Very funny country and people and Banks. The CBN in 2008 forced down Recapatilization of bank capitals base down our throat. We saw the gains and several collateral damages not excluding dislocation of the microeconomics and family economics whose daily life depends on Banking system. Stability set in few years. Only for CBN again with thoughtless policies to erode our gains by causing several inflicted inflation and depreciation of Naira and DMB also engaging in further dubious malpractices to weakened the naira further through pecuniary and shortsighted gains . Walking blindly round the cycle, CBN that mismanaged the economy is now proposing Recapatilization again. What do we call this. |

franchasofficia: Whenever a guy or a girl feels he or she is too special and better than others to commit to anybody, they always end up miserably single for long if not forever.
Only fools find love.
People who sometimes allow themselves to be deceived end up having meaningful life than those who always overthink life and always on guard against being cheated or used by others.
I was brought up just like you, very strict family, them no born you well to keep a male friend to talk of a female friend while growing up. My only friends were my siblings and few cousins.
I lived a miserable life growing up and even missed amazing people I would have become friends and acquaintance with while I was thinking I was too good and far better than anybody else.
Until I unlearned some of the wrong things I was inculcated into while growing up as a child, I lived a very miserable life; found it hard to talk to girls, avoided girls, always too shy around girls and even guys. My only companion was my book, house chores and my siblings. But when I unlearned and started being open and allowing myself to mingle and sometimes be deceived by others, I began to grow in all ramifications of life and I became more street smart and to the glory of God I ended up a great man with great wife, amazing kids, awesome friends, quality life and more than what I asked from God.
The only thing giving me stress in life now is the useless Nigerian government that always keep me angry at most Nigerians and my new academic study (a cross I carried oh in the name of growing my academic qualifications for bragging rights ).
So op, you made a lot of mistakes, you had lots of things you should have done differently.
Your quick in breaking up is a curse you need to pray over and break out of if not Wisdom. 💎💎 |

Egbon JGB, this pain is grossly too much. If you want us to bear the pain kindly readjust your policy that will drive energy access and affordability in these areas
1) Bringing the retail price of LPG to 100 naira or 200 naira per Kg
2) Bringing Kilowatt consumption of electricity to affordable price
These two interventions are necessary succour to utilize while we are receiving bombardment from your overprice fuel following your removal of subsidy . Selling LPG at 1000 naira or 1200/Kg is a crime against the kind people of Nigeria. This is Holocaust and a civil genocide without using Gun. |

Tinubu has finally disgraced Awolowo Legacies, his tribe and Nigerians not forgetting Lagosians. This is a terrible president. I mean it wholeheartedly.
His failing parameters:
∆ Exchange rate : Zero
∆ Fuel price at the Pump : Zero
∆ Inflation management : Zero
∆ Refinery: No blame here for now. But why not allow or elevate illegal Refinery to Legal status in the interim
∆ Energy security complexes management: Total Zeroooos.
∆ Antecedents: High Ratings
∆ Hope For better Nigeria : Dim, waning , closer to Negative.
Solution: Mr President kindly reverse this your policy. |

LegendHero: There is one thing that I find weird.
Somehow ever since BBC drop that headline that Tinubu certificate wasn’t forged, the “certificate” noise died down naturally.
So does that mean foreign media still carry more weight than our local media? How is it that when local media report it, no one seems to believe but when foreign media does it, it suddenly killed the noise.
Nigeria media still has a long way to go.
How can one headline just kill almost 8 month of propaganda? Salute to BBC. Our Local media decided to play a spoiler game, anachronistic journalism and parochial partisanship. The end game is glaring for them not limited to but including Ait, Arise TV and channels. Funny enough these are our so called giant media houses playing dangerous roulette in an unusual difficult political terrain. It was a terrible gamble they swallow . Just a single headline from the British Propaganda machine has knocked them off, straight to their canvas. Shameful! |

Politics › Re: 'Subsidy Back As FG Pays ₦169.4 Billion In August' - Daily Trust by starstaz(m): 10:10am On Sep 23, 2023 |
nairalanda1: Yes, but even if we remove corruption, the problem with subsidy is that the cost of producing a liter of fuel changes.
Like now, assuming we had kept fuel price at N65 , by now the cost of subsidy per liter would have risen from N34 per liter in 2011 december to N800-900 per liter now.
At the end, we would be spending an increasing amount of money from other parts of the budget over the years, just to keep fuel at N65 PER liter.
Even this reintroduction of subsidy that tinubu is doing...
1.No money was budgeted for subsidy beyond June...so where is the money for the new subsidy coming? Other bits of the budget.
2.At the end, that creates a deficit which can be filled by taking more loans and more loans.
See why subsidy is bad.?
(And people abuse me all day long on this site for supporting subsidy removal, some even call me APC supporter. THIS HAS EFFING NOTHING TO DO WITH POLITICS). Sorry for stampeding you. Rework with this logic, that imagine the dollar to a naira is held (stable) at 185 naira for instance. How much are we going to pay at pump price vs the subsidy to incure as well. |
