recitations app in my phone and she has been listening to it. Infact, she's almost mrmorized Sudais' Al Qunuts but still, she still laugh and talks alone.
lolz bro so you are a brother in faith self, during an episode of mine, when listening to a Qari like sudais, the same ailment will even make me think he is talking to me directly and I will feel he is referring to me and my imagination will be that he is commanding me. Listening to the holy Quran is good, but Man there is already a neurological disorder that needs another strategy, if you don't arrest it now, it can escalate.

If you people take her to Psychiatric hospital they will place her on drugs , if she stops taking the drugs whatever is happening to her will return in multiple. If she talks back at your dad or even fight him don’t be astonished is the long effects of the drugs. The drugs trying to keep them calm makes them more bold in actions. For some the drugs increases their appetite for food leading to adding of flesh so much, for others could be their tongue getting longer all are side effects of the drugs given to such patients to calm her down. I am writing you from experience of what my little sister passed through. She’s now in South Africa and there’s no drug she’s on . Is counseling that brought her back to normal.
Nigeria health system is not it at all.
Hello, good day sir, even me boss am tired with this drug I am on, if I don't take it for just one day, hm, that is a problem. I was diagnosed when I was 18, and I've been searching for a way to leave this drug, God knows if not that am not financially buoyant, I would have just fly out and get quality treatment, any advice boss, coz now I am overweight, have brainfog all thanks to the drug I'm on.

My brother is suffering from this. He hears voices that gives him "instructions and tasks" please what can be done?
Man, that is schizophrenia, I also had same issue when I turned 18, best thing is to use style and take him to a federal neuro psychiatric hospital, for now you can get a herb called ginkgo biloba for him, it aids in cure of mental ailment.
Health / Re: Help!!! My Sister Is Having A Mental Health Challenge by spiritualmubi: 12:59pm On Sep 29, 2022
Man, take her to see a psychiatrist, she might be admitted, during her admission, you can then tell men of God to pray over her issue, let the physical (medical) and spiritual aspects go together, but first take her to a psychiatric hospital. (preferably a federal hospital)

Career / Shoemaking Or Photography. by spiritualmubi: 9:53am On Sep 25, 2022
Hello, good day wonderful nairalanders, I really need your advice on which skill I should settle for and learn in this ASUU strike. I started learning photography during the COVID period but left it, went back to it then left it again, for flimsy excuses. After that my Dad suggested that I should learn shoe repair, which includes sewing, polish and general shoe repair plus shoemaking, also left it then, but they now forcefully convinced me to go back to the shoemaking handwork because they believe that it is more easier to learn and start making small small money, and also the cost of transport coz it isn't that near to my house. Already started it for over two months now, but as been advised that whatever you are doing, you should love it, I really feel I don't have interest in this shoemaking and also I feel it is harder to learn than photography ( considering the fact that I have a little knowledge of computer) I've been thinking to tell them about me preferring to go back to photography, but I want to be sure am making the right decision. What do you guys think on this.
