Thanks @Anon123
Anon123:
There are sites approved by CIC in which you can apply for your gcms note but you have to be a Canadian citizen or a somebody living there to apply.
Also there are third party sites where you can apply, they help u to apply but will cost more. Google can get you started..

Thanks for the explanation @Meek127

Please, how do I request for the GCMS notes? Do I send them a mail or how do I go about it?

Thanks
Meek127:
Meaning of GCMS note---
With the ability to see what the reviewing officer has written on your file, GCMS notes are the only accurate way of providing an applicant with the in-depth view of his file, thus enabling the applicant to be well informed of the status, or take pro-active steps as needed.

As for requesting for the GCMS notes, they can mail it to you I think

The 5m wouldn't have sufficed you both, thats why there was a red flag there

1yr course,thats alright....you should be okay financially

Thanks a lot @JustMellow
I’m really grateful. God bless you real good.

Please what is GCMS note and how do I request for it?

Actually, for the sponsor, it was our Mum’s pension account that we intend using, with my hubby being the co-sponsor. The duration of my program is 1 year.
JustMellow:
Hello Sterling1122,

The profile seems good. My curiosity is who was the sponsor for both of you and how was the financial strength of this sponsor? Also, are you earning in the labout market and how did you demonstrate this, do show your BS? How long is the duration of your program? It will be better if you go for a PGD/C than a Post-Secondary Diploma, only if you don't have clear reasons for the choice program and/or if you can't demonstrate the significance of such program towards a progressional career path.

Be as it may be, try to inquire if your prospect DLI offer a PGD/C in your desired course or something related. Don't rush to seek for refund or take certain decisions in regards to your application without proper inward assessment.

However, not notarizing documents for Canada SP is optional except if the situation of a document calls for it. This is not the case as most applicants whether successful or delayed didn't notarized.

Lastly, even if the GCMS notes is now often generic, request for it before refiring. It may just come different with answers.

BTW this response is also applicable to your sister.

All the best

4. It will cover my living expenses (which I pointed out in my LOE)
5. The doc is the Letter of Administration from the high court.
B. The full balance on the statement of account is 11m but the PFA chose to write 5m (which was wat the court wrote on the LOA) because of the Nigeria factor of for instance, Lawyers wanting to get their share of the money coz of the huge amount involved, court demanding some percentage and all that
Meek127:

Thanks @Luckymama
I’m grateful for this piece.
For the study progression, I’d get a refund of the fees paid and reapply for a masters or PGD that relates to my previous degree.
And as for the funds, I’d do as you’ve rightly said.
As for the employment, I got out of a job last Dec as it was the end of the contract employment as a graduate intern in an consulting (accounting) firm which I included in my LOE but didn’t submit any evidence such as employment letter to proof as I felt it wasn’t strong enough and moreover I was out of the job before submitting the application. Tho I just got anoda with Zenith but I’m not sure if I’m to upload that as the job description doesn’t align with my previous degree and current professional exam (ACCA).
Lucky-mama:
@sterling1122, to the best of my knowledge, applying for a post secondary certificate after a B.Sc is what earned you a “purpose of visit” denial. From what I have learnt there needs to be study progression, so you need to apply for a course that is linked to either your work experience or previous degree.

As for funds, it may be better to wait until the entire estate (your mum’s) is liquidated so you have the entire 11 million at your disposal. At the same time I don’t know if that money will suffice for the both of you at the same time. Though with these people sef one can never tell because even when you apply with more than enough funds they still deny.

To give yourselves the best chance, get another admission that shows study progression- perhaps a masters or at the very least a post graduate diploma. Then one of you should choose to apply while the other supports.

You also did not indicate if you work as I noticed you had a refusal for current employment situation. If you work include evidence of this - especially if it’s a good job.

All the best

Below were my (same reasons stated for sis) refusal grounds:

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your current employment situation.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.

Please I need your contributions to help me make informed decisions as here are my concerns below:
1. I’m in a state of dilemma of either getting a refund for the fees paid or defer the admission. Although, I have mailed the college about the refusal and asked if my admission can be deferred to the next session (Fall 2021) and they said yes. But I am worried coz I got admission for a post secondary certificate course in buiz Administration and not PGC (and of which I have a B.sc degree in Entrepreneurial Studies and I’m at the skills stage of ACCA; all these declared in my LOE).Please would getting a refund and applying for a PGC be the better option or to defer?
2. After the refusal, one of my hubby’s friends said one of the reasons I got refused was coz I didn’t notarize all of the documents submitted. Please, how true is this? So that I’ll have to notarize when next I’m reapplying.
3. Please I need your directions on the next steps to take people as I am confused on wat to do

I’m really sorry for this long epistle, it’s just that I need to come clean so I get the right advice.

Please I need a response fam.

Let me rephrase my question: do I have to notarize all of my documents to be used for application? This is because I got a refusal on the 11th and this was one of the reasons that someone mentioned as I didn’t notarize any of the documents I submitted.
Sterling1122:
Hi people,

Please I’m a newbie here and I’d like to ask if everyone that submitted their study permit application on this platform notarized every of the documents they uploaded.

Thanks.
