FamilyRe: Help Gambling Addiction!!! It's Ruining Me by SteveOfu: 2:36pm On Apr 09, 2019
Betting on sports is for entertainment and it is not a business opportunity. I know I will lose customers for saying this but I will prefer to say the truth rather than lead someone on.

IT IS NOT A BUSINESS.

See it this way.

Mr A has N1,000 and he goes to watch a movie

Mr B has N1,000 and he goes to have a beer

Mr C has N1,000 and he decides to go to NairaBET. If he wins, its a bonus. If he doesnt, the adventure and maybe the adrenaline is the entertainment that cost him N1,000

At the end of the day, none of the three guys went back home with anything. Don't bet trying to get rich. Chances are that you WILL NOT. A few have struck gold but its all luck. Bet for fun. Play with only what you can afford to "dash" someone. Too much of everything is bad. If you bet with all your salary, its bad. If you drink with all your salary, its bad. If you even buy clothes with all your salary it is financial recklessness and that is bad.

Do everything with caution.

I still bet myself. I have accounts in other bookies and I still bet. When abroad, I chill a lot in Ladbrokes or William Hill. But I keep my bets limited to what I can afford to lose.

Gambling is an addiction to stop gambling ( take spirits and religion out of this ) you need to understand what addiction is, what causes it and how to live with your addictive traits.

Addiction can be a life long battle but it does not have to be, sobriety can be achieved if you accept that you cannot just one aspect of your life. It's a Change of lifestyle as well as mindsets. Therapy would help but I am not sure if this is affordable to you.

FamilyRe: Spouse Insensitivity by SteveOfu: 2:26pm On Apr 09, 2019
are you married?
MissRike:
Dear Op, my advice to you is to sit your husband down and have a heart-to-heart talk regarding the issues bothering you. Try and tell him how hurt you are with the way he portrays you to his family and with the way he runs the family. He's your husband and I'm very sure he still has an iota of feelings and regards for you like when you 1st started. I know it can be disheartening sometimes when someone you call yours goes about telling his family that you're a bad person but, just talk to him so as to lift your own burdens.

As regards your joint account, you've already accepted it so, the only thing you'll do now is to deal with him with wisdom. If there's any reason to use the money in the joint account, it must be reasonable enough. For me, please, please and please, try and have a separate account and if possible don't let him know much about it coz I'm sure he also has a separate account that he runs apart from the joint account. Men can be so funny sometimes.

The Op has twisted the Bible to suit his wants.

A man is worse than an unbelievabler if he cannot cater to the needs of his family.

So why is the Op considering marriage when he is jobless?

Is marriage a mandatory obligation?
It is, and the italics is actually the opposite
FamilyWhich Is Preferable? by SteveOfu(op): 9:07am On Apr 04, 2019
Should a man marry a woman if he is jobless with hopes that he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtain favor from God?
Or
The couple should make money first before getting married?
