Satazaa: Nigerians owes Dangote enormous gratitude for birthing his refinery, if not we will have still been stuck in the rot and the odious corruption of yester years in the petroleum sector as headlined by NNPC, that agency has to rank among the most fantastically corrupt government outfit the world has ever known, I never believed that Port Harcourt, Warri and possibly Kaduna will ever be able to refine a single barrel of oil again and boom here we are now, I never voted for Tinubu but himself and wike are gradually winning me over, kudos to them No I will give this tinibu, he has the willpower and that's the only way a Nation can function. Left to dangote it will be an all northern affair |
Politics › Re: Warri Refinery: Marketers Project Further Price Drop As Production Resumes by sslcrypt: 7:17am On Dec 31, 2024 |
If this is true then it means forces for years have deliberately subverted these refineries from working.
It's hard to trust politicians, so it will hard to believe at First. But if this refinery is actually working then tinibu knows what he's doing and he will easily get relected. |

Eriokanmi: Dey play. Na so una beat chest say dem no fit commot ecowas, that tinubu would deal with them decisively. Today, they're the winner. There are so many great verifiable things that Niger republic have achieved in leadership and consistency which nigeria is lacking in. Are you aware Niger used to export the 70% of the cooking gas that we used to consume before the ecowas ban was placed on them and the price of gas rose astronomically and has never dropped since then? Our gas from NLNG was mainly for export.
Are you also aware that Niger republic had a functional refinery and have run it for years unhindered without making noise? Are you also aware that same Niger supplies 80% of the onions that africa consumes? Are you aware that onions now cost much more than pepper in the market as a result of the ban?
Also, they supply a larger percentage of the vegetables we were eating in Nigeria. 60% of the cow and beans we ate used to come from them. They now want to be exporting their gold, which they had in commercial qty. I wasn't told these facts, I had always known cos I had a business partner in Niger. He's also very close to their government. In case you're still in doubt, Google will assist you.
We benefit from Niger than they benefit from us. Their onions are now exported to south and east africa, etc at much cheaper prices. It's high time we ate our ego and parleyed them. Niger isn't like Nigeria where we play politics with human life . They value their people so much and why they removed their leader who went and released a major isis leader. That's a country that cares, not Nigeria that would say terrorists are mere bandits or militiamen instead of calling a spade it's real name. A VP to tinubu wouldn't be in government in Niger. He wouldn't even be able to near power. Rather, he'd have been in jail, for creating and sponsoring boko haram. When a country like Niger is making a statement, they have their facts, unlike Nigeria. The foolishness of people like you is that you don't know when to reason. The country is a bad state and the leaders are not doing anything but to always put down Nigeria at the slightest opportunity is foolishness and stupidly. |

Originalsly: He may be right. France .... and the West .... is not going to sit back and allow Niger to control their resources. There is a pact by the West ....that no African country is to be truly independent and take control of their resources ... nor be self sufficient in food. Name any leader that tried to do the right thing... for his people..... then check his fate. Niger will be destabilized.... the government kicked out ...and replaced by a puppet. Syria...powerful military.... suddenly "rebels" got power to overthrow the government. How is that? Traore from Burkina Faso survived 18 assassination attempts so far. The difference is he has the people behind him because they can see the things he is doing and imploring them to take control of their country. Giving out tractors to promote agriculture .... building schools ... health centers ... etc .... sacked his Ministers and be holding trials for corrupt officials ... sending them off to prison etc. What is the guy in Niger doing to get his people behind him? But that doesn't take away that France will do anything to regain control of Niger. Whatever their plans ....Tinubu will have no choice but to go along with it ... or else? ... the US will dust off his drug files .... reopen it ... and haul him in for drug charges. He is a pawn in the hands of the West .... he can never do any good for Nigeria. If France plans on basing "rebels" in Nigeria ..then carrying out strikes in Niger... that's what it will be. If this General is going this far to denounce a statement ...there must be some truth in it.... he's doing too much to condemn the statement. You sounding very low life with all these nonsense you wrote. It's not a must to talk when you don't have the mental capacity to talk. |

They use terrorism to scatter their place
And in addition their place is very retrogressive due to cultural and religious beliefs
And the various religious riots that have happened there many people have fled those areas This is the gospel truth therefore those who call youths lazy because they don't want to farm are just been useless to humanity. |

Bandirao: yes I already understand your point as I say the problem is the area will be remote to you this is the great problem, but anyway I know southerners that relocated permanently to Northern states and become simple traders, carpenters, car repairs, betting shops management etc, I don't think if some one relocated because of farming will be a problem.
The other problem is insecurity that is why you are seeing more northerners in the south majority of them are wealthy peoples and their only assets is their land which is now under the control of bandits they have no idea other than to look for wage earning jobs in the cities whether in the north or down south? You farm based on what is available. we have water body in the south meaning majority of farming should engage more aquatic farming. The insecurity is the major problem, I was based in the north and had some farming operations going till the terrorists decided to start attacking farms we directly engaged. That's when I totally washed my hands off anything North because it was very dangerous then. Come South now majority of farms in rural areas cross paths with Fulani herdsmen who are still a major problem. The issue of herdsmen can be stopped but government is not serious about it. |

Bandirao: but actually the cost of starting farming in Northern nigeria is not so high,I don't know about the south but in places like, Gombe, and adamawa you can rented a farm of one acre for as low as 300k in some remote areas it is even less, they problem will be the remoteness of the area, there are many farmers that have several plots of land in different places and don't have the fund to cultivate them all they need to rent some to cultivate the others, if you have money don't hesitate to venture in to farming it is the most secure business to stake your money in Nigeria of today, Nigeria is undercultivated. Come on nah, how do you expect someone who's never lived in the North to pack and move north just because he wants to start farming? Why are there more northerners in the South now than there have ever been? Please let's be practical when we discuss major issues. |

DeLaRue: Excellent. Well done.
The rest should continue to fold their arms or waste their time being abusive on social media demanding that 'Tinubu should bring down the cost of food'.
Tell them to farm, they can't, won't, or refuse, but they expect a President to do abracadabra in Aso Rock and use incantations to make foods fall from the sky.
You are a diligent and commendable citizen.
By this single action, you have contributed your small quarter to bringing down the price of beans in the coming months.
The deluded and entitled yoots should continue to refuse to farm and keep on whingeing. It's up to them. Just shut the Bleep up, have you given them land? Have you given them training? Some of you sound like retards who just have access to Internet. You think most youths of today have any form of financial leverage? Tinubu should stop frolicking with France
It is bad optics to frolick with France when majority of Ecowas member states are adopting an anti-France stance
And APC zombies are also here dancing over Niger military leader's failure as if their democratic leaders are better off in Nigeria after 26 years of democracy
One balablu has deepened poverty instead of his audio renewed hope Yeah I agree with the romance with France, it's not good for our optics. Tunibu is too close to macron, Nigeria is a leader in our own domain despite short falls. So we must set good and credible leadership example for those who still look up to us. Look at Senegal he didn't spite France but rather told them to close their bases but maintained economic relationship. |

Lastly, tell him to mart off his two daughters to the Arzebaijan presido for peace to reign. Putin doesn't care, after all turkey backed Azerbaijan with their fight with Armenia who sign a defense pact with Russia. Literally Russia pact was to come to defense of Armenia in times of armed conflict, but Russia didn't show face. So as it stands Russia isn't happy that Azerbaijan didn't heed to its back room negotiation not to war with Armenia. But Azerbaijan took the side of turkey and literally after the conflict was frozen, Azerbaijan didn't get any consequences from Russia. Turkey is definitely grabbing power in that Eurasia belt, now see Syria another country Turkey used in checkmating Russia. |

Hence their myopic perspective.
Many are so limited in the information they have. I saw one yesterday on tik tok saying that he was surprised to just recently learn that Nigerians contributed financially in the struggle to end apartied in S/A and free Mandela.
He was almost in tears apologizing to Nigerians for the way they are treated. And my question is/was if you haven't or don't benefit anything from people directly so you treat them badly?
A child that has never left his father's compound will say his father's is the biggest.
By the way Nigerians are some of the most accommodating and hospitable people across the world! It's Soo true, one guy from Ivory coast came for couple of weeks. I can guarantee he will have good stories to tell when he returns. He presence made me observe something that Nigerians are not bad people that conditioning of the populace puts their mind under serious stress. And this stress subconsciously propels us to act and behave in ways that may appear unacceptable. Have you noticed how a typical Nigerian will never fight even though in a heated argument? That's a major evidence also that Nigerians don't like trouble. The fight I have seen that actually panned out was between some touts. Which to be honest was expected because they are the part of society that live purely by rules of the jungle. |
