Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left Napoli mid season for PSG. The move came as a surprise to onlookers.

“The man who made that statement was at a time invited by the EFCC after he was Jonathan’s spokesman, shamelessly. Thereafter, EFCC arrested him. Was I the one who granted him bail to leave PDP to go where he is?” he added.

The senator also took issue with Abati’s comments on Labour Day, where he felt the senior journalist failed to acknowledge his contributions to labour movements.

“Even on Labour Day, he was saying some labour leaders who had been involved in picketing and fought for workers; he could not even credit me with the fact that I led the protest. This is a guy who wrote ‘Oshiomhole the people’s president’ when I was president of the NLC,” Oshiomhole said.

He said if Abati wished to continue his criticisms, they should do so in person.

“Rather than crediting me with that, he said when they leave NLC, they now go and become governors.” Oshiomhole said

You are aware of the farmers and herdsmen continuous clash and how this is seriously affecting food production.We are been warned if this continues farmers will not be able to cultivate adequate yield that will cater for the country's growing population.Also note that climate change is there so if the farmers are not allowed to farm timely and adequately it will add to food shortage and food scarcity.Lets not also forget our people who are still in IDP camps who have no hope of returning to their homes to resume their lively hood as some or most of them are farmers.The purchasing power of our currency is dipping and price of goods and services are increasing almost everyday.The crime rate now is something else with young men and women who are ought to be gainfully employed whether as employees or self employed taking to life of crime and other social vices as the way out as they are frustrated etc. MURIC should focus on areas like these,look into these areas and see how they can come in to assist and proffer solution.

l only try to give some more clarification. There is nothing wrong .Weighted average number of ordinary shares outstanding is a known and recognised method

i initially pointed this out but everyone kept shouting annualized instead of doing the maths.

What happened is this as stated on page 11of the financial statement

Basic earnings per share are calculated by dividing the profit for the year attributable to shareholders by the weighted average number of ordinary shares in issue during the year.

The calculation of basic earnings per share as at 31stMarch2025 was based on the profit attributable to ordinary shareholders and weighted average number of ordinary shares outstanding:

The figure circled in yellow was what was used to calculate the EPS which was then annualized

35,800,740 / 17, 858,502 = 2.004689

Annualized 2.004689 * 4 = 8.0188 approx. to 8.02

l am still trying to understand the factor that they used to arrive at the weighted average. They have been using this method. l went back to review last year's quarterly financial statement and l noticed this same patten was used to calculated and arrive at EPS for each quarter which was then annualized
