Why Every Serious Accountant Must Master IFRS, Before It’s Too Late

In today’s fast-changing financial world, knowing IFRS is no longer optional, it’s mandatory for every accountant who wants to remain relevant.

International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) have become the universal language of business, used in over 140 countries, including Nigeria.

Whether you work in audit, taxation, consulting, or finance, your ability to understand and apply IFRS determines how far your career will go.

Think about it 👇

Every major organization, from banks to multinational companies, prepares their reports using IFRS.

So when opportunities open up, they don’t just want an accountant… they want an accountant who understands IFRS.

Mastering IFRS helps you:

✅ Prepare and interpret financial statements that meet global standards.

✅ Gain the confidence to advise management with clarity and accuracy.

✅ Become the go-to professional your organization can rely on.

✅ Increase your chances of landing international or high-paying jobs.

Now, here’s the danger most accountants ignore 👇

❌ Without IFRS knowledge, your skills quickly become outdated.

❌ You’ll miss out on high-paying opportunities that require IFRS competence.

❌ You risk making reporting mistakes that can damage your professional image.

❌ You’ll stay stuck doing routine tasks while others move ahead.

Don’t let that happen to you.

It’s time to invest in your growth and secure your future with our comprehensive IFRS Video Tutorials.

Systems Over Willpower… How to Start Preparation for Next Diet CIS Exams.

Relying on motivation alone to pass CIS is like relying on market luck to build wealth, it’s unpredictable.
If you did not write the just concluded CIS diet exams, I’m sure you never intended to miss it, but situations and challenges took over your time…. You relied on your mood (free time) to start preparation.

You need systems, not moods.

A system is a structured habit that removes the need for decision-making.
For example:

Study every night after dinner for 1 hour.

Review past questions every Sunday morning.

Watch one video lecture daily during lunch.

These habits make studying automatic, just like how investors automate savings.
In summary, have specific days, time and place you study on a daily basis.

When I applied this during my Level 2 preparation, my productivity skyrocketed. I stopped “trying to read” and simply followed my system. Even on bad days, I still made progress. J. P

You don’t rise to the level of your goals, you fall to the level of your systems. — James Clear

So, instead of asking, “How can I stay motivated to study?” ask, “How can I make studying automatic?”

Design your system today and let it help you start and finish studying for the next diet CIS exams.

Missed This CIS Diet Exam? Don’t Wait for Results to Start Preparing for the Next Diet.

One of the biggest traps CIS students who missed a diet exam fall into is waiting for results before picking up their books again. You missed the last exam, and now you’re telling yourself, “Let me see how others perform first before I decide.”

Here’s the problem, waiting creates delay, and delay kills momentum.

The truth is, whether the last result comes out good or bad, the next exam date won’t shift for you.
While you’re waiting, time is quietly slipping away, and those who start preparing early are already building an edge.

From years of guiding students, we’ve seen a clear pattern:
Those who restart immediately after a missed diet bounce back faster and write with confidence.

Those who sit back “waiting for results” often lose rhythm and end up skipping again.

Don’t let procrastination rob you of another chance. Even if it’s just revising one subject or watching one topic of video lecture per day, start now. By the time the next diet comes, you’ll thank yourself for not standing still while others move forward.

Just 7 Weeks to the ICAN Nov 2025 Exams….. How Prepared Are You?

If you are not prepared yet, don't panic. You’re not alone.
Almost every week, students reach out to me saying things like:
"I’ve not even started studying… is there still hope for me this diet?"

Naturally, it could feel almost impossible to study and pass with the limited time. But instead of quitting, why not try a different approach that has helped ICAN students to study and pass within limited time.

The solution is;

✅ Switched from heavy textbooks to ICAN Video Lectures (easier to digest after work).

✅ Join the ICAN Zoom / Google Meet Classes (So, you can ask questions and get clarity on what you have read).

✅ Practised Past Questions (since examiners often repeat patterns).

Remember that you are preparing to pass not for research purpose, just ‘follow who no road’

So if you haven’t started preparing for ICAN Nov 2025 diet exam yet, relax, you still have time, ONLY if you start NOW.

The longer you wait, the harder it gets. The best time to start was yesterday; the next best time is TODAY.

Feeling the ICAN Exam Pressure? Here’s How to Stay Calm and Pass with Confidence

The ICAN exam is getting closer, and right now you might be feeling the pressure of exam preparation. Late nights study, unfinished notes, and sometimes, that little voice keep whispering, “What if I fail?”

Listen, I get it. The tension is real. But here’s what I want you to remember: pressure doesn’t help you pass; strategy does.

Here’s what you should do starting today:

Balance Study with Rest:
Burnout kills retention. Take short breaks while studying. I know you want to read 24/7, but the truth is, a tired brain forgets faster. Sleep, short breaks, will keep you sharp.

Cut Out Distractions:
Reduce social media, mute unnecessary chats, and protect your study hours like your life depends on it.

Use Video Lectures:
Instead of struggling through 500+ pages of bulky textbooks, video lectures deliver the same concepts in condensed, exam-focused form. This means you feel less overwhelmed because you can actually see progress daily.

Video lectures shrink the mountain into a climbable hill. When you see yourself covering more ground in less time, the pressure drops, and your mind calms down enough to actually retain knowledge

Remember, the ICAN exam doesn’t just test what you know, it tests how calm and focused you can stay under pressure. You’ve put in the effort, now trust your process.
So instead of panicking, channel that energy into smart preparation. You’ll be surprised how much more confident you feel.

And here’s the good news: you don’t have to do it alone. With our ICAN Video Lectures and online Zoom/Google Meet classes, you’ll cover the syllabus faster, practice exam-focused questions, and walk into the exam hall with confidence.

Are You Still Waiting for the ‘Right Time’ to Prepare for ICAN Exam? Read This.

The Proven Way to Remember What You Study (Especially for ICAN Students)

Hermann Ebbinghaus’ Forgetting Curve shows that we forget over 50% of what we learn within 24 hours if we don’t revisit it. Spaced repetition interrupts that curve.

If you read a topic today and don’t revisit it, chances are you’ll forget over 50% of it within 24 hours. That's the Forgetting Curve at work.

But there’s a fix: Spaced Repetition.
It’s a smart technique where you review the same topic over intervals, not just once.

How It Works:
Day 1: Study the topic with full focus and check the solutions to ICAN past questions for the topic.

Day 2: Briefly revisit it.

Day 3: Test yourself by attempting to solve ICAN past questions.

Day 4: Teach someone, if there’s no one to teach, teach the mirror or do a voice recording of what you have studied (You can share it with anyone, just for review).

Why it works: Your brain remembers better when you remind it just before forgetting. Each review makes the knowledge stronger.

How Video Lectures Help:

Instead of re-reading bulky notes, video lectures simplify concepts, help you understand faster, and make spaced reviews easier. You can pause, rewind, and watch again at the perfect intervals.

With video, it feels like the tutor is right beside you, explaining it again and again until it sticks.

Don't just cram. Learn smart. Review smart. Pass smart.

Procrastination Feels Harmless, Until the CIS Exam Is Around the Corner

You keep telling yourself, “There’s still time.”
Then it becomes, “I’ll start next week.”
Next week turns into next month…

And before you realise it, the CIS exam date is very close, and once again, you’re unprepared.

That’s the danger of procrastination.
It doesn’t shout. It whispers.

It convinces you there’s still time… while silently stealing your consistency, confidence, and success.

But here’s the truth:
You don’t overcome procrastination by waiting to “feel ready.”
You overcome it by taking action, even something small, like studying for at least 30 minutes a day.

Watch a lecture. Practise one question.
That’s how momentum starts.

As Mark Twain wisely said,
“A habit cannot be tossed out the window; it must be coaxed down the stairs, one step at a time.”

Don’t wait for the perfect moment.
Start now and when CIS exam day arrives, you’ll be prepared, not panicked.

Recall 95% Of What You Study With ATS Video Lectures

According to PsychologyToday.com, the primary reason people learn well via video is that the human brain processes video 60,000 times faster than it does with textbooks.

A few weeks after reading, people will likely remember only 10% of textual content (textbooks), 65% of visual content, and 95% of audio-visual content.

This means that video content connects with people on a deeper level and does so significantly faster than text alone. Hence, Video Lecture enhances self-learning and engage your attention.

According to shiftelearning.com, after three days, you can retain only 10-20 percent of written or spoken information but almost sixty-five percent of visual (video) information, and visuals (Video) have been found to improve learning by up to 400 percent.
