Phones › Re: UMIDIGI DISCUSSION THREAD by Stevengold(m): 4:28pm On Sep 18, 2020
This happened barely 9 days after purchase of umidigi a7 Pro for a customer on jumia.

And I called, and sent an email they said I've passed the deadline for returning of items. I'd advise not to get this device, it's really frustrating. And it's looking as though I adviced my client wrongly. The weight is now on me.

And nothing happened to the phone, no crackes or scratch to put up a defence.

And it's surprising how the price keeps falling. I bought this 43k on jumia, now its 39k or so.

And I don't think they even have a repair center here in PHC. It's quite sad.

If it has no issues you can consider it. Depends on why u want to also use an iPhone as well.

For me I can swap to iPhone cuz of their secured eco system.
Aside that, Samsung, Huawei or Xioami got my attention.

more than 400,000 people die of malaria every year...does that make it scary to you ?
We're talking about covid sir, I'm fully aware that people die of related diseases, like the ones u mentioned.

But the issue or the topic in contention is covid 19 based. And since players are now testing positive, they should hold on for a while. Covid is barely a year old and it has nearly 900,000 lives.

I would have as well said people die more from domestic violence and terrorist attacks than covid 19.

Whatever method you propose would require human intervention.

If it is the same set of humans that populate Nigeria that you are banking on then I'm sorry, it would fail monumentally.
If they can look into blockchain system and implement it into e-voting it'll be difficult to crack. I know so many possibilities.

Is it the same NBA election that we read about people challenging here that you consider valid?

Please stop comparing the Mickey mouse voting of BBN with national politics.

PS, I'm a member of the NBA, nairalanders will always say.
I'm an insider, I knw what I'm saying.

I'm saying they can improve on those methods.
Well, if you've not lost someone dear in an election crisis, you won't appreciate the idea of an alternative.

Micky mouse or not.
If CBN can make everyone have BVN nationwide, and that BVN traces accounts linked to that number given.

Then we can have a unique code or number for everyone to vote. I'm seeing the possibilities. Also check the merits of e-voting.

And if ur not, don't sweat It. 2023 is coming.

Golan007:
I gave a listing of possible ways to compromise e voting.

Have you asked yourself why e-voting hasn't been implemented in advanced nations such as the UK or even US?

Was it not the other day we were speaking of INEC servers when we carried out offline elections?
So which is better?? To vote manually and election still get rigged? With lives lost?

E-voting hasn't been implemented in those countries because the manual system has been seemlessly working for them.

A writer says "its only a mad man that'll do same thing over and over again and expect a different result"

Let's try something new. NBA election is a test run of e-voting, and I must tell u, I'm impressed.

If people can vote via sms for BBnaija, project fame, and the likes without glitches, then it's possible to introduce something similar.

First it was NBA and ghost voters, now NMA... Chai
Ghost voter ke.
Everyone was given a specific code to login and vote during the NBA election I meticulously monitored the process.

What stops NMA from following same patternhuh Its simple, seee they've planned to rig it.

NBA has set a standard for Nigerian government to build on. But they will never follow cuz they knw what's at stake.
These violence are so unnecessary if everyone is home voting.

Golan007:
You think so?

Then you don't know Nigerians yet.
As if some pipo knw wetin be cell tower.
Go north ask even an elite what cell tower is.

Let voting be done digitally.
Either by Sms or connect all voting to bvn, let's see how they'll hack it.

It's possible! Just that the currupt system won't allow it.
