Offline + Online = 20K am talking about. I do that on weekly basis. Take for example I took someone offline from Parkview Estate to passport office Ikoyi waited 4hrs, back to Parkview and got paid 13k at d end of the trip. Then an online trip request to Ikeja Airport came in, getting to MMA2 I made 3k. Another trip request to Ajah Badore comes in, at end of d trip. I make 4K. That’s total of 20k on 2k fuel which is usually half tank of Toyota Corolla American spec. With half tank I do a lot of trips. I only buy Fuel from HeYden filling station. Their fuel always complete. It doesn’t short.

One of my best started defaulting and now owing 3weeks. Father of 3 consistent payments since January.

Bro if you don't mind try to bring it down a bit ..20k should be fine, especially if the car is in top shape or tokunbo.. Am trying to be objective and fair at the same time ..also keep in mind that we are in the raining season.. A lot of cars do break down, this is the high season for mechanic to chop and clean mouth.. Please put all that into consideration too ..am talking from experience

You don dey vex. But I believe you need to understand what is said first before replying.

About getting a loan without a Guarantor now, you absolutely right about that because the system has improved and developed compared to the past.

But with regards to drivers recruitment on Uber, the system is just developing. Drivers don’t have Pension Account, they don’t work in blue chip companies and can’t use their salaries as a stand to secure a loan just like the loan system works in Nigeria. (I assumed you will know better since you claimed to be experienced in the field)

Also like I said in a follow up comment, if I get a referral from a trustworthy partner like the one I have now, I wouldn’t demand for Guarantors but if it’s a fresh recruitment, I will not only collect 2 Verifiable n Suitable Guarantors, I will also collect Security Deposit.

Also, in case you missed it, we need you to train us on how to recruit Good Drivers?

Are you looking for trouble with the person that post the request or do you really wanna know why asking for Guarantors before giving out your car is VERY important.

And please tell me how exactly you will know the well behaved driver in your presence is a good driver.

Would like you to educate us, how to recruit good drivers since you know better.


N.B - My partner driving the car on Uber & Taxify is exceptionally brilliant with excellent driving record and takes very good care of my car like his own but I still don’t have a step-by-step process on how to recruit excellent (Not good) drivers.

Nothing is guaranteed in this life.. The purpose of protocols is to reduce your risk factor.. I don't want to be disrespectful o, did u ever take risk management in school .. Now back to the matter for the driver owning me last week, which is another story for another day.. The guy finally called back ,he said when he wanted to make a transfer at the bank. The bank called Effc on him ..because a fraud wired transfer pass through his account, the money didn't enter is account, but it was pass through his account.. So he was picked up by Efcc ,so he called us to explain what happen to him. He still trying to clear his name, so for now the case is still pending till further notice.
Now back to protocol ,the first time the driver owned me the 10k ,if I had put in place the assurance clause at the time , which I didn't think of or have . I think I will be OK by now ..because of that experience I decided to start asking for assurance deposit.. Now if u were a good student ,you would have noticed that I stated that assurance deposit does not solve all the problems, it will help reduce it ,just like car insurance.. So what protocols does is to weed out bad drivers.. If you trust a driver so much ,why do we have tracker in ur car.. A tracker is a form of protocol now abi... think with an open mind bro ..it is a jungle out here .

It's all about the context of discuss.

We were not talking about driving experience, but prior experience driving on uber in relation to making money.

And I still maintain my earlier stance on the matter.

For me, if I were to partner with a driver for e hailing, my basic criteria would be

Pass driving test
Pass Google Map test
Pass common sense test
Pass Background and guarantor check
Can pay weekly rental upfront or assurance deposit

With these, I would easily drop my car without requiring prior experience driving on uber or taxify.
