If anyone has opinions on this topic, please share them and your reasons for them. Any sort of tertiary institution can be suggested (polytechnics, universities, etc). I just need honest answers (you can even counter arguments and state why a previously suggested university is NOT one of the best). Explanatory answers please, sharing the reasons you have that opinion is really important. Thanks in advance. |
kingjahjah:What would be a deciding factor in choosing between Architecture and Civil Engineering. I'm trying to decide on a course to pursue. Recommending good Nigerian universities to study both would also be appreciated. |
Well ,I think the University of Benin,Benin City is one of the best in Mechanical Engineering,Putting sentiments aside.I thought UNIBEN was overhyped.I attended an interview last year and we were 50 in number; many were 1st class graduates and master degree holders.Only 3 people were selected.I was one of the lucky ones. The other two were masters degree holders.Funny enough, the things I underrated while in school were assessed. Also the little things we kept on doing repeatedly from 2L to 5L were asked and they didn't pose a challenge.I got to know of my performance after working with the company for a few months.I was even made superior over my other graduate trainees and made to work extra sometimes ;I can't complain when I receive close to half a million! Lol.So I recommend UNIBEN.don't get me wrong.UNIBEN is tough. You can try OAU ,UI and maybe UNILAG.They are equally good.I have met outstanding graduates from there too. What kind of job functions do you perform at the company you work at? I'm trying to decide between Civil Engineering, Architecture and Mechanical Engineering. |
Which universities or polytechnics would you suggest to study Civil Engineering at undergraduate level? |
Nigerians be honest. Where your universities and polytechnics actually good? Remember, difficult school is NOT EQUAL to a good education. No hailing of alma matters please. This is serious talk. State your opinion and at least three reasons why. Let's learn from this thread ![]() |
HADI854:Which school did you end up attending? Is their program good? I need good suggestions for ME programs and I haven't been able to find good-quality, researched information anywhere yet. |
kossyablaze:Pls what school/uni is that? I want to live in a studio |
Myself2:Do you know of any senators that will support such a movement? I'm thinking of starting a petition |
Hello This is my first post here. I'm currently a science student but recently I've been thinking of changing to art since I feel it matches my interests more. The problem is that I find it difficult to list any possible careers besides law, psychology and mass communication which I don't want to study. What are the examples of jobs an art student can undertake after school? |
