Just charge it to 100% before you start using it. I used gen to charge mine then and it ba3 is still perfectly fine till now a month plus now.

On Android, that how I rooted mine, but once you root it, don't use the system update if u do, your phone will crash.

There are 3 major things that normally stalls the update.
a)your phone being rooted
b) having Cwm recovery as opposed to the stock recovery
3) uninstalling system apps that the update needs or wants to update
So either or combination of the above reasons could affect your update.
Some are mild in which the update will fail but won't brick your phone while others do brick your phone.

what the solution for a brick phone

You will have to wait and be hopeful aaua will accept 180 this year like they did last year.. and if they do, u still have a good chance if admission if u have a high score in post utme.
