During Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s sermon on Thursday night at the ongoing 62nd annual convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, .Pastor Adeboye narrated that a high profile woman who was an executive of the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, did everything to seduce him. According to him, the woman came to him and announced to him that God had told her that he would be her husband, and immediately he rebuked her, saying “you know that I am happily married and have children.” That didn’t deter the woman who continued to pester him, and even came to the camp to threaten him, saying “if you stand on my way to marrying this man, I will kill you.” Pastor Adeboye took the matter to then Inspector General of Police who immediately invited the woman and her husband to his office and after a meeting banned the randy woman from entering the Redemption Camp or ever making passes at the man of God. . “But that measure didn’t stop her. I travelled to London without telling anybody, to work on the church’s devotional, Open Heaven. As soon as I settled down in the room, the telephone rang and the voice at the other end said: “welcome to London. I am coming in 15 minutes, The cleric continued, wondering why his audience responded with a laughter.Continuing, he said he told the voice: “You don’t know anything, you know that the Police in London are very efficient and if you dare come here, I will call the Police for you.” There is a Police station a few meters from where I am staying and she must have known that because she didn’t come but kept calling me.“I cried to God Who told me ‘You know of the scripture that says, whatever you bind on earth is bound in heaven.’ Believe me honestly, unless God helps, there are thongs you cannot handle on your own, He stated, urging the large crowd to stand and pray with holy anger: “Anyone hindering my progress, before this month is over, Holy Spirit send down Your fire to consume them”. Pineapple is a juicy, delicious and healthy fruit and there are many great reasons to consume it every day. One of the best things about pineapple is that it’s available in the grocery stores all year round, though the peak season for it runs from March to July. Since pineapple is easy to prepare, you can enjoy it with little effort daily or weekly. Check out seven reasons why you should include pineapple in your daily eating plan. 1. Versatile There are many things to do with pineapple. You can chop it and mix with jalapenos and avocado for a tasty garnish that brings out the flavor in fish or chicken. I like combining chunks of pineapple with mango pieces, orange segments and kiwi slices for a wonderful tropical fruit salad. Give it a try, and it will be your favorite fruit salad all the year round. 2. Great taste One of the best reasons to eat pineapple every day is because of its great taste. Pineapples are naturally sweet, juicy and incredibly tasty. You can eat them raw or cook with it. I usually add pineapple to my smoothies, salsa, Greek yogurt and fruit salads. If you can’t eat fresh pineapple, using it in your smoothies will be the best option for you. 3. Rich in antioxidants We know that antioxidants are found in most vegetables and fruits, including pineapple. It’s essential to get enough antioxidants regularly since they combat free radical damage that plays a big role in heart disease and cancer. Free radicals come from an environmental toxins and poor, unhealthy diet so we cannot completely avoid them. However, adding pineapple to your eating plan will give you a bit of insurance. 4. High in Vitamin C Vitamin C is essential for our immune system health and pineapple is packed with this vitamin. Getting enough Vitamin C on a daily basis will help you bypass that cold most people have right now. A one-cup serving of pineapple provides you with all the vitamin C you need for the whole day. 5. Low in calories Fresh pineapple is really low in calories. One cup has less than 100 calories. Although pineapple is super sweet, you can include it in your healthy diet and don’t worry about weight gain. Sticking to a diet plan low in calories is one of the best ways to keep weight gain under control, so eating something that tastes good and contains fewer calories and less fat is just wonderful. Have pineapple with your lunch or eat it as a snack and keep your weight under control. 6. You can cook with pineapple While pineapple is incredibly delicious raw, you can also cook with it. You can combine pineapple chunks with red bell pepper and chicken breasts in the slow cooker for a tasty sweet and sour chicken recipe. I like cooking chicken with teriyaki sauce and pineapple juice, shredding it up and serving it on buns for a Hawaiian dinner that my family always enjoys. For a delicious dessert, slice pineapple and grill it with honey. 7. Pineapple is easy to peel Unfortunately, many people don’t buy pineapples because they think it’s difficult to prepare. But they actually aren’t. Just cut off ends of the pineapple, stand it up and slice the peel from top to bottom using a sharp knife. Then, cut the pineapple into 4 chunks, slice the core and cut it in bite-size pieces. Use them for your meals and if you have the leftovers, keep them in the fridge. 8. Low in sodium Nowadays most foods contain alarming doses of sodium. Pineapples are low in sodium and they are perfect for people who have to stick to a low sodium diet plan. Even if you don’t follow a low sodium diet, it’s worth eating pineapples regularly. 9. Boosts immunity Pineapples are high in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, selenium, Vitamin B6, manganese, copper, thiamin, and traces of more than 15 antioxidant compounds that help keep you healthy. They boost your immunity and protect against specific pathogens. I think it’s one of the most important reasons to eat pineapple every day. 10. Boosts brain activity Pineapples are an excellent source of natural sugars, which provide the essential glucose to your body and help balance your blood sugar levels. This improves your brain function, promotes better cognition, and improves your focus and concentration. Pineapple has a lot of amazing health benefits and if you lead a healthy lifestyle, you should certainly include this fruit into your eating plan. How often do you eat pineapple? What’s your favorite way to enjoy pineapple? SOURCE: en.amerikanki.com |
Lagbaja has rejected an offer by the Iyiola Omisore Campaign Organisation to perform at the grand reception of President Goodluck Jonathan’s scheduled visit in Osogbo, Osun State, next week. According to reports, the masked musician had been approached to thrill supporters of Senator Iyiola Omisore, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of the August 9 governorship election in Osun State. Responding to the offer, Lagbaja allegedly said: “Though the court of the land discharged and acquitted you (Omisore) in the murder case against the former Minister of Justice in Nigeria, the late Cicero of Esa-Oke and foremost nationalist, Chief Bola Ige, I have deep-rooted innermost conviction that you are culpable in the death of my mentor and benefactor. “If you offer me all the allocation of Osun State during your four-year-tenure,peradventure you win (which I seriously doubt), I will not perform for Iyiola Omisore governorship election.”

Gallardo crooner, Runtown has cleared the air on rumours that have been flying up and down about him being the Original composer of Davido's hitsong "Aye". it did not stop there.....it is also rumoured that he sold the track to Davido. Here are excerpts from the interview with Tribune, People are saying you sold the Aye song to Davido. What would you have to say? (Brief silence) A lot of people have been asking me that question. David(o) has had a number of interviews where he addressed how the song came about. So if you want to learn more about Aye ask David or read his interviews. But did you sell the song to him? The first time I heard about that, I felt it was nobody’s business to raise issues like that. I know we are in Africa and people like to ask questions, but it is certainly not my business. We need clarification from you? You cannot clarify from me. Are you saying you didn’t sell the song to him? Maybe the song sounds like something I would have done myself, perhaps that is why people are saying so. |

please I will love to know the opinion of football lovers. An argument came up in my office about the better player in hazard and Sanchez. Their style of play looks a bit similar but I think hazard dribbles more and Sanchez is a better finisher. But I would love to hear other people's opinion on the two player. Who is better?

1. Before you start a relationship with a lady, you must think carefully about what you are about to do. A relationship is not something you should rush into or handle lightly. 2. Are you ready for a relationship with her? Are you emotionally, mentally and spiritually mature to meet her needs? 3. Being sexually attracted to her means absolutely nothing. It isn’t a sign of likeness, love or any other thing your mind may come up with. It may just be your hormones messing with your mind. A woman is more than her body and her sexuality. She has a life which you should be able to blend with. Can you do that? 4. This lady has a history. Can you handle it? She has a past. Can you handle it? Can you handle her mistakes, failures and weaknesses? Can you handle her dreams without being intimidated and becoming jealous? 5. She already had a life before she met you. Can you fit into and help improve her life? 6. Love is commitment. Are you ready to commit your life to helping her grow and become all that she can be, by God’s grace? 7. Is she valuable enough for you to devote a large portion of your life towards the accomplishment of HER dream? Are you ready to pour your resources into making her all the Lord plans for her to be? If you are not ready, don’t just bother. 8. Before you open your mouth to say ‘I love you’, ask yourself if this is not just a moment of ‘emotional madness’. A lady needs much more than ‘I love you’. She needs your commitment. If you are not ready to make that commitment that will lead to marriage, please leave her alone in peace and stop wasting her time and resources. |
With the arrival of Alexis Sanchez at Arsenal now seemingly imminent, Sport, the Spanish daily, report that a private meeting in Brazil between the Arsenal manager and Chilean proved the decisive factor in the player’s future. With offers from Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan and others, the Barcelona forward had plenty of options, but after requesting a sit down with the player, the Arsenal manager worked his charms and convinced Sanchez that London, and the Emirates, would be the best place for him. Sport say that Wenger gave the player the ‘love’ he needed, and assured him that he’d been following his progress since he was a young player, keeping tabs on him as he moved from South America to Udinese in Italy, and then on to Barcelona. Having had a couple of days to reflect on the meeting, Sanchez told his agent, Fernando Felicevich, that his mind was made up and he wanted to join Arsenal. Having already laid some of the groundwork with Barcelona, Dick Law then put the rest of the deal in place knowing the player’s intentions and full agreement between the two clubs was made. Yet it appears the manager’s personal touch is what swung things Arsenal’s way. It’s not the first time it’s happened either. Mesut Ozil spoke about how a meeting with Wenger was what convinced him to join Arsenal last summer, and when Manchester United got Gary Neville to show a 17 year old Aaron Ramsey around their training ground, the Arsenal manager trumped that by flying the Welsh youngster and his family to Switzerland to personally convince him to join the club. The final line of the Sport article says: The seductiveness of Frenchman is inexhaustible. Whatever your views of him, it’s hard to argue with that.

From OK Magazine source, Jay Z and his wife Beyonce have cut off all ties to Kim K and her husband rapper Kanye West. The source alleged that Bey and Jay feel friendship with Kimye is bad for their professional image. This is how OK Magazine is reporting it; An insider tells OK! that Jay Z and Beyonce have ceased all contact with pal Kanye West and his bride Kim Kardashian, who had spent the last two years pushing to get closer to the stars. “When the rappers were on tour, Beyonce was forced to sit with Kim at shows and hang with her after, and she put up with it through gritted teeth,” says the source. Now the newlyweds have even been spending more time at their New York apartment, just two blocks away from Jay and Beyonce’s home there, in a bid to get North to Bond with Blue Ivy. However, the insider says the superstars are fed up with being associated with the Kardashian brand. “Bey and Jay feel like they’ve been dragged through the mud with all the drama surrounding their absence at the Kimye wedding,” says the source, adding that Jay has actually been moving away from his former BFF for some time. “Jay made it clear to Kanye that he doesn’t approve of the choices he’s making in his personal life and it will end in disaster for his career.” This explains why Beyonce and Jay Z didn’t attend Kimye’s wedding. |

In an interview with Channels TV yesterday evening, Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola described yesterdays action by the Nigerian Army as very disappointing, stating that they are public servants paid with tax payers money, so shouldn’t behave in such a manner. He however said he’s waiting for a formal report to know what really transpired. “I spoke with the Brigadier General who said he was managing and controlling the situation. Nothing I have yet is verified. I am waiting for a formal report before we then can ventilate a position. There is allegation that somebody who was not supposed to be on the BRT route was on the BRT route. As far as I know if something happens to you while you are conducting an unlawful act, it’s a criminal offense in its own sense. Its really disappointing to put it mildly that public servants, and that is what soldiers are, paid with tax payers money will act in a manner that is being suggested here, and I say this being suggested because I am waiting for official report to let me know really who played what role, what happened, whether or not even the brigade commander has been able to identify the people who were involved…but if it turns out to be true, it would be a very very irresponsible conduct to put it very mildly” he said. |
Let me first say this: I love both artiste, but prefer one over the other. 1. ARROGANCE – WIZKID Wizkid, from what we know, he came from a middle class family but he acts like he’s been living the life of gold already. He’s been making dumb comments to his fans who made him. He once said “when broke people think they have a say” to a fan who inquired about his next album. These same fans made him and just like a typical African star. We’ve heard bad rumors about the kid star concerning his fans. 2. PLANLESS – WIZKID Wizkid is just following the footsteps of D’Banj who rose to the sky and dropped like God kicked him back to earth. He is rushing for international fame just typical of most African musicians thinking that is the way to heaven. Truth is, you need to conquer your world first. Currently Davido is popular all over Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Zimbabwe and his home country, Nigeria. He seems to have a plan, trying to conquer his continent before moving to the world. Wizkid is forgetting that the foreign world doesn’t have anything for him. All his crap lyrics “lelelele and yaaga” and things won’t make the cut. If I was him, I would learn a lot from D’Banj’s failure. Even Kanye West couldn’t help D’Banj, what more can a douchebag like Chris Brown and Justin Bieber do for you as an African artiste? 3. WIZKID – ACTS LIKE HE’S MADE IT Davido is a son of a billionaire, if not, a millionaire and he’s been probably living a lavish life since childhood but he has defied that fact and trying his best to join his dad. Davido makes a whopping $ 50,000 per show and has made his own money, unlike Wizkid, he goes to instagram and twitter just to act like he’s a millionaire already when I’m perfectly sure he’s far from that. We are not surprised, poor people always want to be something they are not. No doubt, Wizkid has made it but even Mike Tyson who was once worth 300 million dollars plus is now broke how much more a musician from Africa who is not worth a million dollars SMH! 4. DAVIDO – MADE IT ON HIS OWN (VERSATILE) Davido started it all off with his “HKN Gang” unlike Wizkid, he came through Banky W who made sure the world knows about Wizkid’s talents. Just like most of our African artistes, he felt cheated and decided to form his own StarBoi label and even planned to leave Banky W’s label. Greediness ![]() You tell us? 5. WIZKID IS JUST LUCKY, DAVIDO IS THE BUSINESS If you listen to Wizkid’s songs very well, his songs lacks substance, it’s the same usual “one word chorus” like Ginger, The Matter, Caro but Davido spans through all the genres from Highlife, Dance, Afrobeats like Skelewu, Aye, Gobe, One Of A Time and more hits in his short time of being in the industry. Davido also take advantage of all artistes (both underground and made artistes in different countries) and work with them unlike Wizkid, even if you invite him, he would have to like your product first before he feature on it. Davido immediately shot another video to his hit song “Skelewu” after fans complained about it, if it was Wizkid, he would have insulted the fans. Davido has songs with Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Diamond, Mafikizolo and counting. Not forgetting most of Wizkid’s hit songs were freestyles and unplanned. |
