Maybe they are fake but what does your own ommonsense and intiution tells you. synaptic IS THE TERMIINAL. its already in the system. infact the system is synaptic. lol.

click on applications at the lefthand topmost part of the screen, acccessories, terminal. there is the most powerful thing in a pc ever made. with that white box u can DO ANYTHING, ANYTHING. thas where the pwr of synaptic lies. its to help u administer your pc, locate the wares u want and all that is needed to make it work!

the synaptic package manager, u have a graphical version for installing for pple coming from windows. it makes it even easier to install, 3 clicks and thats all, its not your biz hw its done, it gets done!!

synaptic graphical is located in, look for it, its also at the main tab, navigate round, get a feel of it and get used to the system. pls bring all questions u have no matter hw silly it sounds!

and go to www.ubuntuforums.org and register so u can have access to geeks worldwide. cheers, welcome bro

guy,  just installed the Ubuntu linux 9.04, and having some problems installing my normal apps with the commands, i haven't been a  a user of ubuntu before, so i would need a lil hand  to make t work with normal .exe files and connecting to the internet,

@mjay, well said, have you tried MTN and Zain on it? I have not used etisalat before so will have to follow what Chukaz said, get back here if it worked for MTN and ZAIN. .
