Finally its a big YES...
Bio- 19th July (standard from Nigeria).
IHS link sent on 10th Aug and I paid same day.
An email recvd for consideration same day.
19th Sept-- email received for collection.
Passport collected today 20th Sept
Documents are yet to be received though d email I recvd yesterday stated that passport and documents are ready for collection but on getting there, I was only given d pp. D returning envelope bears Hubby's name n address and I'm wondering why they didn't send it to him.
No enquiry calls
The 45 WD was not an easy one bcus I made a mistake during submission. I didn't put my docs in polypockets and stapled most of the docs.. It was after submission I got to know about this group and saw the rules; thus my BP increased but I had no option than to pray fervently for favour.. At last the will of God prevailed in my case. Vignette is 10 Nov to 11 Dec. For those waiting, keep trusting God for the unmerited favour.... I want to thank Lexus for his advice regarding NARIC and that really helped a lot if not we would have wasted a lot of money...

I was able to get d letter from school, scanned imdtly to Naris along wt my transcript n by evening of same day I was confirmed for payment of £346.80 and it was delivered to hubby yesterday. He will post to Sheffield 2moro. Thanks all for ur advice

I think this is the best option too... apply for fast track via NARIC not the letter from school.

Luckily I was able to get d Naric assessment n paid £346.80 n hubby will post to Sheffield on Saturday. Thanks Oxygyne

YOUNG MAN OR WOMAN, please do not take such an expensive gamble with so much money involved. Kindly ensure that you get a NARIC assessment if you do not have a certificate from the UK or other recognized English speaking countries. Unfortunately, Nigeria is not one of those countries.

Naric 24 hours is about £196.00......
You do not send the letter from your university to naric. You send your certificate to Naric for grading...

The letter was incase you wanted to bypass naric, take the gamble and submit directly to UKBA......

Yes d letter is all I need now, so can I attach it wt my other documents and send to Sheffield without assessment or I should send to Naric? How long does it take to get a response from Naric using d fast track option of 24hrs? Pls advice me on d next step to take. I'm done wt d biometric and barely have time for submission

The letter from your institution, is the only route now. You have already done your biometrics and don't have the time required for NARIC's assessment.......

You would be taken a massive gamble...... We have known people on this forum submit Nigerian University certificates, and application gets rejected because of the English Factor....

NB: We know your university taught you in English, but it seems they think we are taught in broken English or poor Queens English.......
Some people even submitted UK university credentials, and still got rejected (initially)...

Thanks dear for d advice. Another question, can I submit my University Certificate (Nigerian Uni - Nnamdi Azikiwe Uni) without going thru Naric for verification?

This same thing happened to my 2 year old son. Cos we both applied together. But thankfully last friday they emailed me to pay cos we did our biometrics June 26. and I paid immediately. I was surprised why they would exempt my son from paying IHS. Although i was happy
My advice is either u wait for them to email you and u follow the link or contact them as soon as possible.

I came to know about this forum today as vfs Ikeja. I'm done wt biometric n probably will post d supporting documents 2moro. I have an issue wt my IHS; after completing d form online, I was exempted(kind of weird) and an email wt ref no sent to my mail. On getting to vfs today, I met a lady who's also submitting for spouse visa n she told me that she paid. I'm really worried and I need to know what to do before I post my supporting docs to Sheffield to avoid any negative issues. Pls advice me on what to do

Stargirl you should have talked to the lawyer you paid for hos services, this is my advice call the lawyer and submit all the orginal to him, he is with your document.... Do that ASAP, I just hope hasn't gone to your school

pls I need an advice on this issue. I gave someone my docs to help me submit at d embassy for legalization in May. unfortunately I found out that what she submitted for me was d photocopy of my results n kept d original though they were all authenticated at MOE n MFA. is there a way I can go to d embassy to inform them about d error in submission n likewise submit d necessary ones as par my school certificates. d legalization lawyer came to our house n I wanted to ask him to know if they r in position to help but was scared. pls house I need ur candid advice on this issue now
