Chief Ukadike blamed the acute shortage in supply of importation bottlenecks and the slow pace of marketers licence renewal by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA. He disclosed that only 1,050 marketers out of 15,000 have had their licences renewed by the NMDPRA. See them , lying for govt. Lying Machine. 1 Like |

Ekaette1621990: 3 Centuries ago, Pres Tinubu forebearers did shege on Nigeria , specially on the southwestern Nigeria where the matriarch Efun Tinubu engage in slave business on a large scale with the connivance of the British. Fast forwarding to present time, same Tinubu protege with the instruments of state is slapping us in the face with multiple strangulating economic policies. I can always imagine how those Nigerians lives a terrible life 3 Centuries ago. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Pungnacity!! Unserious Government that want to gaslight us again and again. How many times will they sell false hope to us. See it. The NLC has hijacked the initiative by proposing a new minimum wage of 615k per month for workers as against the current 30k. The sleeping govt quickly wakes up her sleeper cells agent to promote the forgotten CNG at 200 naira. Hmmmmm. So ordinarily petrol price too should have been at that range but due to dubious manipulation of the citizens ,they jerked it up for their selfish reason and that brings about attendant suffering to the citizen in all directions. Let's keep watching how the manipulation continue with this useless CNG promotion. NLC should keep an open eye and never back down on their minimum wage proposal. 3 Likes |

What kind of excuses is that. Sell it to Dangote now. What about the stale excuses that we have received advanced payment of crude for the last 12months an agreement entered into by the last administration. So much opaqueness going on. 2 Likes |

Business / Re: New CBN Capital: 25 Banks Need N3.89trn Fresh Funds To Meet Requirements by starstaz(m): 1:59pm On Mar 30 |
This is a typical Nigeria scenario:::: The politicians and crook financial officer in government and private sector used biro to spoil, soiled and pillage the economy by adding zeros to inflated contract and other means such as money laundering as well as opaque financial transactions like round tripping etc etc The sequale of misappropriation of public funds and wastages of scarce resources has finally brought down the economy to his knees. Particularly the Banking community that serve as conduits pipe for this malfeasance. Now the chicken has come home for roasting . There is no pity for the banking community cos they were hand in gloves to annihilate our thriving economy, they were thinking they are the smartest by doing cover up for corrupt politicians. They better look for the money the CBN is asking for if they so wish to keep their status as market leader. Finally, if and when this recapitalization exercise goes through, I do hope the banking community will follow the law by reporting dubious money movement to NFIU for the sole purpose of financial sanitization. 1 Like |

This just reminds me of SAP during IBB regime in 1985 shortly after taking over from GMB through a bloodless military coup. I remember clearly how my parents will tagged us with our neighbors and left home as early as 5:30am to purchase food items in the so called Sunday Sunday market at discounted price. Needless to say the market is under the purview of the first lady . Bag of Garri, bunch of plantain and banana, bag of semovita, dry fish and plenty crayfish, ewedu and extra vegetables including bag of oranges will be brought home. Reminiscing!!!!! All the way. (1985 to 1988). Nigerian economy became settled and stabled by 1989 and this government serviced market disappeared as people refused to patronize them again due to increments in people's purchasing power. Tinubu has just copied Babangida SAP in another style under internet age. |
