Unfortunately in Nigeria people will only clear the road if it is a politician's convoy or a bank's bullion van.

Pitiable country.

Some road contractors are wicked.

When they go abroad will they build the substandard things they build here? Or is it because this is Nigeria?

How could I forget Kwaghir? The amazing puppet and masquerade show from Benue. I LOVED the signature tune. We had both funny and scary puppets and masquerades.

A festival of the Tiv people in Benue state of Nigeria, it is a display of traditional masquerades, puppet theater, some forms of acrobatics, dancing, music and sartorial display. A colourful festival indeed, it attracts many people and is accentuated by the friendliness and warm welcome of the Tiv people of Nigeria.

Thanks to Nairaland. I have been looking for the name of this show

Family / Re: Getting Married And Living In Your Parents House. What Is Wrong About It by stasius: 9:58pm On Jan 25
Barbiturate:
I think it's just the mentality. Social media is good but then it's also bad in some ways. In the sense that, it has shaped some peoples' reasoning upside down. There's absolutely nothing wrong in living with your parents when you have a large house. That's if they want. They would even assist you in taking care of your kids well, if you and your wife are working class.

For me, my dad is late and my mom lives with me and my wife. She formally stays in the village, but I discovered she's always falling sick. So I went to bring her to live with me and my wife, that's after discussing with her(my wife) and she agreed. Since she has been living with me, no more sickness. She's always happy and doing one or two to keep herself busy and she's not lonely again. She has BP but I help her to manage it. Takes her drugs and eats well. I also check her BP anytime I come back from my hustle.

Don't allow social media to shape your life for you. Do what pleases you and works for you.

God bless you. It is really absurd how yeye social media is trying to configure people's ideology and mentality when it comes to certain issues in life.
There is no ideal.
Do what is good for you and your home. Simple.
Crime / Re: Same-sex Marriage, Still Prohibited In Nigeria - Police by stasius: 9:42pm On Jan 25
So they won't arrest them again?

I sense pressure on the Nigerian police by international powers within and outside the country.
They have softened their tones and ended up citing laws. I thought they said they are going to round up the people involved in the challenge?
Why the change of tone?
Since the anti-gay law started I haven't seen anybody jailed. James Brown and his cohorts were arrested and all released not because they didn't 'caught' him but some powers that be are in charge.
The people arrested in Warri gay party have all been released. No single person jailed.
Bobrisky is still walking around majestically.

That law is useless. Everybody should go and rest.
Some powers still rule this world! Sadly so!
