The only reason a lot of people end up miserable,suicidal and feeling unacomplished is not because they aren't earning enough or aren't doing well,but solely because they want to live a lifestyle that their income can't support to impress people who shouldn't matter.
You can still live a good life in good Areas of ikotun,surulere,yaba and Co...
And why should any right thinking human pay N5.1m for rent?
That is the pressure to impress others once they get a little renown.
People with little astute mind can't manage such situation well.

How much be duplex for that same island?3 bedroom terrace kpata kpata N50m,and you are throwing 5.1m to rent house,craze!!!
Personally I use bank money to finance rents for my work spaces/facilities and pay installmettally over a period of 1 year every damn time because I don't want to waste time value of money on useless things such as rent,neither do I want to lose even an inch of purchasing power because of it.
Many people need finance education for real.

What do you mean by the bolded? If you mean internally generated revenue (IGR) go and do your research and you'll discover all states generate theirs. Some states generate more than others, due to more commercial activities.

Now I'm sure you don't know some states in the north have more IGR than some states in the south.

No one disputes the fact that every state generates its igr.
It is just that more than 78% igr is generated by the south. But unevenly distributed to some states with low igr.

The top 10 states with highest IGR in the link you provided yourself states 9 states from the south, and only 1 out of the 10 is from the North.
A situation where a region provides 9.
And the other providers only 1.
What does that tell you?
Isn't a case of the higher one feeding the poorer one?

You are insinuating that some states have more igr than some in the south.
And you dishonourably forgot that only Lagos has more igr than more than 15 whooping states in the north

Many people that I know who moved to island are regretting it especially those that moved to Lagos Island (Idumagbo, Idumota, Obalende) and Ajah

But some people on the island do enjoy it.
the serenity, and high quality of life with friendship are very more available on the island.

The crisis in eastern Europe is not enough reasons for UK to take such stiffening, and nauseating measures.
UK always seems to be draconian, and antagonistic with their rules.

I was just commenting on the high level of backwardness in most parts of Nigeria.
such is a big error based on the fact that with our vast resources, we are not supposed to be in the second nor third world countries.
Moreover, The North has opportunities to be taken.
Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, and illori are good places also.

globetrotting within a particular region in Nigeria with a uniform culture is a little bit farfetched.
I guess touring would be likely appropriate for such situation.
well, Nigeria seems like a country with very few developed places.
Some places that meet the global benchmark for cities are fewer than five.
most regions like North East, and its adjacent places are very wanting in that area.
