Former Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, has ended his contract with English championship side, Coventry City, after featuring for the side only thrice.

The club disclosed this in a statement published on its website on Wednesday.

It said the contract binding the Aiyegbeni to the club was terminated with immediate effect based on mutual agreement.

Big Brother Nigeria (#BBNaija) 2017 five top finalists have expressed gratitude to viewers for their votes in the ongoing TV reality show which has entered its final week.

The show which started on January 22, generated 11 million votes from viewers during the April 2 eviction show.

Bisola, Tboss, DebbieRise, Marvis and Efe the last man standing, took turns to bear their minds during their diary sessions on Monday evening with `Biggie’, owner of the house.

DebbieRise said that the last week in the house was different from the others calling it exciting and positive.

She said it was her discipline and compassion that brought her this far adding that, she would give her best to ensure she took home the grand prize.

Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa, on Sunday survived a car accident without as much as a scratch.

The accident took place along Ibadan-Ijebu road while Amusa was returning from the premiere of new movie ‘Pathetic’ in Ibadan, Oyo state.
The actress was in the vehicle with Yemisi Jacobs, a producer/director, and Dami Adenuga, a public relations executive.
Adenuga shared a video from the aftermath of the event on Instagram.
Amusa also reposted the video.

Reports have it that Delectable Actress, Ini Edo has allegedly shut down her famous Lagos Night Club, Mimz Club, Bar and Lounge in Lekki Lagos, just barely after two years of operation.

According to LIB TV who dished this report via the new Rumour series, “Rumour Has It”, the club which was launched in September 2015 recently shut down following poor management.

It’s Day 70 and It is Sunday Eviction Night. Today, one of the Nominated housemates up for eviction will be going home. The housemates up for eviction are: TBoss, Debie-Rise, Bally and Marvis.

It is Day 70, today April 2nd and it is eviction Night… Bally Has Been Evicted from the Big Brother Naija Live Show.. and we are sad to him leave.

The eviction went differently today.. as Ebuka didn’t announce him as the evicted housemate.. Instead, his Friend came into the house to get him out.

The Finale is next week, and the tension is really high, this of course resulted in 11 million total votes. This was made known to the viewers by the host of the show, Ebuka.

Recall, on Monday, TBoss, Marvis, Debie-Rise and Efe were all up for possible eviction, and then Biggie instructed the Head of House, Bisola to do a save and replace; a swap which he previously said won’t be made. The only option apparently, was Bally, So, Bisola swapped Bally for Efe, thus removing Efe from possible Eviction.

A United States Air Force dog, Jony, serving with the 20th Security Forces Squadron, has retired after nine years, (68 dog years) of distinguished service.

Jony’s retirement was announced by the U.S. Department of Defence.

Pentagon said in a statement, that Jony retired due to a compressed disc in his spine, and has been permanently put in the hands of its handler, Air Force Staff, Sergeant Anthony Despins, a military dog handler, who met Jony as his first canine partner in 2012.

Pentagon said, “Together, the two used their individual skill sets to make a formidable team, eventually becoming certified as an explosives detection and patrol unit to keep people around the world safe and their fellow airmen out of harm’s way.”

Pentagon further quoted Despins as saying that “Jony was really excited, always happy to see people and very energetic.

A NYSC Official Brutalized a corper in Ekiti

In a swift reaction to debunk claim of maltreating a corps member, the EKiti state NYSC has issued out a REJOINDER to counter claim that a NYSC Official Brutalized a corper in Ekiti for not wearing her jacket as false.

Angel Eluna is unknown to NYSC Ekiti State. I wish our young Nigerians will be truthful and bold enough to narrate issues as they really are and put their real names on such narrations.

The real corps member involved in this matter is CONFIDENCE AZUBUIKE (EK/16B/2389).

Confidence was not molested by any official of NYSC Ekiti State. Rather it was the other way round. Confidence in her statement to the State Coordinator said she held the official’s shirt by his collar because she did not know he was an official.

She quickly released him when the Local Government Inspector introduced himself. Investigation into the incident which required the call for the corps member’s file has revealed a whole lot about who Confidence is.

One wonders the source of Confidence’s confidence in being so unruly. You need to see what she wore for Community Development Service. Her cap was wrong, White T-Shirt was something else, her canvas was Pink, Khakhi Jacket tied round her waist. Above all, she refused to be corrected and would rather fight the NYSC official.

Let it be known that the reddish patch on her arm was caused by the long chain of her handbag strap. It was as she held the officer’s shirt that the bag strap pressed on her arm leaving the reddish spot because she is fair. This is the Account of an individual that witnessed the incident.

NYSC Ekiti is coordinated by a mother who will not allow any of her corps members to be maltreated by anybody. However, she will not tolerate any misbehaviour on the part of the corps members.

The True Facts about the Treatment and Management of Chiamaka De Freitas at MART Medicare

It is with heavy hearts that the management of the MART Group empathize with the husband, family and friends of Chiamaka De Freitas over this unfortunate and tragic loss of their daughter, mother and wife approximately 48 hours after a C-Section surgery. In 4 years of existence this is the first ever mortality case experienced by the MART Medicare.

As a maternity unit with zero tolerance for maternal morbidity, mortality and perinatal mortality, we put in place that all our patient’s care are consultant led. Two consultants Ob/Gyn are always in attendance for surgeries, including consultant anesthetist, pediatrician and world class perioperative nurses for any surgery.

Chiamaka was so precious to us that her history dates back to when she was trying to conceive 3 years ago and successfully underwent IVF at Medical Art Center, she conceived and continued her antenatal care with us.

When Chiamaka didn’t show up for her regular antenatal classes at 37 weeks in the hospital, the consultants were concerned. They contacted her at week 39, at this time she told them that she was out of town and will attend when she gets back. When she presented herself at 41 weeks, the doctors had to carry out another assessment.

After further evaluations it was discovered that there was a very low volume of amniotic fluid left for baby’s survival.

It is at this point they informed her husband that the baby will have to be delivered by caesarean section, but he was hell bent on his wife having a normal vaginal delivery. He insisted on his wife having induction of labour despite the above facts. Mr. De Freitas was counseled and persuaded to see reasons why a C-section was a necessity instead of vaginal delivery which would have been very RISKY if not IMPOSSIBLE.
