The reason Ika and Ndokwa people have greatly withdrawn from this Anioma nonsense is because of some Aniocha Oshimili people. When Ika wants to release statement or discuss about their identity and politics, they restrict it to Ika, when Ukwani wants to do same, they restrict it to Ndukwa but some overzealous Oshimili people keep trying to impose their identity on everyone trying to createa new ethnic group that has never existed. Anioma has never been an ethnic group but a group of related ethnic groups that are completely independent and autonomous.

There is no ethnic group called Anioma. Izu Anioma is not recognised in Ika nor Ndukwa. Maybe it's an aniocha cultural group

The Petrol Subsidy as we had it before was settled to each marketer/importer/retailer, where each marketer/importer will have to file subsidy returns to the government, and they get paid given the margin between the total landing cost (Could differ around the country) and the total revenue (official price x units sold).

The shortfall financing in this case is just NNPC selling their fuel at a reduced price and as well financing the margin as stated above.

Guess the salient difference here is that NNPC is the only marketer that can file returns to the government, which I think was the objective to start with. A lot of retailers under the subsidy regime will usually ship their products out to other countries to sell more fuel, and claim more subsidies.

Doesn’t feel like the subsidy removal was well thought out and planned anyway, we’ve got kinda like a single importer, and there’s bound to be a lot of bottleneck and throttling(Every retailer will have to buy from NNPC, if they are going to have a competitive price) hence the scarcity we have now, but I guess they can monitor the supply chain better now.

Seems like the Subsidy is more effective. We're now paying 1000 per liter and more money is being paid to subsidise it at the same time.

Seems like the goal from the beginning is to remove the fraudulence from marketers to give NNPC and Tinubu complete access to subsidy gains while making Nigerians pay more to buy the product

Will you or anyone agree to pay that in Nigeria?
