I am beginning to see Tinibu has very bad advisers around him. Let’s look at this without any sentiments of tribe, religion etc. Why are you approving 5 million eye glasses when the health sector is in shambles. Don’t you think it’s better to improve the health sector and that will follow? Why not give health insurance to citizens! Again I am sure if you keep food on one side and eyeglasses on the other for someone that is hungry and has eye problems that person will definitely take food first. I stand to be corrected This are some of the things this administration is coming up with that makes me believe they are clueless. Note that I don’t like PDP, APC and LP in fact I hate all politicians. I just want someone that will change this country so I can come back to Nigeria and set up something. |

I cry for this country. It’s not about APC alone, it’s about PDP, politicians and all of them, they have killed us all |
zangaozanga:When you subsidise fuel, the price of food will drop also |
I am not despising the fact that war is bad and more sadly innocent babies are dying because of power tussle. But would he have written this epistle if he was nominated as a minister? |

We are beginning to see a return of Ikoyi bridge suic!de jumpers-Reno Omokri calls on President Tinubu to increase minimum wage Reno Omokri has said that the poverty across Nigeria is causing a return in the number of persons committing suicide at the Ikoyi bridge jumpers. He pointed out that he has always been in support of the fuel subsidy removal but added that the removal has caused food inflation. He argued that helping Niger republic is good but that President Tinubu should not forget that is primary assignment is to Nigerians.

He is not a hater, it is a valid question. As a citizen you deserve to know what the measures are. It’s not about tribalism and personal hatred always. IconicR: |
This was exactly what I was scared of before the removal of fuel subsidy. This is a pure case of money change hands. Let me ask those screaming removal of subsidy is good; isn’t it better that there’s massive corruption and you’re buying fuel at 187 naira than buy fuel at 617 naira and still there’s massive corruption in the system? What a lot of people were asking is how are you sure money saved from not paying subsidy will be put into good use. Well here you have your answer |
This is sad that Nigerians can’t join hands together and fight all the stupid politicians irrespective of where they are from. Tinubu is from the west, akpabio is from akwa ibom and ganduje is from the north etc. They all join to squander Nigerian resources but the masses are busy fighting themselves Tunde835: |
Oga just relax, soon it will be 1500 no need to shout now. Tinibu has not started yet, when he starts, Nigerians will understand something. We must learn a lesson. |

Just as the NLC president said, it’s a good idea for the lawmakers and senators to buy really good bullet proof cars, because when you impoverish the people you will need more than bullet proof cars to save yourself. |
phorget:Exactly, they keep saying have patience. But it’s someone who is alive that will have patience |

Fuel Price: Radio caller in Ondo breaks down in tears, describes hardship as ‘satanic’ A caller on a radio programme on Fresh FM, 102.9 Akure, on Thursday, broke down in tears as reactions continue to trail the steep increase in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) otherwise known as petrol, by President Bola Tinubu-led federal government. Identifying himself as ‘Awilo’, the radio caller, who described the increase of petrol to N500 to N617 per litre as “satanic”, said the development has made life unbearable for his family and many other poor Nigerians. “How do they want us to survive this hardship with this increment again? It’s satanic and this is also unfair, it’s a big punishment for the Nigerian masses. What exactly is our offence? Did we vote for this man (Tinubu) to suffer us? Why always the poor? We can’t cope any longer. Honestly, we cannot cope. This hardship is just too much. We’re in pain,” he cried, as the anchor begged him to control his tears on radio. He explained that with the increase in the pump price, the living standards of the people would now nosedive even as the government was yet to provide the necessary palliatives to the citizens to mitigate the effect of the subsidy removal. As Nigerians continue to suffer the consequential effect unleashed on them by the fuel subsidy removal, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), on Tuesday, jerked up the pump prices of petrol to N617 per litre from N500 per litre. Mele Kyari, the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, had attributed the rise in petrol pump rice in the country to market forces, saying that the increase was not based on a short supply of fuel. Mr Kyari said, “They are just prices depending on the market realities. This is the meaning of making sure that the market regulates itself. Prices will go up and sometimes they will come down also. “No, there is no supply issue. It is not a supply issue. When you go to the market, you buy the product, you come to the market and sell it at its prevailing market price. It has nothing to do with supply. We don’t have supply issues.” But many Nigerians have refused to buy into the explanation of Mr Kyari on the new petrol price as many have continued to kick against the government of Mr Tinubu, who announced the removal of fuel subsidy on May 29, without providing palliatives to cushion the effect.
