Lucymercy: my brother there is something they called self discipline and honor...it is not A MUST to be rich. There are many jobs one can do if you not the lazy and greedy kind. There is something called honor and discipline but that doesn't negate the fact that most financial criminals went into it out of hardship and frustration. Seeing the risks they take to commit some of these crimes will tell you no right thinking human can venture into it unless no out of frustration. However, once they go into crimes, coming out becomes difficult that's where they get corrupted |

Politics › Re: 24 Hours To Hunger Protest, Steps FG Has Taken To Stop Demonstration (Full List) by Stephench: 1:30pm On Jul 31, 2024 |
benuejosh: Okay.
In Nigeria, the protest is as a result of bad state actors who are feeling pained that the election conducted didn't bring them to power even when some came distant third position.
There is hunger in the land. Yes it is true, but what have the individuals done about it? did hunger start today? have they gone to farm? they blame the government and i ask, define government. Are the masses not the authority? are they not the ones who sent people to represent them? What have they done to support those they sent to represent them? If they are hungry they should go to farm and not allow themselves to be used with hunger as an excuse or tool to be used by those who lost out of election to cause chaos.
The rot of over 16 years cannot be cured by just 1 and half year of Tinubu in government. Peter Obi had 8 years as governor of a state yet left Anambra as one of the worst state in terms of development and governance.
Those behind the protest are only calling for anarchy and chaos to make this administration unstable.
Even if the protest ends, untill the farmers harvest their crops, there's nothing that can be done about the hunger. Government can not farm to feed the whole nation. Most Nigerians want everything to be given to them freely without them working for it.
Minimum was increased to about N30k Abia state and Benue that i am aware of were still paying workers about N18k till date. But it is the federal government that they want to blame. Even if it is increased to 200k, federal government will pay her own workers but will the state government pay their workers? will the private sector pay? are the protesters protesting against their state government or against Tinubu? The man -Tinubu- has increased minimum wage. Ask your state governors to implement it and lets see.
Traders in the market are increasing prices in the market at will, are they protesting against those traders? but it is Tinubu that is increasing prices. We need to be wise as a people in this country. The call for anarchy should be resisted by all means and those supporting it should be brought to book.
For me, i am not protesting because the protest is just a call for anarchy. The government is working round the clock to make sure things work out for good.
Don't allow hatred for a particular ethnic group to cloud your sense of reasoning.
Tinubu is working! It has been 16 years since 8 years ago. Still 16 years + 1 and half? The math isn't mathing at all |

celestineteryim: just keep quiet toddler l know majority didn't Link their line,am not a new person in this Nigeria, not everything you will cry foul. I can see that you are a typical bitter grieving Pandora obituary and LP slave. Stop acting like a disgrace. 99% of all the lines being barred now have linked their NINs. Unlinked lines were barred several years ago. Since that 2020, everyone buying new SIMS obviously linked it. MTN suddenly requested everyone to relink their lines or get barred. I was barred as well even lines that I bought and registered at the point of purchase |

I wonder why Nigerians can't just act rightly. Always violent always trying to fight and break things
The offices should remain locked, you don't go to people's place of work and threaten them when they have told you to register months ago I don't know what to tell you. What stupid warnings upon warnings. Do you think the people being blocked did not linked their NIN? I linked mine several times and it still got banned until I was able to unbar it after going to MTN office 5am in the morning to queue. Don't put your mouth in something if you don't know anything about it |

The odds are stacked against the masses, sky high. The government are prepared, and they are not the best in human right records. Moreover with what has been destroyed since this administration took over, it may take more than 10 years to dig yourselves out of this hole. Why the hurry?

We know the people that hijack protests. Tinubu and his Apc minions has only one strategy and it's been working for him so far - divide and conquer. Once he senses an organization as a threat, he'll create his own version of that organization. He did it with niger delta militants, he did it with ohaneze, afeniferi, LP, Igbo vs Yoruba. All the protests that happened from 2015, he hires protesters to counter that protests and a lot of the times also paid touts to destroy properties so it appears the protesters are violent. This is his most potent tool let's see how far it takes him. |

But let's get real, aviation accidents can happen to anyone, anywhere, no matter how advanced your tech is. It's a harsh reminder of the risks pilots face every time they take to the skies. It's quite disgraceful that a country that's not currently at war is losing 10x more aircraft than the countries currently engaged in warfare |

If you hate voice note, it's your issue not theirs.
Nobody hates VN as much as I do and I cringe whenever I receive one - but I know it's my issue and not the issue of the sender. The way you hate listening to voice note is the way someone else hates typing. You expect them to displease themselves to please you? And typing is usually more tedious and time wasting. What if they're very busy?
And those saying they should have called - y'all are too unreasonable and ridiculous. You hate voice notes and like calls? Calls are usually more intrusive and disruptive.
Work on yourself guys like I did. When I receive one, I don't judge the sender for sending one. It's my prerogative to either reply with texts, calls, VN or simply ignore. A lot of the times I don't even listen to the notes. |
