@ humbleboyy Congratulations!!! cheesy

I also got a passport request email yesterday - May 19th, but I'm yet to go for submission. I'll also share my timeline shortly.

Did you submit at the Lagos office? Please what's the process and how long did submission take?

Hello Everyone,

I'm in the process of applying for a visit visa and I have some questions.
I intend traveling to the US for summer, and I'd like to visit Canada for about 6 days for tourism and then return to the US. My return ticket to Naija will be from the US. How do I reflect this in my application?
Is it better to select Traveling to Canada as a tourist or traveling to visit a family member/friend? Is one better than the other? I could stay at a friend's place or a hotel.

Also, do I need to attach any flight tickets/ hotel reservation?

Thank you very much!
I’m bringing this forward for visibility. Our Gurus in the house, please respond.

Nice, but if you call tls customer service. they'll ask you to pay for another booking... After submission do you receive any other confirmation? Like been received at the consulate or sent to the consulate
Yes, I have received 2 confirmations - Visa fee payment confirmation and application transferred to the Embassy.

AgentONE:
In your case, did you later generate another french visa form, and submit both the wrong and the correct one just as their FAQ suggests?
Yes, I generated another French application form, but it carries another applicant ID. Nonetheless, I took it along to my appointment but only presented the first one that carries the same ID as my TLS appointment confirmation. I added the 2nd one to my supporting documents. The TLS agent returned both the first and the corrected forms to me. She printed some forms, added them to my application envelope and gave some to me - all of them had my middle name on it.

When I got home after the appointment, I logged on to my profile and saw that the original application form now has my middle name on it.

Pls the insurance I purchased from AXA mansard is about 21 pages , am I supposed to print all 21 pages out pls I need help on this
It's Ok to print only the first page. I printed the first 3 pages, but the TLS official took only the first page and returned the rest to me.

The error was made with my french visa form...I used the copy functionality but forgot to change the passport and so the two forms had the same passport number, date of issue and expiry. All other details are correct. This mistake was only done in the French Visa Form and not in TLS Contact form.
I sincerely have no idea if this would fall into the same category as mine. Mine was omission of my middle name from the French visa form.

I will defer to experts in the house to weigh-in on this....

I am in a similar situation, please were you allowed to submit?
Yes, I was allowed to submit. Every other document has my middle name, only the application form, which was even returned to me at TLS.

What error did you make?

Q: I made a mistake in the application form. What can I do?
A: You must fill out a new form. No need to delete this form or your account. Print the good version of your form and add it to the required documents.

[quote author=BruceXavier post=136320233]Your major concern seems to be forfeiting the appointment you already made which I consider a small price to pay for the error you already made. I hope it's not too late. Omitting your middle name on your visa application form is sensitive. If you doubt me ask the TLS rep when you go for your biometrics

Thank you for your response. I honestly don't have any issue forfeiting the payment, it's just that my travel date it very close and I might not get a close date again. My appointment is August 11. I just checked the FAQ section of the France website and found the screenshot below and attached. Please what do you think?

If everything else is in order, it won't matter. Once your application lines up with your international passport and there is no attempt to deceive.
Good to know, because I don't want to cancel the appointment I already booked. Thank you very much!

Hello everyone,

I just realized I didn't add my middle name on my Visa application form, only my first and last name; it was only included on my TLS appointment form. Is there any negative implication to this? I understand I might lose the application fee and may not get the initial appointment date anymore, if cancel the application. What do I do?

Please, anyone who has an idea, kindly respond to this question.

Hello Guys,

In my itinerary, I listed some tours that I'll be going on. Is it compulsory to attach booked tickets or reservation of the tours? I tried to make a reservation for the 'pay later' option, but my card is being declined. What do I do?

Hello Guys.
Please, someone help me with a sample of cover letter for Tourist Visa. I have tried searching through some of the pages, but can’t seem to find it.
Also, due to error in conversion from Naira to GBP, I over estimated my Savings by about 2,000 pounds. Can I explain this in my cover letter or I need to cancel my application and refill? My Biometrics is on Friday, July18.

Many Thanks.

Good day, everyone.

Please I have some questions. I intend traveling to the UK, August/September, and I'd like to tour some European countries - likely Germany, Netherlands and Sweden.

I previously had a Schengen visa from France and I visited Paris with it in 2023. Can I still apply from France, despite no intentions of visiting France this time?
If Yes, how best do I reflect these countries I'd be visiting in my application? ( Flight, hotels, etc.) I'll likely be using Trains/Buses from the UK, and will only fly when absolutely necessary and will stay with friends.

Many Thanks.

Thanks a lot.
TravelRe: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by spriteB(f): 9:42pm On Mar 14, 2023
Thank you everyone for the support. I got my short stay France- Schengen Visa today!

Submission at VFS - Monday, March 6th.
Notification of passport return - Monday, March 13th
Passport delivery by UPS - Tuesday, March 14th.

Intended Travel dates: March 18th to 26th.
Destination: Paris.

Documents Submitted at VFS:

1. Application form.
2. Nigerian Passport.
3. Return ticket purchased via Wakanow. ( Realized from this thread that I would've just made reservation so money won't go to waste, just in case...)
4. Ticket reservation of tour activities. Booked on Viator, but not paid for.
5. Letter of introduction from my Employer , confirming employment and dates of travel and Employment letter.
6. 6 months bank statement each for my Salary account (Naira) and a Dollar account. This was reduced to 3 months for each account at VFS.
7. Allianze travel insurance; purchased via Wakanow .(Already purchased it before I saw this thread.)
8. Hotel accommodation booked via Hotels. com; but not yet paid for.
9. Copies of Work ID, Pension and Co-operative participation - I used them as a proof of strong tie to Nigeria.
10. Cover letter introducing myself, intended activities in Paris and summarizing the documents submitted. (Many many thanks to the contributors on this thread!)
11. Copy of US Visa.

PS: I got my US Visa just last month but I'm yet to travel with it. I was told at VFS that I'm a 'Frequent Traveler' so it was written on my documents pouch, even though I'm a first time traveler. So if you have any of the Visas listed on the website, just select 'frequent traveler' for your VFS appointment.

Thank you, everyone!

Please how many days did it take UPS to deliver your passport from when VFS sent it out? Is there a way to track it with them?

Hello Guys,

Please, I have a couple of questions.. ..

1. Is there anyone who is able to assist in getting an expedited VFS appointment date for France Schengen visa. I was able to get March 6th, but my travel dates are March 18-26, and this does not give the required 15 days required to process the visa. It's a short stay tourist Visa.

2. I just got a US Visa 2 weeks ago and I am yet to use it and I have never traveled out, can I indicate I'm a frequent traveler?

3. Someone suggested that I can apply for Italy Schengen, that they have walk-in submission option. How valid is this? Can I use the Italian Schengen to travel to Paris as a first time traveler?

4. If I don't get an expedited appointment and I decide to go ahead with the March 6th for submission, do you think it's worth the risk (10 working days)? Is there a possibility that the Visa may be issued before March 18th?

So sorry for the long post cheesy

Bullshit.....Evacuation cost is coverd by the government, it is part of the stimulus package just passed by Congress and signed by Trump.
Sir, this is not true. Evacuation is for willing Americans and so the willing ones have to bear the cost. Only those who for some reasons cannot foot the bills are assisted, which is still paid back over a pre-agreed period of time.
