DHL partners with Wikki Tourists FC of
Bauchi

By NAN on January 12, 2016 4:26 pm
International courier company DHL, is to partner
with Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi, with a view to
enhancing the fortunes of the club.

Mr Sharon Abott, Chief Executive Officer of the
company, made this known on Tuesday in Bauchi
when she paid a courtesy-call on Gov. Mohammed
Abubakar.

Abott explained that under the partnership, DHL
would provide jerseys, tracksuits, boots and other
kits, free of charge to the team.

She further explained that the company would also
sponsor both national and international matches
involving the club in the next three years.

Abott said that she was in the state to inspect sports
and airport facilities in the state, as well as meet
with supporters of the club, before signing an
agreement.

The CEO commended the state government for
maintaining a cordial relationship with the company
and assured that DHL would not disappointment the
state.

In his remarks, Gov. Mohammed Abubakar described
the partnership as a welcome development, adding
that he had been having nightmare on how to boost
fortunes of the club

“I have interest in sports and how to enhance the

fortunes of the club has been my concern since my

assumption of office.

“I accept the partnership as a lot would be off my
shoulders; the state is lucky to host a lot of facilities

and tournaments, especially Abubakar Tafawa
Balewa Memorial Stadium, Bauchi.

“With this development, I am sure of bringing back
the lost glory of the state in sports,” he said.

The governor urged Abott to visit the Bauchi
International Airport and Yankari game reserve

Drama in Wannune Camp, Benue!!!
Corp members refused to answer the Camp Commandant during the Makossa night and it led to the marching of all Corp members to the parade ground (@ some mins to 12am) only for them to sit down on the floor for some minutes for no reason.

This made me wonder why one soldier(nt GCFR) 'll punish around 2,500 graduates (potential leaders of tomorrow) and yet people will still clamour for the need of NYSC orientation camp.

Left to me, the Orientation Camp shi should be stopped as most of the things being done there are meaningless and don't add value to our graduates. Even the SAEDs that are organised are based about money; after an entrepreneur has explained what his firm/company/organisation does and the advantages, they'll tell you the registration fee is............... Then that means the entrepreneurs were @ the camp for money and nothing else.

It's a shame you can't be employed without NYSC certificate, meanwhile this isn't done in other civilised countries of the world. We(Corp members) claim to be serving the fatherland but is it by Man O war drilling, soldiers drilling that'll make us serve the fatherland. undecided

NB: I ain't saying the whole NYSC programme be cancelled but I don't see reason for the need of Orientation camp.

Hey, it seems this a plan exercise nationwide the same happen at Yakubu GOWON nysc camp in jigawa here same time and we all sat on the ground
