Just ignore that e-monkeydolla. |
Olril18: then die waiting at home...Leave him na,he can decide to stay @ home even after the strike is called off. |
SIR KOL!:Stop comparing Osaze with Suarez abeg,Suarez is world class player for christ sake.I don't even understand your argument self.I like Osaze and I want him to play for the eagles, but SE has really improved without Osaze, which will make it more hard for him to breakthrough. |
Emmadani: that guy as tried and sacrifice alot 4 9ja.he was always available, punctuality to camp was an A.almost every qualifying match he was always available even if the match was to be played in somali. There have always been beef among naija players,I remember Promise Isaac telling Siasia that naija U23 team going to Beijing Olympics would refuse to play if Mikel is called up, cause he failed to show up for qualifiers. The beef towards Osaze started when he was in fine form for West brom,I believe Keshi was only trying to avoid drama in the team, which is why Osaze was axed.Osaze is a very down to earth kinda guy,he was loyal to national assignment.I remember when SE came to play in Abeokuta,he came out of the hotel to chat with the fans and also took some pictures. Its very funny cause some guys are currently having discussions about this particular topic, lol. |
good.good:Very funny, most ladies that love football kinda like Osaze, but the case is different here. |
Ayima: There is one thing i will like say,ASUU always say they are fighting for us students because they don't want to produce half baked graduates. Now all i can tell u is that 80% of the lecturers lecturing in my school attended the same school and the infrastructure in their time may be worst than now.So my question is that,is ASUU telling us now that their members are half baked? because the way some of those lecturers lecture is very terrible i mean u can't even comprehen their teaching, some speaks very bad english that can make you laugh and they send you out of the class.God please help Nigeria.Don't mind those lazy lecturers. |
Tadon200: Is ASUU your girlfriend? wake up from your sleepMeaningless post. |
greenPHP: What will Gej use the four months salary for? ANSWER: They will LOOT them. Who is the cause of the strike? ANSWER: FG. how? ANSWER: the refuse to honor there 2009 agreement.FG has not been sincere and ASUU has not been sincere with the students. |
chucky234: Ideye signed for Dynamo in 2011 which I agree is less than 4yrs but he has scored more goals for Dynamo in two seasons than the 30 goals Osaze scored for both La Lovier(Belgium) and Lille (France) in five seasons combined.Don't compare Ideye and Osaze based on there club performance, judging by club football,I think Aiyegbeni should still be naija number one striker. |
Felixjude: @OP, this question shouldn't even arise in the first place. Sentiment apart, Osaze is surely needed in the team, imagine Moses & osaze operating on the wings, with Onazi & Mikel @the central midfield....the result can better be imagined. No more,no less. |
collynzo2: I cannot go through a thread like this without putting in my favourite statistics, Osaze scored 9 goals in 10 years for Nigeria, Emenike has cored more goals than him in a space of one year +, Osaze was a prominent member of the squad when we failed to qualify for Germany 2006, he was a prominent member of the squad when we failed to qualify for AFCON 2012, he was a member of the squad when we flopped at Angola 2010, Ghana 2008 and South Africa 2010 world cup.Don't blame Osaze for naija,s missing out in 2006 WC,Chukwu underestimated Angola during the first leg qualifier by fielding team B,Utaka was the only 1st team player that featured in that match.Have you forgotten how instrumental he was during 2010 WC qualifier,he even won best naija player during that time.He hardly played in 2010 WC which led to his clash with Lagerback.I know his got problem with ego but please don't blame him for naija's flop during those yrs, sincerely he has really tried for naija. |
Tundenoni: chei! Ideye top 9? So where will d goal come from? Even enyeama can score goals than ideye,Bros abeg dis one na world cup o! Wit dis kain formation even botswana we won't beatImagine Ideye that couldn't score against Tahiti. |
chucky234: Though Ideye has been playing poorly for the Super Eagles but he has been a better player in Europe than Osaze, Ideye has a far better goal ratio than Osaze in Europe.Ideye hasn't spend up to 4 seasons in Dynamo. |
He idiota is only craving for attention, the loser that can't even shine Moses's shoe.Na jealousy go kill Gaynians. |
safarigirl: just remembered Keshi has a 50-man list, I assume the 23 will come from that list i.e there's Osaze and 26 other dudes competing with the current 23, so why is emphasis being put on Osaze like the others are non-existent? I support competition, but no one is thinking of the other 26 that could compete with our regulars when 20 of those could be eons ahead of Osaze in skill and raw hunger to achieve. Osaze isn't interested in winning, he just wants to be at the World Cup, we need people who want more than just an appearance.its obvious Keshi doesn't need him, with the likes of Ameobi and Dike that have shown there seriousness,Keshi already has a list of player that will make it to the world cup.He will only work on standby players like Ik Uche,Taiwo and Osaze,in case any of the 1st team player picks up an injury.I'm an Osaze fan,but nobody is bigger than the team, the team has been through developmental stages together and won't be very easy anyone to break into without hard work.Keshi already has his list, and I don't think Osaze can make it,its kinda late. |

@Safarigirl,world cup is around the corner, players need to compete for shirt.Osaze being called up doesn't guarantee him a place in the world cup squad, rather it will bring a unique and healthy competition among the players. We need a strong squad for the world cup, inviting him and other players will serve as a leverage. |
I believe they went through normal training, only in naija some applicants will be running miles to meet up and would still be dropped later on while some will receive there employment letters in the comfort of there living room. |
xtophy: i rili nid 2 be ur friend........u're veri sensible and intelligentWe are already, thanks. |
mvem: .....so wetin NANS do....when all these was happening students were sitting down on chairs typing nonsense on social media lyk u.....if everyone was touched, everystudent suppose to come out on the street and say enough is enough not only in the educational sector but in everything Nigeria......In iran who led the revolution in the 80s it was students, in greece who led the revolution it was university students...In the arab spring majorly everyone were youths and students.....Stop sitting der and complaining, stand up and fight if u hate d system....We nigerians complain and do nothing...We too lyk our lyf but we dont know smth lyf must be lost during revolutions...Nigerian students aren't cowards,we don't want to justify all the names they ve tagged on us.They call us thugs, armed robbers, prostitute and cultist. They even call us “half baked”,please answer this question,if Nigerian students are half baked, who are the chefs? |
tunex23: Guy no insult me oo, no b me keep you 4 house, Our opinion differs bt dat does nt mean you open ur dirty mouth and insult me, u beta no try am @ all.Mr man,you deserve everything he said to you,he was also voicing his opinion,if you don't like it,keep your silly and biased opinion to your siblings at home. |
Dudecollins: 1) ASUU: A Union.ASUUTIC:ASUU being lazy |
tunex23: ASUU lost public sympathy here on nairaland, I hav listen to many radio and tv talk show a lot of parent and student are on ASUU side, the way we tink and reason differs, so you dnt expect everyone to side FG anwd ASUU. As for the Sack, we are just few days ahead! We shall see who wins.Sorry to say this but you spew trash up there,ASUU lost public sympathy the minute GEJ went on marathon meeting with them. Will ASUU pay for new accommodation for students?NO,the parents will,ASUU is demanding for arrears they didn't work for.Its obvious ASUU don't wanna lose at all but its ok for student to lose 5months academic calendar cause we students aren't human being abi.ASUU must be ready to sacrifice something as the Nigerian students have sacrificed 5months of there academic calendar and new payment for accommodation. |
tunex23: ASUU beta not call off the strike, if not the purpose of the strike has been defeated, If truely the FG has d student @ heart they should sign the agreement and release the 100Billion, ASUU knows FG will not pay that money, it very obvious. That idiot Wike coming on Air 2 rant that they wil sack all the lecturers is really a big joke! That can never happen and it com to show that ASUU were right, FG are the one playin politics here.ASUU shouldn't call off the strike?you go hear am from other posters. |
zickie: For the first time I can see clearly that this ASUU strike isn't only selfish but also probably political. After using various stakeholders and committee to address the situation, even the VP, the president personally deprived himself of sleep over nite and hold a 13hour mtg over nite with ASUU and yet this idiots are saying rubbish! Even doh am not a student I couldn't sleep well dat nite the mtg was held. I slept off while d mtg was stil on-going only to learn it ended early dat morning. And you all stil blv the President isn't concerned? Am not a fan of GEJ but the truth be told, ASUU has anoda agenda! Am happy for the step d govt has taken. Let d idiot lecturers console demselves dat more dan 60000 lecturers are stil needed in d university, they've forgotten dat more than 6million graduates needs dat same job. Infact, its going to be an opportunity to throw out these lecturers who can't lecture, achaic, some haven't changed their notes for the past 10yrs! And they are the ones harrassing girls and extoting boys in the university. Enough graduates with masters and PhD from even yankee full everywhr to take over, who will teach current trends and technology. No be dis idiot lecturers. I pray ASUU don't resume and I pray FG really advertise dos positions, then see what happens! Na 600000 pple go apply. Idiot ASUUIntelligent post, don't really know if FG can pull this off. Some lecturers might opt out of the strike cause ASUU has lost public sympathy. |
Thread derailed, not even a meaningful comment bout the topic, adios. |
The group make sense. |

Kidnappers have seized the 83-year-old father of a former Super Eagles player, Chikelue Iloenyosi, in Njikoka Local Government, Anambra State. PUNCH Metro learnt that the victim, James Iloenyosi, was on his way back from the church on Monday when he was abducted by the assailants. A family source said the kidnappers blocked Chikelue father’s car and then put him into another car before speeding off. He said, “On Monday, Pa Iloenyosi (James) was driving home from morning Mass when some men in a Toyota Camry blocked his Peugeot 504 and pulled him out of his vehicle. They subsequently put him inside their own vehicle and sped off. “After organising a search party without success, we called his son on the telephone to inform him of the development. “The following day, the kidnappers called us with the victim’s telephone and demanded N50m ransom. Family members have been trying to negotiate with them but they have refused to collect anything less.” When our correspondent contacted Chikelue on the telephone, he confirmed the development. He said, “I received a telephone call from the village that my father had been kidnapped. Later we were able to recover his vehicle, but my father’s telephone was switched off for the rest of the day. It was the following day that the kidnappers called with their demand.” He said the family was still meeting to plan the next cause of action, while negotiation was ongoing with the kidnappers. The former Nigerian defender said the incident was more painful as his father’s twin brother had only recently died. “We have been begging these kidnappers but they have been threatening to kill my father if we did not pay. That money is just too much,” he said. www.punchng.com/metro/kidnappers-abduct-ex-footballers-father-demand-n50m/#comments |
