the Ebay economy. Unfortunately for Peter Clatworthy of
Nottingham, UK he dropped £450, about $735, on what he
thought was an Xbox One day-one edition but turned out
to a baldy printed image of his dream machine.
The 19-year-old student saved up his shillings to buy an
Xbox One for his four-year-old son, who absolutely kills at
FIFA 14. Though when making his purchase on Ebay
through what seemed like a quality vendor, he did notice
the listing said “Photo of Xbox One Day-One Edition” Mr.
Clatworthy still went all-in and got stiffed. What’s the worst
part? It’s not even a good copy. Come on scammers!
Would it kill you to get an ink jet printer?
"I looked at the seller's feedback and there was nothing
negative. I bought it there and then because I thought it
was a good deal.” Clatworthy said “it’s obvious now I’ve
been conned out of my money.”
In an added twist of the knife the scammers wrote on the
back of the print “thank you for you purchase.” But don’t
feel too bad for the guy because he paid through PayPal so
he’s receive a full refund for the Xbox One and an Ebay
spokesperson said they will “take action against the seller.”
Xbox One’s in the UK have been selling for Brazil-like
prices. An Xbox One day-one edition console sold for £720
according to the Nottingham Post. That’s roughly $1175,

10. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.3
The Galaxy Note 8.0 is a good device. There are better out
there for the money, and with an arguably better design as
well. However, for those that like the S Pen as a tool, it’s a
great offering, and packaged in a more portable offering.

clearly been enhanced to make this a major selling point,
plus we like the IR blaster and its media capabilities. That

9. Microsoft Surface Pro
This is arguably the best windows powered tablet. It’s
sleek and it delivers.
With a handy QWERTY keyboard, large screen and
Microsoft’s Office suite it’s an obvious business machine,

It’s expensive though, so be ready to fork out at least $700
for the basic version. Obviously, not the best.
8. Google Nexus 10
Who would have thought? Google’s own tablet? Well,
things have changed, it seems a little outdated spec-wise.
The 10.1 display is one of the biggest talking points on the
Google Nexus 10. At 299 pixels per inch it’s the highest
resolution 10-inch tablet display on the planet – take that
Apple, and your Retina screens. If you’re looking for
something which is packing even more pixels you’ll need
to trade your nexus 7.
Sure it may not be as stunning to look at, or as well built as
an iPad, and the lack of expandable memory will irk some,
but overall the Nexus 10 gives you a quality, big-screen
Android experience which is not to be sniffed at.

Sleek and iconic. it’s light, really light, yet looks premium
too. Sony has surpassed expectation with this and
delivered a tablet that wouldn’t look out of place in a

It’s waterproof too – sure, you might not use that feature a

How many sperm cells are released when
a guy ejaculates? Sperm counts vary from
about 20 million to 100 million sperm cells per
milliliter of ejaculate. Healthy guys produce
from 1.5 ml to 5 ml of semen each time they

How big are sperm cells? From head to tail,
human sperm cells measure about 50
micrometers (0.05 millimeter, or roughly
0.002 inch). The tiniest object you can see
with your unaided eyes is about 0.1 mm–so
forget about seeing sperm without a
microscope. A human egg is about 30 times
bigger–large enough to be seen with the
naked eye.
What are the parts of a sperm cell? At one
time, people believed that sperm cells
contained tiny individuals known as
homunculi or animalcules. Now we know that
sperm contain not little people but DNA. And
we know that sperm cells are made of three
basic parts: the head (which contains the
genetic material), a middle section (packed
with mitochondria that provide energy for the
tail), and the tail itself (flagellum).
How fast do sperm swim? Sperm cells
swim about 5 mm a second, or about 0.2
inch. That’s a lot faster than it sounds. If a
whale could swim as fast, proportionally
speaking, as a sperm cell, it would zoom along
at 15,000 miles per hour.
How do sperm know where to go?
Scientists believe sperm cells find a waiting
egg cell via a couple of complex mechanisms.
They swim toward higher concentrations of
molecules released by the egg (known as
chemotaxis) and toward the high-temperature
areas of the woman’s reproductive tract,
where eggs are found (known as
thermotaxis).
Who discovered sperm cells? That would
be Antonie van Leeuwenhoek (1632-1723).
The amateur Dutch scientist and prolific
lensmaker first observed sperm cells in 1677.
Whose sperm was it? His own. Van
Leeuwenhoek was also the first to observe
bacteria, muscle fibers, and the flow of blood
cells through capillaries. No wonder he’s been
called the “father of microbiology.”

One of the most powerful typhoons ever recorded now appears to have devastated cities, towns and fishing villages with heavy loss of life when it played a deadly form of hopscotch across the islands of the central Philippines on Friday.
Barreling across palm-fringed beaches and plowing into frail homes with a force that by some estimates appoached that of a tornado, but sprawling across a huge area of this far-flung archipelago, Typhoon Haiyan delivered a crippling blow to this country’s midsection. Disorder and looting over the weekend compounded the destruction.
The first and most vocal city to cry for help over the weekend was Tacloban on Leyte Island, which was also one of the first places hit by the storm. From many other communities along the storm’s track, virtually all communications were cut off.
The typhoon left Tacloban in ruins, as a storm surge as high as 13 feet overwhelmed its streets, with reports from the scene saying most of the houses had been damaged or destroyed in the city of 220,000. More than 300 bodies have already been recovered, said Tecson John S. Lim, the city administrator, adding that the toll could reach 10,000 in Tacloban alone.
“There is no power, no water, nothing,” Mr. Gazmin said. “People are desperate. They’re looting.”
The typhoon began turning its deadly force Sunday toward central and northern Vietnam, where more than 500,000 people were evacuated even as meteorologists said the typhoon had begun weakening from the sustained winds of 190 miles an hour that it brought to the Philippines. But as it neared the mainland, it turned northward, its eye skirting the Vietnamese coastline.

The HTC M8 is allegedly the company's flagship smartphone for 2014 and today it has emerged in a trio of photos. While the quality of the shots could certainly be better, the images suggest HTC is keen on sticking with the design strategy it introduced with the HTC One.
As pictured, the HTC M8 boasts a cutout for a fingerprint scanner above the camera, though not as large as the one introduced on the HTC One Max.
Another notable change in the design department is the smartphone's profile. The HTC M8 looks to be a lot thinner than the HTC One, and with more rounded edges.
Under the hood, the HTC M8 is rumored to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset likely running at 2.2GHz alongside 3GB of RAM. It's not yet clear what Android version the M8 is going to run, but rumors suggest the company's Sense UI version 6 is going to be included.
As for the display, rumor has it that it's between 5" and 5.2" with a resolution of 2K (2048 × 1080) pixels. Nothing of this is confirmed yet, so take it with a pinch of salt. We hope to hear more information regarding the HTC M8 soon.

The diplomatic row between India and Nigeria over the tension caused by Nigerian nationals who blocked the national highway in Goa last week could further worsen with the Goa government hardening its stand calling the Nigerian community a 'cancer' to the state.
"Good and quality tourists will not like to visit Goa seeing such a scene. These Nigerians are like a 'cancer'. This will affect our coastal belt badly," said State Art and Culture Minister Dayanand Mandrekar.
Even Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar minced no words. "I will take action against foreigners staying illegally in Goa. Most of the foreigners arrested in drug paddling cases in the past are Nigerians. The Nigerians behaved aggressively and blocked National Highway. Would they have kept quiet if Indians had behaved in a similar manner in their country? This is a law and order situation and not diplomatic," said Parrikar.
The aggressive stand of the Goa government comes a day after the Nigerian High Commissioner to India vented his anger over the police investigations into the death of a Nigerian national.
"We are being given the impression that the murder of this person is not important to you, your only concern is that of your own people. I think both governments can handle it through diplomatic channels. Its not an issue than can be solved through the press or the media," said Ndubuisi Vitus Amaku, Nigerian Ambassador.
Police on Tuesday arrested eight suspects in the murder of a Nigerian national who was killed in October. Goa Police believe a narcotics-related turf-war between rival gangs led to the murder.
What began as a clash between the Nigerian community and the locals in Goa now threatens to snowball into a major diplomatic row, as while the Goa government has initiated a drive to flush out Nigerians staying illegally the Nigerian community has accused the government of discrimination.
