Former Big Brother Naija housemates, T-boss and Gifty Powers have engaged in a public fight following Uriel’s demand for a welcome home party.

Uriel, also an ex-BBN housemate had during the week asked for a welcome home party which other housemates, especially those that stayed in the show till towards the end.

Recall that while T-boss lasted till the end of the reality show and finished as the second runner up, Uriel was evicted alongside Kemen towards the middle of the show

Gifty, however was earlier booted out of the show

T-boss had expressed her displeasure over Uriel’s demand when she did not make the top five. Saying via her Instagram page, @bossnation, Tboss said, “What’s her welcome home party for? She wasn’t in the top 5. You guys are trying so hard to compete with the boss. I’m getting annoyed, let me unfollow this fake girl.”

In what escalated into a more heated verbal fight between the housemates, T-boss added, “You are busy gossiping while T-boss is busy shinning bright like a diamond. Foolish girl. Continue.”

Reacting to this, Gifty wrote, “@bossnation, one advice darling: quit being an errand girl, it sucks. I hope your boss pays you with love and not with pride.

THE Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign state of Biafra (MASSOB) said yesterday that the bail granted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was a kind of soft landing for the federal government to overcome the mounting pressure against it on the matter.

The Acting Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, on Thursday disclosed that the introduction of the whistleblower policy by the Federal Government has led to the recovery of about N17 billion by the Commission.

Magu gave this hint while presenting a paper titled “Before Corruption Kills Nigeria,” at the 62nd Award Night of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), held at the Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotels, Abuja.

No fewer than five soldiers have been reportedly killed and 40 others seriously injured after a member of the Boko Haram sect rammed an explosives-laden pick-up truck into a military convoy in Borno State.

The attack was reportedly carried out by a sect member believed to be a loyalist of factional leader, Abu Mus’ab Al-Barnawi.

The management of Covenant University has suspended over 200 students of the institution for missing the just concluded Easter ‘Youth Alive’ programme.

Punch reports that the affected students were placed on compulsory suspension for not being part of the retreat.


Meanwhile, some affected students have described as “unjust” the suspension of undergraduates at the institution.

According to them, the rules of their admission did not say it was compulsory for them to attend the programme organised by ‎the faith-based institution.

A 400-level student said that over 200 students were affected by the decision of the university.


He said, “We were going for the services in the morning and night and people were getting tired of it because we were also preparing for exams. So, the Vice- Chancellor got angry and ordered that those who missed the services be sanctioned.

“Some were suspended for four weeks and those who had missed eight services for the four days got a year.”

According to another 300-level student, some of them have been prevented from sitting for exams and they had no means of protesting the sanctions, which he said was ‘unfair.


“The mood in school is really tensed. Though students are not protesting but they are angry because you are preparing for an exam you’re not sure you will sit for, until the paper starts.

Abuja – Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have said that it was not compulsory for President Mohammadu Buhari to preside over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

Gov. Nasir El- Rufai of Kaduna State made this known on Wednesday in Abuja, while addressing journalists on the outcome of the governors’ meeting with members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC).

He also said the constitution made provision for the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, to preside over such meeting in the president`s absence.

El- Rufai, who was reacting to speculations that President Buhari could not attend the FEC meeting for the third consecutive time because he was ill, said the governors were not bothered by such speculations.

“We are not worried yet and have no reason to be worried, but we however, urge Nigerians to continue to pray for the president to be in good health.’’.

He said it was normal for the president to have medical challenge, considering the fact that he was over 70 years old.

“Even me that is 57 years old, I still go for medical check up,’’ El-Rufai said.

He, however, debunked insinuations that APC had internal crisis, stressing that the party was intact with a unified leadership structure, adding that contrary to speculations, its NWC was intact.

Meet Mariam Nabatanzi Babirye, the 37-year-old mother who has already given Birth to 38 children.


Mariam lives in Kabimbiri Village, Mukono District in Uganda and the villagers have already given her a nickname, Nalongo Muzaala Bana, which means “the twin mother who produces quadruplets.”
In what must be some sort of record, Mariam has six sets of twins, four sets of triplets, three sets of quadruplets and two single births.
In a recent interview with a Ugandan daily, she said:
“My father gave birth to 45 children with different women and [they] all came in quintuplets, quadruplets, twins and triplets.”
Mariam says her father had 45 children, many of whom came in quintuplets, quadruplets and twins.
Dr Charles Kiggundu, a gynecologist at Mulago Hospital confirms that Mariam may have taken after her father, as her case may be genetic.
He said: “Her case is genetic predisposition to hyper-ovulate (releasing multiple eggs in one cycle), which significantly increases the chance of having multiples.”

Mariam said she was married off at an early age and she gave birth for the first time at the age of 13 to twins.
She said she sought medical advice several times in a bid to stop having children but doctors advised her that since she produces so many eggs, it would be dangerous to her health.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday.

Kanu was granted bail on health grounds.
The IPOB leader is also expected to provide three sureties one of whom must be a serving Senator, a Jewish religious leader and highly respected person, who own land anywhere in Abuja.
The bail bond has been set at N100 million for each surety.
Kanu was also ordered never to grant any interviews to the press, pending the outcome of his trial. He will not be seen in a gathering of more than 10 people.
Justice Binta Nyako made it clear that Kanu’s bail will be revoked, if any of the orders are flouted.
However, the other accused persons were denied bail. According to Justice Nyako, treasonable felony – the charges against them is a serious offence against the state.

Earlier today, there were reports making the rounds on how top Nigerian acts Davido and Iceprince, had a brawl in Warri on Friday night.

It was alleged that the “IF” crooner, was all boiled up and ready to engage in a battle with the rapper, but was later calmed down by his own people.

A new report by LIB details what really went down. Read:
‘Last night, an event (Delta Alive) organised by Shina Peller (owner of Quilox night club) went down in Warri. The show had Davido, Lil Kesh, Ice Prince, CDQ and others as headliners.

According to an inside source, trouble started from the airport when Davido was picked up in a G-Wagon while Ice Prince was picked up with a saloon car.

The gesture infuriated Ice Prince and he let the organisers know he wasn’t pleased. Davido got to hear of his complains and was angry too.

Then the issue escalated during the concert when Ice Prince was made to perform before Lil Kesh, a move that’s seen as an insult to the bigger artiste.

Ice Prince made it an issue back stage and Davido who had been boiling from the car complaint and obviously a close friend of Lil Kesh jumped in defence of Kesh and things got messy.

Our source said, ‘when they got back to the hotel, Davido was really pissed so much that he went to Ice Prince’s door and started shouting and banging on the door before they calmed him down.

When they were coming back to Lagos, they had to move them to the airport separately and put them in separate lounges at the airport because they were still boiling at each other’.

There’s also news that the fight backstage led to the destruction of equipment but LIB cant verify that information at the moment as effort to reach all parties involved has been futile so far.
