the Benin ruled Eko for centuries until it was colonized by the British and b4 the Portuguese had discovered it and named Eko Lagos .
then when Nigeria was formed Lagos was it's capital which made it the centre of development and after the civil war a lot of Igbo migrated to the Lagos ( which at that time was the capital of Nigeria and the capital of a country by definition is no man's land)

so now we have a relatively developed society
and no one can lay sole claim to it alone
not the Benin , not the Yorubas and not the Igbos

Every bit of education in that side is 'sorting', they are yet to get a way round 'new' JAMB. I pity their future generations; everyone is involved in it without moral or opposition.

They are very boastful of these and always justify these cheating acts; how do you explain someone selling in the market and rarely attended class but would have distinction, first class or 9 - As in WAEC/NECO. The society simply support and justify these with bragging rights without fear of future implications. For your information, I attended school over there and not so happy about the whole thing.

Had it been it was WAEC or NECO now, you would have been seeing some unusual names. They would even tell you their states are top five most performing States in those exams. But computer based JAMB now, none of their candidates is in the top five.
