Why should this even bother me, when the self-acclaimed engineering students in my school are yet to start any practical.

Is salary being paid by Microsoft (meaning equal in any of the companies) or by each company?

Even for a an Msc holder the pay is usually 50k and its not in anyway championed by Microsoft
