I told him to let me know if he needs help settling in and the silly boy told me to bring him some jollof rice! I was shocked and in my mind I was like "sebi na me find trouble come".
He probably didn't know my role/level. But even if I was his mate, should that be the response to a professional offer to help? A lot of our men still see women as kitchen occupiers and still speak in manners that are not acceptable here.
These bad encounters turn well meaning ppl off. If I wasn't who I am, that will be the last time I give a newbie a chance. People don't like to suffer fools twice.

Thankfully since then, I've had the pleasure of meeting other junior Nigerians who were sensible and didn't give me regrets.

Here's the explanation, the man pocketed the money he was supposed to use to send the wife for operation and sent her to the pastor for 'free' healing.

He did not pay the pastor 36 million to heal his wife. He diverted/stole the hospital bill and
sent his wife to pastor for free healing so he(the husband) could spend the money whichever way he pleased

Go to Eket and Ona. You will see so many young men from Warri and environs who are working in companies in Eket, Ona and Oron. Some have even relocated with their families.
I was shocked to see several Urohobo restaurants in Eket, where they sell all kinds of Delta native food.
Way back we use to have so many young men from Akwa Ibom riding okada in Warri and environs. Do your fact check, many have gone back to their home state.
In case you don't know, there are more companies in Akwa Ibom right now than in Delta state.

Where we bought blocks from, the moulder is from akwa ibom.
Some of the girls that hawk snacks past our site are from akwa ibom.

Come to warri, you'll see every tribe from Yoruba to hausa to ibo to Calabar etc all hustling here. Infact the number of non deltans living in warri is more than the number of Delta idigines residing in warri.
